The reason Somalia is in a state of political and social unrest is because of two factors: One. There are multiple extremely militant and fanatical religious groups trying to gain control of the region both violently and amorally. Two. Somalia does have a government. They have a small coalition government that is just as oppressive and power hungry as the terrorists trying to remove them.
