mine is doing the same thing, but i have the original ds, the first generaton, so there is nothin that you can pull up (that i can see at least) do u know how to fix this, or have any tips? thanx.

when i removed the black (its a black ds lite) plastic strip bit from round the edge of the screen no other plastic or screen came with it, do i need to get something fine and sharp to lift the plastic cover up because i did not go deep enough with the knife the first time?

help would be much appreciated

@Mark742617000027 it might have a newer screen much smaller than the one i had. if thats the case then stop right there. go to ebay and search for a new ds lite touch screen. (around $2 shipping included) , after that search for a tri screw driver around the same price if you dont already have one. and look for a tutorial to replace the touch screen . sorry this couldn't help

@pckilla187 i managed to lift the screen, cleaned behind it, but the problem was still there. all the screws on the back of my ds lite are phillips head (+) so i dont need a triwing. the screw behind the card slot-1 just mashed when i tried to unscrew it.so as you can imagine i am in a bit of trouble. no worries about this tutorial not helping, im sure it helps some people

This still did not work. I have the calibration screen that is never ending. I really wish I understood why this was not working and it is only in the bottom part of the screen.

I'm gona need to completely replace both screens cause my youngest daughter took it upon herself to scratch the hell out of both screens, i'm guessing witha pen or atleast somthing sharp. Can i buy just the clear screens for both top and bottom? Can i just remove them like you did rather then take the whole thing apart?

well make sure the the wires in the screen (plastic screen) have good contact. press down on it hard

yeah i tried lifting up the touch screen.......umm you know how yours has the pink outline thingy my has the black one. when i lifted mine up there was nothing under it just the same touch screen. i reaaallllly need help plz
