My Motorola Droid is the worst piece of shit phone I have every owned. It is unbelievably slow. It takes literally 20 seconds to load the home screen. And every application I use force closes. WTF?!?!
I absolutely love the droid's keyboard. Ive tried both iPhone and droid,and I have to say I love the droid more than the iPhone. The iPhone gets old and doesn't have much customization to it like the droid offers.

i got a droid over an iphonebut im notta fan of my droid..it freezes up and iphones app is SOOO much better...even tho verizon has service in SO many more places than At&t...but only thing i LOVE about the droid over the iphone is the slide out keyboard....

@AsafSutton I would personally say Milestone ALL DAY, I got 1 2day and it has been my DREAM phone for a while (mainly cause of Android OS & QWERTY Keyboard). Milestone does have "multi-touch", unlike da Droid seemingly, and I tink the screen is bigger then the iPhone. Hope this helps innit.

I found iPhone 3gs (even iphone4) lacked a lot of stuff which is regarded as usual features to a normal user of PDA's for business. iPhone is pretty poor for business and I found that many practitioners in my office have iPhones because of medical apps available on them. However they rarely use those apps and use the phone call function itself. They are always impressed by my new Droids call features and handy little tools that make life so much easier for me.
All this "X country version does support it but the Y country version doesn't" thing is plain stupid, why not just make all the phone with all the great features?

The new droid supports flash which is great if you want to drain your entire battery in less than half an hour. No multi touch, horrible scrolling, cant play games because of the SCROLLING or multitouch. Apple is the best technology company ever

multitasking to come to the iphone, and video chat. Can droid use a video chat? I dont think so. Multitasking looks super sick though. I can leave a game, go check the internet, check my mail, and then go back to the SAME exact spot.
Rooted Droid>iPhone any day. Just the control the user has over every part of the Droid is crazy. Also as a few people have already stated pinch to zoom is on the Droid, I've had it for a few months now. Flash should be supported any month now for the Droid!

Great review as always.I also dont like the physical keyboard, but my wife does like it. One thing not mentioned here regarding the virtual keyboard, is that you can change it,There are plenty of alternate looking and behaving keyboards for android. The lag can be a problem. Again the multi-tasking is a blessing and a curse. An app killer can help here too.

I look at it like this: the droid (with 2.1) will multi-task (ifans still wait for os4), take pics in the dark, dvd quality vids, 16:9 native res (friends exact words for high res yt vid, "holy shit, thats on a phone?"), open development, great apps for free, pinch to zoom, widgets, multiple home screens with folders. Not to mention you can rip a cd and usb it to your phone, if you need more storage, its a micro sd away, pattern lock...

@dudeness42 Best Buy basically has a deal with the phone companies so that they can upgrade valued customers early and sell phones cheaper. Not really sure why, but we just found this out too. My fiance just got a backflip through them for $50...if he woulda went through his provider it woulda been $120

multitasking to come to the iphone, and video chat. Can droid use a video chat? I dont think so. Multitasking looks super sick though. I can leave a game, go check the internet, check my mail, and then go back to the SAME exact spot.

Rooted Droid>iPhone any day. Just the control the user has over every part of the Droid is crazy. Also as a few people have already stated pinch to zoom is on the Droid, I've had it for a few months now. Flash should be supported any month now for the Droid!

Great review as always.I also dont like the physical keyboard, but my wife does like it. One thing not mentioned here regarding the virtual keyboard, is that you can change it,There are plenty of alternate looking and behaving keyboards for android. The lag can be a problem. Again the multi-tasking is a blessing and a curse. An app killer can help here too.

I look at it like this: the droid (with 2.1) will multi-task (ifans still wait for os4), take pics in the dark, dvd quality vids, 16:9 native res (friends exact words for high res yt vid, "holy shit, thats on a phone?"), open development, great apps for free, pinch to zoom, widgets, multiple home screens with folders. Not to mention you can rip a cd and usb it to your phone, if you need more storage, its a micro sd away, pattern lock...

motorola droid DOES have pinch to zoom now as well as live wall paper with the new 2.1 update 1 that just came out. and im sure and system upgrade is soon to be on the way as well. In terms of speed in browser, yeah, but what else? It can't run multiple apps, you're not always connected to the social networks, it has a smaller screen, doesn't have a replaceable battery.....plus Apple has been out how long? Compared to Android.....look where Android came from til now in such a short period of time.....Give it another year, Android is going to be unstoppable.

Don't get an iPhone. YET. Everyone who owns an iPhone (or at least keeps up with technology) knows that a new one is right around the corner. Wait for it. You'll definitely want one. Forget the Droid. Its taking steps backwards in tech. It's just as big and ugly as 8 year old Nokia phones. Then again, be smart. Go with the best phone available for your wireless carrier.
