Not Technical? go watch Kafir or some of their older stuff, the Egyptian scales the utilize in their songs are very difficult to pull of in the key of B, well drop A in the key of B. I think you will find Nile realy are quite Technical.

@opeth41 Dude, Nile is much more technical than The Faceless. I'm a guitarist, and sweep picking, the main "technical" type of soloing they use, isn't necessarily that difficult. However, constantly fast riffs like in Papyrus are really difficult to pull off.

@aarongtr180 Nile isn't any more technical than the faceless. songs like lashed to the slave stick are relatively easy. im a guitarist myself and know a lot of the swept arpeggios in faceless music are pretty hard. i also know Dallas from Nile and he suggested i listened to the faceless. the new song eibelon by the faceless is extremely technical an incorporates 7th order arpeggios , which Nile do not even use. i like both bands but call it out as it is from a real technical aspect not the band

@luisitokapre If you are using a 6 string guitar, tune your guitar down to B standard first (Low to high: B-E-A-D-F#-B). Once you've gotten that far, drop the low B to an A, so that it's A-E-A-D-F#-B, which is how Nile tunes their guitars. The F# isn't present in the 7 string version (A-E-A-D-G-B-E) because of semitones and the whole concept of a 7 string guitar. If you do tune your guitar down that low, consider getting a heavier set of strings (I use .58 - .13) for Drop A. Hope I helped out :)
