Hey Rich, - Like the new style, little more effort than shooting from the car dash! Re: content: From the product creation perspective, wouldn't it be important to your customers and JVs, as well as your reputation in the biz that your products were at least VERY GOOD? Where do you draw the line between quality and perfectionism?
Rich, great stuff. I wonder how many people can do this exercise as it requires someone to be very introspective and have a high state of self awareness. Most people cant get to this level by themselves. maybe some hypnosis would help:)
One solution might be for you to share some examples of answers to these 3 questions were for other people (anonymous of course) so people could consider if these apply to them and it might bridge the gap to awareness for them.
I like the new style and in fact was planning on doing nearly the same here in my home studio. playing with a cool portable greenscreen. i like the format though. concise yet not "light" with text bullet points for visual enunciation. Im going to test with shorter text bullets and occasionaly a drop in image or animated graph.
Thanks, Rich. You blind-sided me with this one, and I think you're right-on. I struggle with perfectionism in my work all the time, holding back on getting things done for fear that I've missed something.. I knew it wasn't logical but I can't keep from doing so. I'm going to have to look at this more. Now I know where to look though.. Thank you!
Hey Rich - I like the new style of video with the black background - it helps me focus on you and on the message. And yes, perfectionism has definitely been an issue for me as well. What do you think about companies like Apple though? While there products may not be perfect for some, it seems they may have some perfectionists of the team? Could you please clarify the difference between perfectionism and designing /creating the perfect product/campaign?
Right on Rich. this is not what I expected and it will take more thought and introspection that i would expect for a quick tip on friday. My initial reaction is to reject the concept that wanting something to be as good as it can be is because of the __ _ issue you suggest but as i try to frame the problem within that thought i see there may be some great insight to come from overcoming perfectionism by dealing with ___ ___ first ( I dont want my comment to be a spoiler for your vid)
thank you

Now that hit the nail on the head.
