Correction: Beethoven!! It's from his 9th Symphony - a part of it called Ode to Joy. The basic arraingment used here is by Charlie Hall. The IHOP musicians added "I've got the joy" part and another part they do in Part 2.

At any particular time of history, the genre of religious or "gospel" music has often mirrored that of the world at that particular time. The difference mostly, is in the lyrics. Like "worldly" music how a song is perceived depends on the condition of the person listening to it. I believe God can speak to a person through a  piece of music that you or I couldn't relate to. .

@tssenior2012 I think that's because this isn't "gospel" music. Its not Religious either... Its relational. It doesn't matter if its rock and roll, hip hop, or even rap; My love for Jesus allows me to transform the beat and rhythm into worship and praise. Yup! We all love Daddy :)
