@lowbutlow Twitch, along with Land Of Rape And Honey are two of my favorite Ministry records. I love that you can hear how their music is transitioning from With Sympathy into Land with this album.
Never heard this song from Ministry,ol skool but still sounds "badass".Not this new Industrial that's out at the clubs in the last 6-8 years that sounds alittle too much like Trance music from 1 of those mega Raves & singing lyrics sounding too robotic.
I love this song and I'm amazed that they actually used one of the remixes for the video instead of the album version. I've been listening to this song for 23 years without ever seeing the video until now. I have to be honest, they couldve done better ... my 80's drug-induced internal video was far superior to this one.
I have been looking for this video for 2 years (mostly late, mostly drunk) HURRAY!
Listening back on famous bands is top prority- insight into their progression, definitely a better appreciation for the style of music they made that got YOU listening.
@fr0ntl1n3 Arista releases bankrolled the stuff he wanted to do in subsequent years. Al claims he wanted to do a lot of the 'Twitch' material in '82, but the producers wanted to steer him in a more synth pop direction. If Al released 'Twitch' in '82, he would never have become a rock star, and he knows it. Hating his formative years is a major part of his identity.
This is clearly in England, that car has British plates and of course right hand drive, Al was over here in the late 80s working in London as an engineer (if I'm not mistaken) with OnU Sound, which is where he met all the Killing Joke guys.
@AdobeGillis It looks asthough most of the video was shot in england, the road outside the supermarket, the supermarket, the scrapyard (with english plates), and the kitchen scene all look very british to me.
this video has much better sound than the muffled farty versions on here. a classic that surprised me on tapes of wrath and started my almost magical journey into the brilliance al was achieving in his pre metal years. :) two thumbs up from me!

lyric sites write; "things are gonna go far, down a real big fast car" wtf???AARGH!!
such a good cheeky line too:
"o big cigar, go far,
diamond ring, big fast car"
(clear as day, god, he may be crazy, but he has a good command of the English language)

@EBMgr33c3 I always thought it was "drive a real big fast car"...

it's certainly in England because the video was directed by Peter Christopherson

@dylanbirkholz I'm gonna have to go and disagree with ya there Dylan. Twitch (the album) was on Sire records in 1985.
The evil label according to Al was Arista Records circa 1983 during With Sympathy...
