  • Big Nog tried this sit out in ufc 140. But Mir trapped Nog's right arm by placing his knee in nog's armpit stopping him from clearing it. Mir then locked up the Kimora grip on the isolated right arm. Very nice video.

  • @ppdodoboy And broke that shit

  • Franks a very big powerful guy, but he doesn't roll like one

    gr8

  • he kinda looks ronnie from jersey shore

  • let me say that i want to be your student 2:D

  • Lol, he looks like ronnie!! but cooler cause he can fight like a BOSS

  • wow super easy can i see that from a different angle haha

  • cool

  • I use this all the time and it works! Try it!

  • i tried it on my mma training yesterday IT WORKS VERY WELL, i let the guy pass, he's getting happy and then i suddenly have his back. its great

  • people thumbs up the vids, more chance of getting people to see them on the main youtube page.

  • This is an awesome move!

  • this wouldnt work if the guy is putting all his weight on you as he passes. one thing we'r taught in our gym is u always put your weight on your opponent, not giving him room to maneuver and do different escapes

  • @josh1212121 if you watch his arms on the last escape he has them inbetween him and his opponent to create space

  • @josh1212121 actually it does still work when your opponent puts his weight on you. In a lot of ways it might be better because as soon as u spin out his weight will drop straight to the mat. Giving u xtra secs to turn and stand up or to pull guard which both would be better than your opponent passing you half guard.

  • genius!!! just genius!

  • great stuff! but I guess that wouldn't work too well with Gi on? I'll give it a go tonight. Thanks Vmuch!

  • Cool!

  • @DanielSel Good job in cutting into someone else's conversation that you don't even know how it started, then acting like a complete jackass and thinking you know shit, then telling the person to stfu. Grats on your ignorance. Now stfu and go troll some other video you stupid piece of shit.

  • Thas wassup

  • Sonnen? The guy who failed a drugs test....

  • @ThatBingleGuy You do notice that any of the medication he was taking the week earlier because he was sick could have triggered a false positive. You also know that it was stated that the substance was not an anabolic steroid right? I highly doubt some otc medication is what made him so performant in that fight that Silva had no defense for it until the end of the 5th round.

  • @SunDownPoint A sample from Sonnen's August 6 drug test came back with a high T/E (testosterone-to-estrogen) level, which is indicative of anaboloic steroid use. If his A and B samples both came back like that, no matter what "medication" he was taking would not cause the levels of T/E, which apparently was 4:1, to show. You don't get 4:1 by being more manly than the average man or by taking cough medicine

  • @ThatBingleGuy There are ALOT of things that can offset the sex hormone ratio. Many meds can lower your estrogen levels, and with the professional level of training, nutrition and supplements he uses I do not doubt his test levels are already high. By the way almost all the new test boosters now have AI (Aromatase Inhibitors) and Anti-estrogens in them, if he was taking powerful test boosters and not to mention meds that could lower estrogen further, it is not impossible.

  • cant wait to try this out

  • Great escape...

    Like

  • i love this, very simple yet very effective, thanks a lot

  • this is awesome. bottom line. 2 people are idiots.

  • awesome

  • the only thing is its really hard to get it if the pass that they're doing is very technical. If they take the time to use the knee to pin the leg and then pass, this is very hard to do.

  • How cool is that ? Wow, and Mir sharing his awesome techniques, thank you !

  • wow im going to practice this....lol

  • Great!

  • Talk about slick haha...

  • I liked this vide very much. In fact this is one of my favorites.

  • hmmmm.... this technique didnt seem to work to well agaisnt Brock!! ahhh low blow? Just trying to have some fun.

  • Fantastic this ghos when loose the lockdow!!!

  • That is freaking awsome.

  • I never would have known if it weren't for these videos but I really love the way Frank thinks!

  • So easy and yet my mind is blown

  • Lol! This move is awesome! Yet so easy :P

  • @SofbGgatb11e How can you say no disrespect when you just called him a sadist. Directly or indirectly

  • Lol that's hilarious

  • Lol. I'm pretty sure a lot of us are a little sadist. It takes a sadist mind to sit down and think of ways to choke someone until they tap or pass out. haha. I'm loving Frank Mirs videos. He knows what hes talking about. It would be nice if 10th planet would start a gym in the south. *coughcough*southcarolina*coughcough*

  • great move

  • cool

  • that's the only escape from the scarf hold I've ever been shown in SAMBO and it works 80% of the time

  • That was Slick!

  • Good luck to Mir against Cro Cop on september 25!

  • I've been loving these videos with Frank because he really is the thinking man's fighter. I recently saw his fight against Brock Lesner at UFC 100 and the impression I got of Brock is that he's an ignorant red-neck who genuinely enjoys hurting people, just a pure, unadulterated sadist. Wondering if Frank could comment on that.

  • @HeBreaksLate

Brock is an asshole. But he's still arguably the best heavyweight in the world. And he's a great wrestler. You may not respect him, but you have to respect his abilities.

  • @mmafan400 What bothers me is more his lack of respect for his opponents and for the sport. It doesn't seem like he's entering the ring to win a contest, but rather to inflict as much damage to the other person as possible. He may have talent, but he turns the sweet science into nothing better than a dog fight.

  • @HeBreaksLate

Ehh, I think he's an asshole, but how many fighters do you see that come in saying, "when i enter the ring, it's a war, i just want to inflict as much damage as possible"? It's a lot, just he's more of an icon. But yes, I think he is an incredible asshole. Though I respect his fighting, he doesn't do cheap shots or anything illegal, and he's good at what he does. As a martial artist I could not respect him, but I can for his talent as a fighter.

  • @mmafan400 I'm not even talking about the pre-fight smack talk. That's to be expected. What bothered be was how Brock refused to shake hands before or after the match and refused to touch gloves at the start of rounds. Those two things are part of the sport as a reminder to the competitors that this is an athletic contest not a brawl.

  • @HeBreaksLate

yeah, I agree. I mean at least shake after. It really shouldn't be a brawl, and fighters like brock are a problem in that respect. You wonder why it's not legal in every state...

  • @mmafan400 ? ???? ? wait what? brock lesnar? 0 striking, 0 grappling = best heavyweight in the world? ??? soo, what else did dana white say? hmmmm? Lesnar sure showed his excellent striking abilities against carwin in his last fight HAHAHAHAHAHA. "arguably the best heavyweight in the world". "you have to respect his abilities", seriously....i can't stop laughing, i think its the only comment i'm actually laughing out loud to when watching this sort of vids. Start stand up comedy dude.

  • @Gourizzo He has better grappling than Mir. But thats cos everyone does. Frank can't escape from his back against smaller men like Ian Freeman and Brandon Vera- he was the perfect opponent to lose to Brock.

  • @Gourizzo

Brock is UFC Heavy Weight Champion, therefore he is the best-est.

  • @Gourizzo

He's only lost once, by a leg lock when it was one of his earliest fights, and he still dominated it. 0 grappling? Depends on what you consider grappling. If we're only talking submissions, fine, not much submission skills. However he submitted carwin, though i'll give you carwin was half asleep already. But he was an All american wrestler, and dominates the ground. And like any wrestler, he strikes to take to the ground, plenty of people do that. He has the belt, he's the best.

  • @HeBreaksLate well u got a bad impression of Brock. Brock had a grievance against Frank because in their first fight Brock was dominating until Frank caught him in an ankle lock. Brock's actually pretty humble. especially after his recent health scare

  • @DBZmegafan99 Kneebar!

  • @SuperEzekial19 what?

  • @DBZmegafan99 Mir tapped brock with a kneebar not ankle lock

  • @DBZmegafan99 Kneebar*

  • @Scouserrrr08 what?

  • @DBZmegafan99 Not a ankle lock, different

  • @Scouserrrr08 y'all were right. My bad. Kneebar

  • @DBZmegafan99 Please give me a few examples of Brock being humble please, because I can show you about 15 episodes of him not being humble. I'm just sayin.

  • its so funny how much bigger he is

  • This video is sweet. Can you guys go more into detail though?

  • great!

  • Sweeeet!

  • nice keep up the good work!

  • enjoy

  • @Submissions101 i enjoyed

  • @Submissions101 wonderful!!!!

  • @Submissions101 i intend to.

  • @Submissions101 He can go straight into Ude garami from that escape & then knee to the face.

Will Submissions 101 please show some escapes from common normal strangles on the side - since for self-defense that is what most people or a boxer would use to strangle.

    All the best

    David
