The beta of this game is so drastically different from the released game, just like the beta for Left 4 Dead. They should have kept some of the aspects of the beta in the final game, like how the hunters looked. But some changes were actually good, like how they changed how much the camera shook, or Alex Mercers claw ability. I just hope the Prototype 2 stays like the beta ........ unlike this game.

Man, the game looked so different back then. Extremely different from the final version. From the graphics to the consuming method to the music and character designs. But some things survived like Alex's hoodie (even if they inverted the colors), the shield and Groundspike. I like the way Prototype 2 looks so far, however. So I Hope they won't change it for the final game. At least not too much.

To those confused, as of June 13, 2011 only 1 prototype game has been made This is just Alex'a first incarnation, so the producers have considerably changed alex to the way he is now. I heard they changed him from white to black because he looked to much like Altair (see assassin's creed) in his white clothes.

@Archangel11100 That trailer's from the original build. Near as I can tell, the designers switched publishers from Sierra to Activision and spent about a year redoing the textures and the abilities. You can still mod the game to give Alex those clothes.

They should make a sequel with the ability to dual wield and combine powers, such as dual wielding blades, claw on one arm and whip on the other, or hammer-fist on one arm and blade onn the other. Also driving civilian cars despite the fact that you can practically fly on your own.
