It also would have broken the sound barrier and we would have been able to hear a sonic boom. These calculations are all likely to be a fair bit off. If it can scrunch up its rear end like a caterpilar (1 frame shortly before leaving tower), and accelerate at 100's of g's, maybe it is doing something exotic enough to cause sound ahead of its motion, and to cancel out sonic boom. Maybe warping space around itself instead of pushing air away.

jarlath@live.ie my boss has a helicopter in ireland and anytime i travelled with him you had to wear a headset because you could not talk to each other............this video is too quiet to be in a chopper

@lonstar70 yeah, this was before 9/11. Happens was a scifi program. I think this clip was made just for promo use. In anycase the program was nolonger onair when 9/11 happened, nor any direct links to this video/happens page on scifi's website. However it was still on the sever for a year or so after 9/11, so people who remembered it could still visit scifi/happens and watch this video. After 9-11 of course people downloaded the video, and tried to spread it as some real 9-11 warning video.

if real & therefore unexpected by the people in the helicopter, how did the camera man know exactly where to very quickly move his camera to precisely capture the ufo suddenly blasting upward into the sky? this stuck out in my mind as suspect when i first saw it without knowing about its being a computer generated hoax for a sci-fi commercial. goes to show you really can't trust 100% in ufo videos & pictures in this new age of computers. a ufo video, to be good, needs additional corroboration.

the thing is this isn't fake my sub teacher told me and showed me this video at my school library he used to work for the government and make spy planes for them. and he showe me this video he told me it wasnt fake and it is the governments ufo they have produced in 2001 which has a base speed at 11 thousand miles per hour and he told me that they wernt meant to scare people it was meant to see how they react
