Well, this boy appears to have potential, but still needs to go a long way. He does get Kamboji mixed up at times with Shankarabharanam, Harikamboji, etc. His voice is weak, and voice training exercises could help. Sure he's young, but he's not ready to sing solo. The same for the violinist. Going public before you are ready can affect you adversely. At this stage, it is okay for these boys to perform on stage together with their gurus, but not by themselves. Best wishes to all these kids.

you're just joking right? The reason why he does not have voice clarity at this point is because his voice is breaking from youth. And there have been many famed carnatic singers who sang ragams ambiguously, let alone a 12 year old kid! The reality is that this kid is way beyond his years in terms of musical aptitude, your comments not withstanding.
