No. Kaoru tell's Haruhi that he does like her but Hikaru is more important to him. He then goes back to Hikaru who saw the whole thing and is very angry. He say's he is stepping aside so he can have a shot with Haruhi saying that she rejected him. Hikaru realises his brother's actions and they go home. Kaoru thinks that he is in the way of Hikaru gaining his independance and trys to seperate himself.. Hikaru dyes his hair and say's they need to support each other bc thats why twin's r born.etc.

I think the twin girls wouldn't be interesting unless they were the complete opposite of the Hitachiin brothers, like they were complete opposites of each other, and they didn't get along very well, so maybe the brothers step in and try to resolve their relationship. And each brother should fall for the girl for who she is, not as a package deal. Just throwing that out, do what you want. ^-^
