  • I actually like the idea of courses that only have one way to go with three sections that count as laps. It makes it seem more real!

  • The only bad thing about this song...is....

HOW ARE THEY GONNA TOP IT?! DDDD': It's so amazing! And including the theme of the original tune within this song! Epic to the....infinite level!

  • 28 people never played Mario Kart 64

  • I was like "meh" until 1:09

Then I was like O_O "this is amazing"

  • the music is beautiful! <3

  • when i first heard this song i thought it was ok

    then 1:10 OMG

  • Something whites dripping down my pants...

  • SO MUCH NOSTALGIA IN THIS GAME OMG.

The coins from the first Mario Kart.

The Rainbow Road theme from Mario Kart 64

    All the retro courses.

The characters, OHMYGOD I'M A CHILD AGAIN!

  • Personally my favourite rainbow road theme of the lot.

  • 1:10 YEAAAA!!!! Mario kart 64! FTW!! Also this bit of music is on world 9 of New Super Mario Bros Wii!!!!!

  • 1:10 HELL YAAAAAAAAAAAA

  • I like this soundtrack, but i preffer the GCN rainbow road sound-

  • 28 people kept falling off the road.

  • This track should last 3 LAPS, NO SECTIONS!

  • this remix is so amazing, like, I can't... it just slays

  • This song...

    <3

  • I raped the replay button and the 0 key

  • this made chuck norris cry too

  • The course is too short to enjoy this song fully. D=

  • Best track in mario kart history. ADMIT IT.

  • @Krati08071995 I would have said the best track EVER was Moonview Highway from wii...but if music counts too, then It's this.

  • @Krati08071995 OBJECTION! MK64 Rainbow Road Forever! Though none of the later Rainbow Roads have never failed to please me.

  • its a mix of the all rainbow road and its one of the best

  • 1:10 :')

  • 0:07 that noise <3

  • 1:10 HELL YAAAAA

  • sounds kinda like the credits to mk64

  • @mrJalisco70 no it's mario kart 64 rainbow road.

  • @NinMeechio well i know that i meant the beginning i shoulda said that first :)

  • A great song, and not simply because of the MK64 remix. Same thing goes for Neo Bowser City's song.

  • Fuck everything. My eyes watered when it reached 1:10.

  • Try doing a mash-up with the Moon variant of the Rainbow Road music, it sounds even more awesome!

  • It's good, but I still prefer the N64.

  • Nice! All amped up 2012 style. Still, the 1996 version is the best.

  • This song kinda reminds me of Mario Tennis. I have no idea why.

  • The reason everyone likes this and Neo Bowser City is because Nintendo brought back memories from their childhood playing the N64 -tear-

  • celle de la version wii etais vraiment bof mais celle ci wouawe on retrouve la magie d'avant

  • This map is kind of glitchy... there is like 4 shortcuts you can do that are kind of cheap... and i use 2 of them XD

  • This could have been terrible and the worst song in the game but people would just love it and cherish it because of the MK64 remix at 1:10. Wow.

  • @Wiintendoh if it was terrible I guarantee people'd be saying things more on the lines of "HOW DARE THEY DISGRACE MK64" actually~

  • @RayAndFlare No, because 99% of the people here like this song simply for nostalgia, nothing else.

  • @Wiintendoh I never played 64 and I like this. What now

  • @RayAndFlare Did you not see "99%"?

Furthermore, that was an exaggeration. You also said you never play 64, but that doesn't mean that you never heard the original thing. What now

  • @Wiintendoh in all my years of internetting I've never gotten into a debate quite as pointless as this one. that now. :V

  • @RayAndFlare Where you been, son?

  • @RayAndFlare Internet debates are by definition pointless. Welcome to the web.

  • @Wiintendoh Or, it could be that maybe, just maybe they might, stay with me now, actually think this a good and mellow song. And just possibly, now this is key, they may enjoy it for what it is.

Stop being so damn cynical all the time internet, God.

  • @SkaiCyan Sorry, but God and the internet are trolling pointles debates in another castle.

  • @finalformsonic ...What? Are you saying I was trolling? Genuinely confused here.

  • @SkaiCyan

    A. I was making a Mario related jokef about the internet and God (Because you said God)

    B. ...There is no B.

  • @finalformsonic Oh duh! I totally missed it! I feel so lame now. Imma go sulk in a corner, lol.

  • @SkaiCyan cool story bro

  • @Wiintendoh I'd like to think so.

  • @SkaiCyan You think that your statements were something that went nowhere and where completely and utterly uninteresting?

  • @Wiintendoh I was obviously taking your words at face value and intentionally ignoring the internet meme.

  • @SkaiCyan Well there's no need to be such a jerk. >_>

  • @Wiintendoh I came because I like hearing good music. I enjoyed the nostalgia, but my mission was to find something catchy to listen to today, and this diditfertoday. Though, you did say it was an exaggeration. How much of it being an exaggeration I am not sure.

  • @ULTIMADONUT What?

  • @Wiintendoh ...Eh, don't worry about it.

  • @ULTIMADONUT wiggidy what?

  • I didn't play in the N64 (Im a kid), but the song still makes me cry

  • Even though I have never played N64 1:10 will always be my fav part.

  • Y'know when I heard 1:10... I cried.

  • This series will last forever. But thats the problem. what happens when they get to 63?

  • @Cannonbolt70 SUPER MARIO 64x64!

  • (continued)

    To be a kid again!

    Mario Kart Sixty Fo-ur!

    How much do I

    Miss playing you?

    You were so fun,

    Oh no nostal-gia!

    Mar-io Kart, Mar-io Kart...

  • Rain bow Road (Rainbow Road, Rainbow Road, Rainbow Road) Yeaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh Back in the ye-ar of '92, Mario Kart made its de-but. It brought smiles, and tears of frustra-tion, But most of all, it brought a legend, That defined my child-hood. But there was one track that stood from the rest. It was hard, that is for sure. But my god, it just was so beautiful, And now I want, nothing else but, to be a kid again. The Rainbow Road! That's where I'll go!
  • awesome!

  • I'm playing this on December 21 2012

  • Comment removed

  • Never played this game, I judge it by it's ost, I really wanna get it now after I heard this song! :D

  • 1:10 WAAA!!! RAINBOW ROAD 64!!!! T_______T

  • OMG IM CRYING!!! 1:10 FOR NOSTALGIA + MEMORIES GUISE!!! THUMBS UP IF YOU REMEMBER DA OLD DAYSS!!!!!!1 <33333

  • Brings back Nintendo64 Memories. I cry in my pillow now.

  • I almost cried to this as I was driving this course.

  • 1080p - for the highest-quality MK7 logo experience!

  • Someday we'll look back on this and remember it....so appreciate it! :D

  • My siblings are annoyed of how I play Rainbow Road on the 3DS with loud music...after hearing this, they'll know why ^-^

  • This song is every reason Nintendo > Sony/Microsoft/CoD/Halo

  • They need a Rainbow Road like level in a mainstream Mario game and I'd be happy.

  • @twilightzoney Play Super Mario Galaxy 2 and you'll find one.

  • @Wylldenick I have, just isn't what I exactly want from it.

  • Oh great I just had this song full blast with headphones on and I can actually hear a low pitched ring sound in my ear, no I am actually really serious.

  • i wish this song was a real human girl so ic an marry her.......does tht sound wierd??? bc to me this is one of the best songs ever for the mariokart serries! agree? thx answer me back plz gilva and anybody else

  • Mario Kart 64 is proud right now.

  • This made Rainbow Road 20% more cooler

  • @bewoulf2000 I see what you did there /)^3^(\

  • @Kippenger lol XD

  • Kenta Nagata's songs have the ability to stick in that part of your brain where childhood memories are stored. It doesn't matter if its a recent song, it will always cause nostalgiagasm.

  • Rainbow Party!

  • N64 Rainbow Road for Retro Track in Mario Kart Wii U, i said :)

  • @fireXdisaster Actually your prbably right. The odds are that retro Rainbow Roads will be introduced, just as in MK7. HOPEFULLY :)

  • (part 2) Just take my hand and as we go; try not to feel wallowed. On this; magical road called; the Rainbow, the Rainbow Road!

  • Come with me I know this place that's always new! With all our skills I know we'll make it through!

    As you know; this adventure ever grown; As you know all the hardships; that are ever known!;

    With a place so beautiful one's never blue; you'll soon find out that this is always true!;

    Can't you see; how happy as can be; As you know this place;is just for you and me!;

    Reach out and try to catch a star; even though it's very far.; Just remember who you are.;

  • So beautiful

  • I really like this Rainbow Road, sure it's not nostalgic, but I don't care too much about nostalgic. Sure I love all the old ones, but I'm loving the new ones too, besides if they never made any new games we would get bored out of our minds and the old games wouldn't be classic or nostalgic. This Rainbow Road is beautiful, but way too short, wish they let you do all 3 laps instead of just sections.

  • This track is sooo awesome, but why can I only go around it once???

  • Hmm. This is what the CGN song should have been.

  • 1:10 orgasm!

  • @fmthebaron Or, 'Eargasm' :)

  • @fmthebaron UGH I TRIED TO THUMBS YOU UP MORE THEN 20,000 TIMES UGH!!!! YESSSS SO ORGASMIC!!!

  • Just like N64-awsome.It actually sounds like a remix of MK64 RR in some parts.

  • 1:10

That's why Nintendo > Sony & Microsoft. I have a PS3, too and im interested to Vita, but Sony will never (!) reach Nintendo.

  • @oojope True, so true.

  • @kamilchlodnicki Yup, and this version is about 20% cooler than all other versions.

  • Bring back Waluigi, you bastards!

  • @GoldLightah Lol I SOOO agree..

  • I'm not going to lie, this music is beautiful. Especially at 1:10, I started crying.

  • THIS TRACK NEEDS GOD DAMNED 3 LAPS !!! GREAT SONG !!!

  • GilvaSunner, you have everything i need to listen to.

  • omg n64!!!! love it. i got tears at some point because i remember the childhood me staring at the tv with an evil smile. yes...rainbow road...the beautiful heaven road....

  • I know about N64, but this MK7 song I'll never forget too :)

  • I hope all games i play will be as good as this...

so i can have a great time looking back at my childhood :')

  • 1:10 = instant chills and tears :'-)

  • Part of this seems to be directly from the Double Dash and N64 rainbow roads.

  • which is better: this or n64 rainbow road? i don't know! they are both great!

  • The guys in the nintendo music department are absolute geniuses, they make the most memorable music ever.

  • Also, the childhood memory gave me a good flashback: My brother, cousin and I playing the N64 on Rainbow Road. I got the goosebumps at the part like 1:10. I get the same feeling on Mario Kart 7 as well. I never knew such an amazing composer!!!

  • Man. *sniff* Reminds me of N64 Rainbow Road. Childhood memories that I still have.

  • @ turtwig321 Excuse my typo's, sorry. :< I meant Can, Not can't.

    Hope this clears it up.

  • I have an N64 but I didnt use it for a very long time. This just made me come back to it. That 1 part at 1:10 can do so much :)

  • I never had a N64. I like this rainbow's road music because it's similar to the GC version. :)

  • Goosebumps and tears every time I hear this song! ;-;

    My childhood...man I missed you...

  • When I started to cry, I knew I had the race in the bag.

  • my friend beats me in evey single mario kart course and game...

except for this game, because the memories and fun of the n64 gives me the power to win and destroy every obstacle, rainbow road, mario kart, nintendo

    Thank you

  • este es uno de los mejores rainbow road de mario karts

  • I almost soiled my pants when I heard 1:10, In which I remember me and my dad, sitting in front of the TV with his old N64, racing eachother on Mario Kart 64, I loved it

  • First time playing mk7 rainbow road: "Wow this music is amazing, now if only i could hear the call of my childhood again."

By 1:00 I was like, oh well, mabye next rainbow road...

1:10 came along and i was like "No, it can't be...OH MY F**KING GOD...IT IS"

"I'm not going to cry..." Pause the game "Memories...Sweet Memories"

  • @MrSuperleobros nostalgia is a powerful thing is all I got to say, me, I wasn't quite moved by nostalgia as I never had MK64, but I was moved by the composition of the music itself. I love the haunting ambiance and driving beat, the hook from the N64 Rainbow Road was the icing on the cake though, the execution here was magnificant, total money as Guy Fieri puts it, especially when said hook soars to it's wonderful climax. It has replaced the SNES RR as my all time favorite.

  • aw.. SWEET

  • Ah, been so long since the N64 RR got a remix...

  • This music is great, but whats with the crying and nosigila

  • @taylorover9001 the hook from 1:10 onward is what does it for most. It brings them back to when they played the N64 Mario Kart for the first time all those years ago. I actually listened to both versions recently myself, and I was actually moved by this version, so much so it replaced the MK SNES Rainbow Road theme as my all time favorite, the composition is simply beautiful. I recall as soon as I heard it on here, I knew I had to get the game for myself.

  • My favourite MK7 song, alongside DK Jungle

  • This is great along with the Final Section part

  • I wonder how many people misread the titles and say "Oooh I wanna see Mario Kart 7! Damn it's only music"

  • @TheAnimalForest In my opinion, music like this is god-like compared to racing :D

  • I can't say a Mario Kart game was better than another. The first one was the starter and set up. the second one just felt alive, the third had so much effort in it you couldn't hate it, double dash added something new to the mix and had some insane levels. The ds had the missions and a brilliant ending tune, the wii had good a control scheme and Mario Kart 7, Giving you so many beautiful flashbacks. LONG LIVE MARIO KART

  • Whatever. I just can't imagine what you felt and I must admit it. First time I played Mario Kart 64 was in 2007 thanks to Wii's VC. But, you know, looping back in time 5 years is still an awesome present.

  • Everyone, choose Rainbow Road so we can relive our childhood together.

  • I could listen to Rainbow Road music all day...

  • i dont know what it feels like to grow up playing mario cart 64 or mario 64 and when i hear 1:10 all i can think about is you guys commenting on how good they were and i feel like im missing out on a lot and i wont let my kids when miss out on it to so im going to show them all the classic games when im older and im sorry for being all corny and all but i am kinda sad hope you did"nt find a waste of time

  • When I got to 1:10, I got to relive my early 20's...

... You people are so young T^T

  • MKW IS BEST!

    inb4 successful troll is succsessful

  • anyone else noticed that the higher notes in the beginning are playing the underlying melody from MK64 credits theme (only much faster)... :'D

  • F-Zero X version is still my favourite :)

  • Comment removed

  • i miss my n64 :(

  • thumbs up if your n64 brought u here

  • I feel left out because I didn't have the N64... TT___TT

  • Mario kart games are just so fun.... that' no one can't say " I don't enjoy them."

  • @moppey3 that means they can not enjoy them

  • Comment removed

  • Why do i seem to be crying, so many childhood memories flashing before my eyes, it is beautiful

  • @XxSaiyan333xX Getting runned over by that chain chomp all the time, good times... :'( I miss my N64

  • @awesomedan79 Tht was half the fun of it trying to figure out when tht sneaky bugger was coming up

  • @XxSaiyan333xX indeed this composition is hauntingly beautiful, it has actually replaced the SNES Rainbow Road music as my all-time favorite Rainbow Road music. Yes I heard the N64 version so I recognized that hook, said hook was just amazingly executed in this arrangement so much so that it tops the N64 version. This is easily the best Rainbow Road music to date.

  • Nostalgic attack ;_;

    good bye, childhood... T_T

  • @drakemanification Never say goodbye to your childhood! Ever!

I have my N64 working to this day! And I will keep that until the day I die!

  • @GmaerXQ ;(

I know! i'll go find my N64 again and mario kart 8D

  • i love this rainbow road

  • I played this level, thinking "Oh this looks awesome! I hope I win :D"

    Then I got to 1:10……

And suddenly I was back to my child-self, sitting infront of the tiny TV, the N64 controller in my hand.

I won that race, but I knew that wasn't all I'd won.

I'd won a second glance at my childhood…

    It was beautiful.

  • @GmaerXQ

Don't you ever forget. Your childhood will always be your fondest memories. (IMO anyways)

  • @GmaerXQ SNES Mario Kart's rainbow road music is much more special.

  • @greatpowered actually, this Rainbow Road music successfully knocked the SNES Rainbow Road music out of the #1 position as my all time favorite Rainbow Road song from the series and that's saying something. As brilliant as the SNES version was, MK7's version is moving and powerful. It helps that the course itself kicks some serious ass too.
