  • it is clear.... we need riots... global up-rise Dec 21 2012

  • what has the world come to

  • I'd jump on the cops

  • @AceDestinty I'd knock the fuck out of you

  • police are NOTHING but COWARDS what got bullied at school so they become cops and get drunk on the power they never had when they were getting beat

  • I hate to take sides without knowing the whole story, but I feel for the police. As a protester you can't throw your hands in the air and play innocent, then still push forward with your body, and I saw this a lot of of them. The police are clearly asking you (and pushing you) to back up and you put your hands up yet still push back with your body.... They are egging it on... It has to be scary being a cop and knowing you're so outnumbered...

  • all the police are doing here is fueling the fire. It is quite obvious the crowd can take the police at any given moment and for that matter the police should show respect to the protestors that are protecting there children's future.

  • person who made this video, watch it again

  • Thats a scary video, they look out #. I would be thinking what if the crowd started retaliating back? I dont understand why the police dont realize this for their own safety? The only solution is peace, why doesn't everyone understand this? I would quit my job and either join the peace or go home to my family.

I wanted to be a police officer but not now, its suicide. The police are trying to solve something, but it actually looks like their stirring it up and making it worse.

    Peace n Love!

  • Sheep vs Cattle

  • That is why I never tried to be a cop.cops are fucking bitches,no matter what they will bite if they been told to.

  • @GoComando2 they will bite if they get attacked, just like everyone else. them fucking cops stop paedo's, rapists, murderers and rioters who damage property and cost the taxpayers a shit ton

  • Once more into the breach dear friends

  • Embarissing... for everyone, Both sides. Embarissing for Canada.

  • Ego causes good men to stand and take bad actions. We need to put our egos aside and talk like humans. We all have children and want the best for them and their futures. That is why we cannot behave like this.

  • I would seem more like someone sitting on a Bench on a sunny day, admireing the Clouds and the blue sky.... Peace is just like that... Unity needs no Gimics or Directions of Approval,

  • The society we live in seem more confused than knowing, The Police are just like anyone else that gets consumed by the Chaos..... Suits or not, Human Nature seems to be full of violence, whether the aggression is shown through a Loud Voice of with Physical Abuse.... The Best Recation in a Protest Is NO reaction... A Peacful Protest needs no Voices, Just Silence.... To Be There without saying a world or sending out any messeage...

  • You people make me sick crying because the police got violent with you, they only got violent because you chose to not listen to direct commands to move back.

  • @pabs31 There is a good reason for those people to want to move forward. Keep siding with big brother ya prick.

  • this reminds me of a farScape qoute.

"My Side! Your Side! My Side!! Your Side!!"

  • Lol idiots. Its like punching someone in the face and yelling 'this isnt going to hurt! this isnt going to hurt!"

Just because your yelling 'this is not a riot", doesnt mean your immune from taking a batten to the face.....

  • they should have shouted "this is a place of peace". if you dont want a riot, dont say the word riot!!! say what you want, not what you dont want. come on people

  • the protesters get what they desever the police are the law do not obay them and their is a price to be paid

  • @ozythegreat how ignorant could you be, so you will do what ever the police tell you to then?

  • @ozythegreat They are free to protest, dude.

  • @Raapzaad what are they protesting... the police left all the real protesters alone, I see no picket signs in the vid.. all these people want to do is cause shit, the real protesters are protesting what some of the leaders have done who are coming here. Again I ask what are these people in this video protesting... Protesting for freedom to protest..... lol......

  • @Baseshocks Actually, it was the opposite. Most of the people arrested were far away from the vandals, and the police were ignoring them. You don't wonder why the police left their cruisers for so long while people smashed and burnt them? They were blocks away arrested people like Nobody in the area designated for protests.

  • @MrMobyprick they were ordered to pull back. The next day regular folk were pissed so they fought back. P.S when you have 10 or so people rioting and 100 or so cheering them on police do not react unless they have equal or higher numbers in fear of their own lives. One cop on the ground arresting someone its easy for someone else to swing a bat at that cops head, he/she would sometimes need 10-20 other officers protecting them while they make the arrest. continued.

  • @Baseshocks No, you misunderstood what I was saying. The police were arresting protesters, who weren't breaking the law, blocks away from where the people were rioting. For no reason.

They let the vandals riot, it might have something to do with the RCMP planning it.

Search on Google for 'RCMP infiltrate' and you'll find a story on the CBC site that verifies that they planned and participated in the riot. I'd post the link but apparently I can't.

  • @MrMobyprick k ill check it out.

  • @MrMobyprick you can not blame the street cops for that too, they are ordered and positioned by the higher ups, the police chief and his staff. Its like moving a military unit, you do not want to send 25 cops to an area where they can get encircled, you must move other units too.

  • The police might be more inclined to believe the "This is not a riot" sentiments if the people would stop yelling "FORWARD!!" while trying to run over them over. Just saying..

  • @americaHUMVEES then you are a public enemy

who started the riot? look at the people dressed for one..

    012

  • @digitalmyth333 by your logic if i'm a public enemy then you're a whiny subversive who has problems with authority. you need to realize that police at large gatherings such as protests have laws to uphold and order to maintain. They have boundaries for where people can and can't be. Occupy wall street, for example. NYPD is keeping people out of the street as per law, making them go on the sidewalk. and that's somehow a violation of free speech or a form of brutality? People need to grow up.

  • I can see it one day... There WILL be a riot, the police WILL attack, the people WILL stand together and the police WILL lose. I'ts only a matter of time..

  • @IDannB lol that happens all the time.. in the arab countrys police allways runs away from crowd.... thats because they have balls... but we will have balls too.. one day.

  • Crowd "This is not a riot

    -rioting begins-

Police "this is not a beat down!"

  • I think protesters are faggots

  • Were the cops chanting "and this is not brutality!"?

  • The police didn't "attack". They simply bushed them back

  • And There's a HUGE difference between a peaceful protest and a riot! This was a peaceful protest. After all, had it actually _been_ a riot, those cops would've been FUCKED when they were so completely surrounded by such a large crowd! They would've had no way to escape nor any way to fight back the line...really effective tactics. Of I'm even in this situation, I'll remember that. Lol

  • From there, they essentially TRAPPED the cops (who're honestly MORONS for falling for that) in the middle of the crowd and just stood there. Peacefully. FINALLY proving to those idiot Police that it was, in fact, a demonstration, and that riot police were WHOLLY unnecessary and even inappropriate!

  • It was the PROTESTORS that pushed back to try and hold their ground out of self-defense, but then the crowd realized that was going nowhere, threw up their hands in unison (the "I surrender" gesture), stopped resisting, and allowed the people in the middle to give way and move to the sides, so that the police would keep pushing further into the crowd, all the while the crowd started to surround them like an amoeba.

  • Guys, it's absolutely clear from this vid that this was a peaceful demonstration that was nearly provoked into a riot BY the cops. A person below said the police were just "pushing back." Well, the tape reveals something TOTALLY different, now doesn't? The TAPE shows the protectors standing peacefully clear of the police, and then said POLICE started to advance and try to push the protesters down the road.

  • also from what I see is peaceful protester could wear some padding and either rugby soft helmet or bicycle hemets and foot ball shin guards and groin cups as protection against club and stick stricks

  • from what I see

laser pen lights in the eyes

    Burning arrows

    trip wire

    sound canon

would all be excellent weapons against riot police.

  • r they chanting please don't cry?

  • that's the problem with bullies being cowards.

Fill the ranks of the riot police with twats who like bashing women & students....

When a few hundred naughty kids start kicking off and wrecking the capital they shit themselves and the looting & wrecking carries on unchecked

  • ahhhhh fucking shit up..... isn't it fun to watch

  • DONT FUCK WITH RIOT POLICE

  • All protesters should show up with firearms. Cops would be severely outnumbered and would not make a move.

  • fire the first volley of cocktails at this point to stop their attack.i believe in what mlk was saying but at some point you have to turn into malcom x just to survive.

  • That looks like it was full of lulz

  • The crowd was pushing against the police line ... the police pushed back. That's generally what happens, and hardly deserving of the word "attack".

  • Notice, Brothers and Sisters from around the world, that majority of the time, it's the Police causing the riots?

  • Comment removed

  • this is utterly stupid, it is just like shooting someone whilst chanting 'i'm not shooting you' !!!??!?!?!?!?! these protetors have no brain

  • Just because your chanting "this is not a riot" doesn't mean it isnt a riot.... I'm no weather man though. If you push the police line back don't start complaining when they charge.

  • Just because your chanting "this is not a riot" doesn't mean it isnt a riot.... I'm no weather man though.

  • I've said this on other videos and I'll say it again - the police are shit at crowd control. Time and again, I see cops using overhand strikes to the head, blading with shields and generally poor or illegal tactics. Also, the command element lacks any sort of cohesive control, kettling or pushing crowds into dead ends, which results in injuries to officers and the public. I'd like to point out that any officer without any visible ID is up to no good and should be diciplined.

  • @Tails9429 the thing is it isn't illegal anymore.

  • wow they even have the round shileds like the spartan -- reminds me of the movie 300

  • lol they sure look like a riot to e pushin into the cops ya thats a riot dumbass

  • they should've yelled, "THIS IS A RIOT! THIS IS A RIOT!"

  • @MrFokfees shush.

  • @ManderMurduh Make him

  • filth

  • I'd like to say a big hello to the constables present in this comment section defending the actions of the police. Cuntstables, rather. I work in crowd control and if I did the kind of shit a lot of these police officers do I'd be in jail. But then I wouldn't be privy to the old system of my actions being 'investigated fully' before I'm 'cleared of any wrongdoing,' like the police do. They can straight up kill a man and get away with it these days. Welcome to the future. We were all warned

  • all i see is a bunch of idiots yelling this is not a riot while the police try to get them behind a certain perimeter and disperse them. if they complied no one would have been injured - also, they yell it's not a riot but you can see them kicking and hitting the cops.. irony?

  • Lots of posts from police officers here...

  • It should be patently obvious to any protester by now that if you spit on and scorn the police, you will get a nice fucking beating with a baton.

  • Awww did I upset you because your protestor friends were acting like children and they got a spanking? pooor Wittttleeee baaayyybyyyyy

  • they can say this is not a riot all they want it doesn't mean anything why are they shoving the police what did they think would happen if they felt they had the upper hand?

  • @alaskablows shut up, thicko

  • @tommyslf wow name calling, call me a poopie head next that will accomplish much.

  • @alaskablowsyou"re a poopie head!

  • lol american pussys !!! COME TO EUROPE ! BETTER EAST EUROPE AND TRY WITH THAT ''SMART WORDS'' YOU GET ALL ASS FUCKED IN JAIL BY GAY COPS!

  • Watch the video closely. There are people of all age ranges here, old and young. Middle aged men and women who are upset with their government officials and the corruption, of which, they must feel helpless against solving. Many of you think this is humorous, I did at first .. but when you look at the protesters faces and see that they aren't just a bunch of crazy college kids. There are 50 year old women being bashed by police shields - something is wrong with the government. Very wrong.

  • @MrAKFrost your right man. soon as we question anything in this country, they dont like it. they want us to be nice and quiet, hence the flouride in our water......... a seditive, to keep us calm and abiding.

  • Comment removed

  • just like the good old medievil days

  • @JUKIO01 Lol no you would just be shot in the medievil days. I'm pretty sure that they weren't shot.

  • @kyle9524 I think you mean gunpowder age, as during the medieval ages there were no guns, and rioters would not be shot with arrows, but simply beheaded or hung or beaten.

  • ACAB

  • Yellow shirts would be a nice touch too !

  • In the future, protesters should show up wearing helmets, knee pads, and shields !

  • @RobertMOdell i like ur comment

  • @RobertMOdell lol iam usually against ppl dissin cops in there own special way but that would be fucking halrious

  • @RobertMOdell

Those who make the peaceful revolution impossible, make the violent revolution inevitable. JFK

  • @RobertMOdell

I agree. On the pretence of a huge skateboarding rally maybe?

Several "retired" football crews added to the numbers of the protestors would give them a bit more nous i reckon.

  • @RobertMOdell They did that in South Korea. See what happened there.

  • haha dumb protestors getting owned is funny.

  • should have taken over that crane !

  • in the Video i saw 1 guy using his GirlFreind as a Sheild

  • more planning is needed for these peaceful demonstrations...Lots more planning..

  • @auroraslaugh

    Fuck the Tea Party.

  • It would take no more than 15 skinheads to end this gathering.

  • lol no one feels sorry for them they put themselves in these situations and have the choice not to get violent

  • had to repost people wake up and learn something before its too late I agree we all may need the police at some point in our lives. But lets not forget what the police are here to do. They are public servants and if some of the public wish to protest peacfully to try to bring about positive change in this world then they should be protected not batterd. Im a free human being and as long as im not hurting anyone then i should be free to go about my business unhindered.

  • They chant that before grabbing the police officers sheilds. They should have just shot them, Or called in the army.

  • The Only shame in this video is that the cops weren't using Full Metal Jackets!

  • @SilentHawk45

    You piece of shit.

  • A bunch of smirking, college douche bags who were never told "no" by mommy and daddy and so now they have to be hit with batons before they will obey the police.

  • looks like a riot to me

  • @steveo20007 You dont pay very close attention then. Riots are violent. There protesting.

  • @Skudz47 yeah youre right, i should have said that this looks like the beginning of a riot to me

  • @steveo20007 to bad it wasnt

  • hmmm, lets think about this logically, there are lots of police in full riot gear with battons drawn moving towards you making it quite clear they want you to move away. Do you A. move towards them to get battoned or do you B. Do as your told and move away?

    Not rocket science!

  • @beninnotts Who are they to tell us what to do?

  • @acidturkey is that really a serious question? Honestly, thats one of the stupidist questions i've ever heard. Like it or not we all need the police at some point in our lives.

  • @beninnotts I agree we all may need the police at some point in our lives. But lets not forget what the police are here to do. They are public servants and if some of the public wish to protest peacfully to try to bring about positive change in this world then they should be protected not batterd. Im a free human being and as long as im not hurting anyone then i should be free to go about my business unhindered. I resent being told what to do i am not a child.

  • @beninnotts keep taking your blue pill puppet

  • """Police attack crowd chanting "This is not a riot" at G20 Summit """ SO??? what does that mean??? Im gone try that running in a bank and scream this is not a robbery and take the money anyways and when they catch me I say, Hey i told em it was not a robbery roflamo

  • @kingfreeland have you got eyes? or are you just an idiot?.look at the video.

Did you miss seeing the people with their hands in the air?

Their is no hope for idiots like yourself.

  • @kingfreeland wtf is up with you idiots? do you even know what a riot is? this was a peaceful protest. They chant its not a riot because the police have orders from the elite to treat them this way.

  • @auroraslaugh

if ian never had any experience with the police how would he know they may attack him,its quite funny watching passer bys sometimes when stuff like this is happening because they cant believe it,the american guy that filmed it was traumatised enough to make sure is video got out there to give ian a chance of justice.

  • @auroraslaugh

are you suggesting if my grandfather got caught bring jews to britain he would have been murdered and wouldve deserved it ? because there were risks?

  • @auroraslaugh

No he was trying to get home ,he walked up to the police line and asked if he could get past to go home(he tried 3 or 4 different ways to get home but was turned back every time).the last time he asked they said no and he was walking away from the police with his back towards them and a cop attacked him from behind with his truncheon and killed him.thankfully the police don't carry guns here but even if they did the only excuse to use a gun is in self defence.

  • @auroraslaugh

yes in hind sight he should gone a different way but that does not give the cops the right to kill him.,likewise if i go on a demo it doesn't give the cops the right to kill me,like the people that the Israelis murdered, they did not want to die tom hurdall was shot in the head for trying to lead some children to safety, that will teach him to try and help Palestinians and it sends a message out to the rest of the world too

  • @auroraslaugh

and being old is no protection ive seen 70 year old grannies being dragged by their hair.

  • @auroraslaugh

policy is the thing.previous(in britain) protests wanted to be peaceful as well but the government did not what people to exercise their democratic rights and so showed them violence, and as many cops have said if you dont want to get hurt ,if you dont want your children to be hurt then stay at home.

This is the protest where they killed a passive passer by who got caught up in the crowd trying to get home.

some of the close up footage was more savage, but the video is important b

  • fucking hippie bastards some need a it of a kicking

people just need to strap on a pair of nuts

  • No you right wing bastards need a good kicking! Why dont you right wing scum come along and try to fight us anarchists and anti-capitalists next time there is an anti-capitalist demonstration in London!

  • @ollie272

got more bottle than you though im sure youd shit a brick

  • I see no police brutality in this video. I see large groups of rioters that are swarming around the riot police. A group of those officers were even pinned against a wall by the rioters. Are you people really that idiotic. They push their shields out as a form of self defense, and they are trained to keep a barrier between themselves and the rioters because there have been many officers killed by rioters.

  • If the police werent there who do you think would be getting hurt? Protestors tasing and beating other protestors? Protestors attacking other protestors with dogs and tear gas?...That wasnt a riot so why are there riot police spoiling for a fight at the slightest hint of a paint can or a bottle thrown (at them again if they werent there?)

Face it Riot police belong at riots not political protests. Hope you're never in a minority group or have a brain and express an opinion not spoon fed to you.

  • Tomtaroo:

Police are requried at all large gatherings because people act like idiots when they get into groups. People like you believe that they are getting their point across by causing damage to property and screaming at the top of your lungs, but you only hurt your cause. I do have a brain, and I probably use mine more frequently than you use yours. If you had been using your brain, you would've known that you need a permit. You would've also known that you shouldn't attack riot police.

  • if the police carry this type of behaviour on than they will be hurt - fucking scum

  • Dirty Hippies got what they deserved!

  • well said

  • so..we pay taxes, and taxes fund the police. Does that mean we are paying for this police brutality?

    that makes me fucking sick

  • our taxes go towards paying the interest the bank of england charges the government to pay things like schools, police, roads and so on. the sooner people wake up to this con the better.

  • Brilliant, totalatarianism!

  • Resin:

You clearly know nothing about totalitarianism. This is an example of rioters getting out of hand, refusing to obey the law, and swarming riot police. Did you not notice that the rioters were advancing on the officers? Did you not notice that they had several officers pinned against a wall? Do you even know the training that riot officers go through? Do you know how many officers have been killed because of rioters? Educate yourself before posting mindless garbage.

  • fact - protesters wanted to protest in bishopsgate and to eventually congregate outside the bank of england which they did. Just because they then got bored and wanted to move elsewhere isnt the police's problem. Other people should be allowed to get on with their day - I wasnt - I work in the city ( i have been made redundant and am just finishing my last few days) and therefore have more reason to protest than most of these idiots and you fuckers stopped me from going to an interview - thanks.

  • england:

That is exactly why protesters are required to fill out permits and have law enforcement at the gathering. Unfortunately, most of the protestors don't want to remain peaceful or stationary, so they get loud, angry, and agressive. Ironically they seem to always attempt to make the police officers out to be the 'bad guy' when they are simply doing their jobs.

  • I'm sorry when did the polices job of protecting citizens become beating the crap out of people on behalf of the government?

Oh boohoo theres a bit of paint on my precious bank send in the police, who do you think they're REALLY protecting? people or property? wonder whether they would call this force reasonable if their mothers were protesting...

  • Tomtar:

I can't tell if you are serious or not. I find it fascinating that you get upset when the police interfere and attempt to preven people from breaking the law. The police are there to uphold the law. Those protestors are breaking the law just by being there, and then they further break the law by causing property damage, disobeying officers, and in some cases attacking the officers.

  • So by your logic collective punishment should rule for the actions of a few? Sweeping statements about a group of people who are all there for different reasons are flawed.

People get far more loud and destructive on a night out. Do we announce a nationwide curfew to prevent that as well? Or would that cause uproar by infringing the rights of the people here claiming that no-one should express an opinion different to the government?

  • Tom:

Don't put words in my mouth. You obviously don't even understand what logic is, seeing as how you fail to use it continually. This isn't about punishing groups. It is about an attempt to avoid damage and injury. You have to prevent people from breaking the law. I'm sure you would not approve of someone "tagging" your home and breaking your windows. You also have a habit of using logical fallacies. Those causing destruction on "nights out" are generally punished for doing so.

  • Protests aren't against the law. The initial fault lies with the police for cracking down both legally by infringing the Human right to freedom of expression and Morally by starting a fight in a heavyhanded way when a simple push forward would have cleared the path without weighing into a bunch of anaemic students with batons and shields.

Porportionate state sanctioned violence is legal under the law, this was disporportionate legally and morally

  • Tom:

I never said that protests were against the law. I said that you are required to have a permit. The police aren't at fault. They were doing their job, and those being pushed should have listened to the officers. It is not difficult to receive a permit to protest, but apparently everyone on here wants to act as though it is the most difficult thing in the world. You also fail to realize that morals are relative. Each person has a different set morals.

  • You dont see any conflict of interest in the fact that to protest you have to register a permit to protest with the very people who have declared london a "no-protest zone" because of "terrorism risks"? Permits to protest were denied for a perfectly legitimate protest on "terrorism" grounds when there have been thousands of protests before without terrorism, its not like terrorism was invented in 2001 so why the big change? if everyones allowed their own moral why the big deal with protesting?

  • "Unfortunately, most of the protestors don't want to remain peaceful or stationary,"

Dont be a justifying idiot look at the evidence on this website that 99% of protestors aren't violent until the police start attacking. Even if that wasn't some tosh justifying universal beatings for being "loud" it would be out of porportion. And frankly defending yourself from illegal use of force and preventing it being used on others is all citizens (including the police's) job according to Robert Peel.

  • Tom:

Perhaps you should actually observe some protests or video footage of protests. You can perform studies to show anything you wish, so that doesn't support your arguement. More often than not, I have seen protesters become violent, the police attempt to respond, and then you have ignorant fools amongst those that initially became violent attacking the police because they don't know what's going on. Usually the police don't attack without a reason.

  • So what the tea party protestors in america are all inherently violent because they were protesting and thus a police crackdown was justified "just in case" they kicked off?

Curious what the "sub-human protestors" crowd would have said to that.

  • Tom:

You continually put words into my mouth. I have never called protestors "sub-human." Also, officers are required at any protest incase a riot breaks out. You can never tell what will happen when people gather in large numbers. Unfortunately, people like you don't really understand why you are required to have law enforcement present, or why you must receive a permit.

  • No i don't, please do explain why at a peaceful protest with a load of people sitting in tents expressing a dissatisfaction with government policy need 1,000 police to come crashing in with riot equipment? Why DO they need a permit to protest? Thats like asking for permission to complain from the people you are complaining too. if the government was to ban cars you wouldn't want to ask permission from the government who will probably go "no you can't protest...terrorism and stuff you know?"

  • Tom:

I don't think you've been listening to a single thing that I've said. You keep running in circles. I've already explained why they need permits. As for your last statement, you are simply being foolish. Stop using logical fallacies, and stop wasting both of our time.

  • Tom:

You act as though it is the most difficult thing in the world to get a permit to protest. They are very easy to get, and it takes little time and effort. You also seem to not realize that people were required to receive permits for protesting long before 2001. Protesting is a big deal because people have been unable to behave themselves in the past. For some reason people usually act like animals when they form large groups. They act as if the law doesn't matter.

  • I love how you talk high and then make sweeping statements of protestors totally ignoring the point of a protest which is to raise awareness and not to cause damage. Oh and Ad Hominem attacks

Ignoring the "well you'd rather" fallacy. I'd rather my home was tagged than a X amount of people were injured for a crime they might or might not have commited in the future. Police protect people not property well at least they used to.

Nights out arent policed by collective beatings in short form.

  • Tom:

I haven't ignored the point of a protest, but apparently you choose to ignore the reasons behind requiring permits. I haven't used the "well you'd rather", but you have. I asked you a question. Police are there to enforce the law, not to protect criminals.

  • I love as they are chanting this, they move in closer to the police. I wish those cops would have smashed in all of those people's heads!

  • riddler:

I agree with you 100%. I can't believe how many idiotic, ignorant people view this video and then attack the officers. What would you do if you had a swarm of people forcing their way towards you? They even had some of the officers pinned against a wall.

  • would have been nice to see someone pull a knife out and gut one of those punk ass cops

  • FUCK THE POLICE SCUM !!

  • the police will fear the people one day thats a fact.

  • Fuck the Police. One day they will realize they are a bit out-numbered. And it won't be the easy way.

  • Outrageous, total pea-brained policing... builds nothing but disrespect for authority.

  • where were all these protest losers when london was bomb, where were all these protesters when radical muslim walk the streets, chanting death to the british, death to the jews, death to the infidels, fucking losers dont know when to fight and when to stay home

  • any of these cops even consider next week? Or what it does to the badge itself? people aren't going to forget this...
