  • Cuteness OVERLOAD! I love her little tail.

  • my family uses an inter-tube it seems to work really well that way wen the foal pulls back it's not tugging on a stationary object. it has a lot of give to it

  • @mebeinme22 Sounds like a good idea. I always like to hear other ideas, Thanks for sharing

  • @windsofcolor your welcome lol we've done this with all are horses and they all tie really well and after they will also lead really well

  • @mebeinme22 Our horses lead and tie when thay still at moms side. As yearlings they're lounging and

know word, and sound comands. They also learn body language such as a half turn by the handler towards

them means stop. Thanks its nice to talk to other horse people. Horses are smarter then people give them credit for.

  • @windsofcolor yes they are and we usually don't start working with ours till they're about 4 months or a year it depends if they're in pastier or not but my family don't breed anymore wasn't enough money in it and our neighbors kept messing with our studs

  • she's so cute!

  • hmm...thats a swan.

I love the way you taught this filly to tie. It seems tying her up high gave her more relief from the pressure than tying her at head level!

  • magnifique poulain

    ---

    Beautiful foal

  • she has such a cute face! Love the blaze

  • Thanks very much for your comment. I would

really like to sell her to a show family.

    Thanks again!!

  • A horse running loose can also hurt themselves would your method release the horse with the rope attached?

  • I think that's a great idea. I do use a slip

tie on the rope. But better yet I use a clip

that will break away. Thanks for your comment.

  • I would be very leery of trying this particual technique when teaching a horse to tie. A horse can get in major trouble very quickly doing it this way. I always use a Clinton Anderson Blocker Tie Ring when teaching a horse to tie. You can hold onto the end so they can't pull it through, but if they get into trouble it will slip through for safety.

  • Awesome job Isis!!
