nowaaay,,i am 100% sure that the earth could fit 338 times in jupiter.. and waht? saturn 850x the earth? saturn is smaller than jupitur, it doesen't make sence what you sa.y. sorry.. otherwise.. really love it..
Thanks for putting this up. Even though Saturn is almost 850x the size of the Earth, it is almost 10x as far from the Sun, that is why it looks the way it does.
Trust me Jupiter is at least 1,300 to 1,400 times Earths volume and Saturn roughly around 800 times Earth's volume. Look it up if you don't believe me.
Nice Picture just got my Meade EXT-70,506 Cable and Software,Series 4000 Plossl Eyepiece,Tripod,Set #1 Filters Set and A ND 96 Moon Filter, Extended Focus and More want to get more Plossl only have 6.4mm and the MA's that came with the Scope. Still want to Photograph after I get used to it. It is Fun and I got everything for about $180.00 cheap.. Thanks for sharing the Photo. Steve
to see pluto, you need a good 12'' and a very clear sky (it is going to be like a pixel) .... Saturn is about 25.000 times more brighter than pluto!!!!
Dude, Meade scopes are Rad!!! Every scope is limited by apature size, when using for extraterrestrial viewing, but the ETX stuff is high quality and holds its value well. Plus when I did have a problem with the computerized controller they just sent me a new one even though I was like a month over-due on my warrantee. and also, mrspock is totally right, you can see andromeda with your naked eyes. If you use your peripheral vision you can see alot more.
galaxies are possible in a small scope...saw M33 Andromeda on a Meade 90mm on regular basis..mostly takes time to really learn where they are,THEN have good viewing conditions, and good eyepieces
i just got this same telescope, and i saw my first galaxy through it, it wasnt huge and vibrent, but it was small and vibrent...ill take pictures tommarow and put them on here if you want me to

Yes, through a Meade ETX-70. I don't remember what kind of barlow I used, but it was probably the original 3X Meade Barlow from the package.

is the Meade ETX-80 better?
kurdiii89 3 years ago
The ETX 80 is the latest replacement for Meade ETX 70. The Optical Diameter is 80 mm in comparison of the 70 mm from the ETX 70 !

Can't, Saturne is really near from Earth, Galaxies are so faraway... Maybe with a better photographic instrument (I got Saturne with my webcam).
