  • So much for UBC people reading any more.

The 'info' lists this video as being sped up, as well as several comments.

  • Couldn't really see anything as buddy was driving WAY too fast. So much for driving 30 kmh in the park.

  • wow, you drove that fast.

much faster than roller-blades i remember

  • This video is sped up around 2x.

  • omg diz video is boring

  • Very Sad to see, but that's nature and we have no control over her, as she cleanses her backyard.

  • Really sorry about the damage. But thank you so much for this video. I lived in Vancouver for 6 years, biked that route so often. Living in Japan now, really brought it back for me. If you could do the same thing for the Kits>Jericho>Spanish Banks>Wreck Beach route that would really flip me out! :)

  • I'll see what I can do. It will be rainy on saturday, but Sunday might clear up.

  • WOW thank you so much .. ive been lookin for a video that was just like this .. I totally love going to Stanley park when i go down to Vancouver .. ! i acutally spend most my time there , i have the deepest love for that park . I cant belive the damage i seen with just ya dashboard camera alone .. I cant wait till April ( my holidays from work ) and take a trip down there and marvel at the damage in person .. thnx agian for ya effort and video :) much appericated !!

  • You're welcome.

The parking lot around prospect point was covered in trees for a week before they opened the road. The northwest part of the park is where the most of the blown down trees were.

I think that the park will still be enjoyable even with a few trails closed because they're impassable.

  • err, you've sped up the video right? Cause I cannot believe North American traffic is THAT fast.

  • sped up a little bit. The speed limit there is 30 kph.

  • gosh that really sucks, I live in Vancouver to and

  • Hey that was cool. I have visited Stanley Park several times so I recognize some of the landmarks.

Have you been to Newfoundland? In some places large trees get knocked regularly.

  • I haven't been to Newfoundland, but people tell me I have a Newfie accent.
