Truer words were never spoken by Diamond Dave and maybe there was truth to both ends on Eddie and Dave's story because Van Halen wouldn't let Micheal anthony back in for the reunion tour so maybe Dave was right in the fashion there is dishonesty in van halen. Sammy tried to take Davids place but the reunion tour proved that no one could take Daves place and it goes to show that Dave was part of the heart and soul of the band just as much as Eddie or Alex and certainly more then Sammy Hagar.

Dave's voice, even if you have never seen him on the screen, has the tongue and cheek sound to it that makes the Roth era songs unique. Sammy has a more traditional rock voice which equally awesome, especially on power ballads. Also, it's not Sammy is boring to watch visually either. They are both great front men/ lead singers who's individual styles determined the musical approach of the rest of the band.

Sammy has the better voice. Dave has a more dynamic stage personality. In short Sammy is better to listen to, but Dave is more entertaining to watch.
