  • @Sogwa

But you never said what liquid you used to brime the chicken. I see it wasn't buttermilk. Was it plain water, beer, or what?

  • I like not having to egg wash! Great idea!!

  • your the man!

  • Oh man, You're making me hungry. Stuff looks good.

  • Great Chicken. I do have a question though. How do you keep the really big breast pieces from burning and still make sure they get done in the middle? If I turn down the heat the chicken seems really oily.

  • Stupid question, but what is the 'liquid' you used to put the seasoning and chicken in ?

  • the recipe is posted on his site listed to the right. It's basically a brine. Salted water, with the seasonings he had on the counter.

  • Some people mix the seasoning with water and salt and sugar. Google brine solution.

  • Great Video! Question...what was the liquid that you drained off the chicken (that the chicken was soaking in) when the video began and how much of it was in the container?

  • Just perfect! cheers! KtC

  • Thanks KTC !!

  • my late great cousin lucile told me you should fry chicken and lard not vegatable oil

    the lard gives ita crisp

  • Vegetable oil doesn't give it a crispy flavor?

  • You have made a Scottish family very happy - and fatter! We owe you a "haggis" recipe, or a bottle o' whiskey!

  • Thanks for this crunchy and spicy recipe!!.. what if i fry at 360 F, will i still have it hot & spicy?

  • I would advise against high temps, as the seasoning will begin to burn before the chicken is done. I would suggest your max be 340 degrees for 17 min according to the size of your chicken pieces.

  • Unless your frying on top of the stove.

  • you make it look so easy,i'll mess around and burn down my house tryin to fry some chicken lol

  • It is RCreality, look if you got a deep fryer you got it going on. If youtube gave me more time I'd show you step by step how to do this recipe.

  • well imma make sho I purchase a deep fryer before I start cooking chicken

  • RC don't be turned of if you don't have a deep fryer, it can be fried on top of the stove with a heavy pot. Only you must regulate the temp of your oil constantly. Meaning 350 degrees is perfect for frying chicken on top of the stove. Only after you drop your chicken it lowers the temp of the oil so you must turn the stove up, once you get the oil back at 350 you must turn it back down so the chicken don't burn. You feel me!!

  • :::continued:::

So you got to keep this process up for about 15 -20 min. The Deep Fryer does this automatically in 15 -- 17 min, your just waiting for your chicken with some hot sauce!!! lol

  • lol... cool..I guess imma give it a try bro, thanks for the help

  • thanks for the comments FlowerDrumSong!!

  • Wow, that was some spicy chicken, I didn't even use hot sauce! :-)
