yup some prisons even now guards carry shotguns still.

actualy, the prison guards were heavily armed during the 30's till the 80's now they carry big caliber guns.

But still, if there was a riot, the prisoners would be armed.

@maxman1602 It happens, you just gotta wait them out they'll run out of ammo, most cases they use it on eachother.
