I was 18 and very immature, away from home for the first time at college, dumped by my "Prince Charming", sitting on the exam table in the ER after having tried to OD on my roommate's asthma medication, singing this song to myself........made me feel better because 'THAT'S THE WAY I FELT ABOUT HIM". Years later I found out that he was a burn-out loser momma's boy jerk. Time to write a new song!
Jesse's songs make my heart soar, so very beautiful, just love this song! Takes me back to his concert in La Jolla, Ca at the Elephant Bar, where after signing his album, "Perfect Stranger", he kissed me on my cheek, how cool! Thanks, Jesse!
Jesse, this is one of my favorite or your tunes. I love your music and so grateful I've been able to grow old with your beautiful music. It's been many years since I met you and other members of the Youngbloods at Lagoon in Utah. It's great to know you are still making wonderful music
Long time since I heard this song. To a old lover and many nights under the Blossom Music Center Concert Series, with our friends. Jesse Colin Young was just one of them. Thanks for the Memories.
I heard this for the first time a few weeks ago when a friend made me a cd of 70s music and this was on it. Im almost 50. I have played it over and over. Wonderful.
Jesse I lost my Husband a little over 5 yrs. ago-he was a big fan of yours-he was a very special man-I miss him so-we used to listen to Ridgetop and Miss Hesitation and all of the Young Bloods-I have had a hard time of it w/out my "ole Man" but I have your music to remind me of "the good life" Thanks so much!
This is one of my favorite songs by you Jesse, I seen you in the Oakland Stadium in 1974 with CSNY, Joe Walsh and the barnstorm, and The Band, I was 16, I have always loved your music, your voice is like silk, and covers my soul with such a soft touch. Thank you....
Also saw JCY lead off for CSNY in 1974 at the Liberty Bowl in Memphis. He did Sunlight, my all-time favorite song, and my eyes filled with tears with my new wife beside me. They just filled up again.
Hey Gert!! Remember This? We loved it. Thank you Jesse and peizblog 1975.

I grew up with this music. Ridgetop, My Motorhome, this one, too. It was a wonderful time in my life. Thanks for the memories.

My favorite passage- the music, his voice and the words are just romantic perfection:
"Like a tree in a meadow wind
she will bend to take you in
Makes no difference where you been"
