  • Good video. Day 1 for me. No kidding I could tell a difference right away.

  • I'm vegan so I use coconut oil to cook and bake, but now you gave me another reason to use coconut oil. Thanks :-)

  • Honestly, not. But I started again, for I am turning 30 God's willing in November. I see my face changes when I apply it. Some people have noticed the change. I've started to see fine lines under my eyes, I don't like them. So I am definitely continuing to use coconut oil. Has it work on your hair growth? I started using Biotin, since my hair is thin, specially at my nape. That disappoints me, and makes me feel soo self-concious ugh....Well, thanks for asking, take care, and God bless.

  • @dvery1 you should need to take a breath, and relax. Aging is part of every single human being and you should not try and look like you did back in the teen years, I am sure you will be fine. Happy birthday

  • @theCoDGoDTEDDY YEAH IS PART OF IT. YOU'RE RIGHT! & THANKS FOR THE BDAY WISH. GOD BLESS!

  • get the eff out of here...you're 40? you must still get carded cuz you look 20 max. you look great!

  • Girl, you are beautiful at 40! I had known about coconut oil from years back, but somehow it didn't get on my radar...but the health benefits of eating coconut oil recently caught my attention. So, I'm using it on my face, hair and eating it. I just started so wish me luck. Thanks for your video

  • It has anti fungal properties, it cures athletes foot.

  • what does it do for feet?

  • will just spectrum organic coconut oil unrefined work becuase i cant find the one you have or all the unrefined ones work the same such as virgin and non virgin

  • Do you ever use the coconut oil on your hair?

  • We are asking for testimonials on the use of coconut oil. The testimonial will be used in an up coming book called 99 benefits of coconut oil. If you can provide a testimonial please reply. Also, please let us know whether or not you would like your name or a pseudonym used along with your testimonial.

  • I have been using coconut oil for the last 2 weeks and love it! I ingest 1 tablespoon 3x's a day, use it on my hair, body, feet and face. It has cleared my adult acne, reduced the lines around my eyes and nearly eliminated the lines on my forehead! I found great deals on Nutiva at Amazon. BTW...i am 50 and have no intentions of looking it if I can avoid it!

  • I'm turning 40 next year too! lol

I love Coconut oil but it makes the blackheads worse ... maybe I will just skip my nose lol

  • Your skin is beautiful

  • She is telling the truth... I use on my feet too.

  • You look gorgeous... I asked my mother, i said " how old do you think she is ? " and she answered " Well, she must have 18 or 19 " haha !

  • lol...you're funny. And you look gorgeous to be 40 over here. Coconut oil is good for wrinkles? How often do you use it? I started trying it on my face last night.

  • @dvery1 did coconut oil work on your skin?

  • You DO look good, hon, very nice skin, very even and smooth. Do you still use your coconut oil? Oh yeah, what is your hair concoction for damaged hair? The same thing with Coconut oil, cocoa butter and witchhazel?

  • You do not look 40! You look great!

  • @Larzabeth Thank You!!! =)

  • coconut oil also speeds up te metabolisim.Indigenous peoples have used the stuff for thousands of years.

  • @Junior1luv Yep! thanks for sharing that with everyone :)

  • @coldbluerain LOL..Thank you =) Enjoy the Oil!

  • great video....and you look fab for almost 40

  • @cyndieg2 Thank you =)

  • i love this video girl, you look nowhere near 40 but embrace it anyway. you will be forty and fabulous right? i wamted to ask you though, do you rinse the oil off of your face or let it soak in and how often do you do it? your skin looks flawless!

  • @obamaboy1 Ha Haaaa YES...40 and Fabulous!!! although now I'm 41 LMAO but still Fabulous!!!! LOL I leave the oil on my skin. Only when I use this oil as a "hot" oil treatment in my hair do I rinse it out but on my skin, I just add accordingly until my entire face is moisturized. Just dab some on your cheeks, forehead, chin and work it in with your fingers. If you need a little more..add a little more. I just continue to rub it in until it feels less oily =)

  • i've been using coconut oil (same brand as a matter of fact) as a moisturizer (skin & hair) too, for about the past month or so, and i'm noticing little blemishes disappearing, and i haven't had any breakouts either, and i'm 44. i also put it on my wet hair and let it air dry. i have locs and they're softer and have a nice lustre. your skin is gorgeous. oh, and it's ok if it solidifies, your body heat melts it really fast.

  • @deeknits It's Great isn't it!!! LOL I like to use the bottle's pointy tip so that I can oil mu scalp with just working that tip all of my scalp and squeezing out oil ;D but I know what you mean....thanks for sharing :-)

  • Your skin is beautiful and glowing, I will try coconut oil, thanks!

  • @onstyle108 Thank you so much! and yes..try it! It's great for your hair as well! You can use it as a hot oil treatment. Just apply it all thru your hair and then cover your head with a plastic cap. The heat from your head should be good enough but you can sit under a dryer too. Let me know what you think :-)

  • @ttopcar thank you soooo much!

  • @pinkglamgyrl78 NP :-)))

  • where can I get virgin coconut oil from?...can some one tell me pleeeease:-)

  • @pinkglamgyrl78 I Can! LOl go to spectrumorganics dot c-o-m. (type it out normal in the address bar...I can't put the actula website or even right the c word without YT giving me an erro mesasge) Just type cocnut oil in their search thing and select the unrefined one...that will be the pure one.

  • you look great !!! Thank you for sharing.

I love people like you, who share their good experiences and knowledge with others.

  • @Konnie11121314 Thank you!!!! :-)

  • Wait, I thought coconut oil was for Alzheimer's and brain function and you are talking about nappy hair? Or am I missing something.

  • you can turn the top upside down to use sorta like a funnel...

  • I LOVE ME SOME COCONUT OIL!!! im 32 but look 22 because of it!

  • @BEAUTIFULHAIR3 That's Great!!! :-)

  • you remind me of alicia keys, also you don't look 40 to me. look younger. I got sunburn over the summer and heard coconut oil might repair my skin so yeah...

  • @ichiquiorra4 Did you try the coconut oil on your burn? I'm sure it will help re-nourish your skin!

  • @ttopcar yes I did try it, it really did help re-nourish my skin after all the sun burn.

  • @ichiquiorra4 That's Good! I'm glad the oil was helpful for you :-)

  • You have just given me another reason for my coconut oil. I know coconut oil is a hair saver.

  • @tamoniva12 Cool! Run It! :-)

  • @monamonaji Aww..thank you ;D

  • i thought you were 28 or something. good job!

  • @pokersource LOl..Thanks!

  • I was thinking of using coconut oil on my hair. I'm not sure about my face though I have very oily skin.

  • @GivingGlory Yeah..you MAY not want to use it on your face. I've found that works for some doesn't always work for other's so I don't know.

  • did you use wash the coconut oil after an hour or do you leave it on all day?

  • @blaxican2000 No..I leave it on. It eventually get's absorbed into my skin and of course I'm periodically working it into my skin during the first half hour to an hour. I pretty much wear eye makeup so I can get away with doing that LOL but you can apply just enough to moisurize your skin with out leaving oil still on your face. Just use a lil bit at a time.

  • You are pretty.

  • @coolgirlee Thank you :-)

  • Wow, you look amazing! I would never guess you were even near 40! Do you think this would work too for the little lines right below eyes or the fine smile lines. I'm young and no one can really tell, but I don't want them to get bigger. Also, any idea if this works on streach marks?

  • @KatonaBoat Stretch marks are a tricky thing. If they are fresh..still pink or red in color then yes..coconut oil, cocoa butter, vitamin E..all those any of those are GREAT for skin..but when the stretch marks are lighter than your natural skin tone..then no..there's nothing that you can do to get rid of them aside from laser surgery from what I hear. I think age lines are envitable but if we can keep our skin moist then that should help prolong the lines from deepening for a while.

  • you look GREAT!

  • @charlieangel1000 Thank You!!!

  • btw, you no way look 40. i would say 30...max!

  • @MustNotRead Wow 30!!! I'll take that LOL Thank you ;D

  • lol, you had to Photoshop the lines out of your head.

  • @MustNotRead Hell Yeah! That ish looked awful LOL Models do it so why can't I LOL

  • im gonna buy it by the gallon from tropical traditions!

  • And sense the spots are gone in the scalp, the fungus on my face is gone as well. Before i told you it was coconut soap, but that oatmeal soap. Now i use the coconut oil milk soap & coconut oil. I plan to use this stuff all over the body. Your post was valueable, & thankyou. Do you have cute toes? Anyway for footfetishers like me, you look nice & i was curious. Take care, & are there other benefits of coconut that you'd like to share. Take care, foot-man.

  • Rickames here Michelle. It's early in the morning & beleive it or not you're the first woman i though about when i looked at myself this morning. Wow, you take it as a compliment. I've been using coconut milk soap & coconut oil on my skin. It's made my face lighter & fresher looking. Because i'm exposed to the sun from years, & recent execerising at 7:00 pm, it takes a little longer for the fine lines to disappear, but they are shrinking. The oil makes my scalp sensitve, but the spots are gone.

  • Amen my sister teach all!! great video. Rosa

  • @HairNailsBeautytips Thank you..Peace ;D

  • What happened to you not driving??? I just started using the oil for my hair..

  • @bailey1950 I've been legally blind for the past 7yrs so driving is out for me. How is the health of your hair now that you've started using the oil? Any difference?

  • @ttopcar : Sorry to hear about being legally blind.. Ouch!I have noticed a difference in my hair.. It's more heatlhy.. I'm digging that blond! It looks good on you..

  • @bailey1950 LOL..Thanks .. it's a very dark brown now ;D I'm always switching it up!

  • I've been using coconut oil for a week now and it broke me out so bad... man I have pimples w whiteheads all over , I don't understand why it's not working for me... I'm too through

  • @blackleatherjkt Oh Nooooo! Really??? Did you by chance apply the oil to a "not so clean" face? b/c one time my face felt dry to me, so I put some of the oil on my face and the next day, I developed a huge pimple on my cheek area. I figured it was becaue my face wasn't freshly cleaned before I put the oil on it...it was during the early evening when I put it on.

  • @ttopcar Yes, I washed my face first w ambi complexion soap, and I had the coconut oil for a week before I wld use it because it didn't make sense to me to put coconut oil on an already oily face. And exactly what I thought would happen did. I actually counted 35 pimples on my face, God as my witness I am not lying. I think if your skin is already acne prone it will make it worse. So now I'm tring to get it clear again w African black soap, witch hazel (toner) moisturizer.

  • @blackleatherjkt Wow..I'm so sorry that happened to you. when I read that you already have oily skin I thought Ouch..the oil may not be for you then...but there are tons of other earthly, healthy products out there. i have an oily T zone but I haven't had any bad break outs. I still get a blemish here and there but nothing bad. and I now only use the oil 2 maybe 3 times a week. I use it moe on my hair than my skin lately. Again I'm really sorry :-(

  • @blackleatherjkt i think the coconut oil was pulling the toxins out of your face. unrefined coconut oil is great . you should try it again

  • @BEAUTIFULHAIR3 You know I had alot of people telling me that, and to keep using it until all the toxins were up but I'm afraid to use it again. I have now switched from the African black soap to the Burt Bees line. It's been a week and a half now since using and the acneis almost completely gone. I think it's a case of finding what works best for you, so I'm going to stick with it. I do however use the coconut oil to moisturize my legs and feet.

  • damn girl you look 20! good job!

  • @cs4202 LOL..Thank You :-)

  • Man, I hope and pray I look as young as you do... I mean i thought you were probably 12 years younger then you said you are... Wow! You go girl :)

  • @NickiAnn17 LOl...thanks ;D

  • 40 is looking mighty fine...!!! :):)

  • @acapellavox It Feels Mighty Fine Too :-)

  • @xlextreme You're Welcome :-)

  • I'm loving the 99 Red Balloons playing in the background, and you rockin' the side pony! I'm going to try the oil for sure! Thanks. :)

  • @Neequu78 YW!

  • coconut oil rocks!! what i do now is put aloe vera gel on face (just a little) and "seal" it with extra virgin coconut oil.. best moisturizer ever.. mother nature knows best!!

    p.s. you don't look 40 at all!

  • @starsweet4 That's an interesting moisturerizer combo. Sounds great! Thanks for sharing ;D

  • @ttopcar no prob, i just looooove it so i tell everyone! lol

  • omg your turning 40? wtf i thought you were like any where from 18-23.

  • @BIGDADDYDUKE2 LOL...Thanks!

  • i have oily skin, so i use retin- a micro to help with that but it overdries my skin so ive been use cocount oil as a moisturizer and it has helped. Also i use it as a sunscreen becuase it is a safer alternative than using the sunscreens that are on the market.

  • @calberkeley01 Ya know..I never thought of it being used as a sunscreen. Thanks for sharing that tip ;D

  • Hi Michelle, it's Rickames again. I mentioned to you that I went to the dermatologist. The steroids seems to releive the fungus in my face. My scalp still has the light spots, but it's getting better. Like i told you i will go to the cocount soap. The derm. gave me samples called RETIN- MICRO. She said it's the only product that's FDA approved for firmer skin, that has fillers in it. In case anyone is curious about it, they could ask a derm. & get their opinion. I'll send more info.

  • @rickames Thank you so much for sharing that with us ;D Keep us posted!

  • Love this video, thank you. I am a firm believer of coconut oil and I take 1-3 tablespoons per day, usually in my smoothies but I do not put it on my face regularly. I am going to start, starting tonight!!!

  • @pammturner LOl..You're Welcome ;D

  • Thanks girl awesome

  • @Eymanntulsa You're Welcome ;D

  • 40? wow! i have a few fine lines under my eyes and im 15! =O im gonna try it tomarro lol. thanks so much!!!

  • @CrossCountry4Lyffe Ha Ha Ha...it's never to soon to nourish your skin ;D

  • dont feel bad about turning forty honey, ur very pretty! i love coconut oil!

  • @2855mare Oh I don't feel bad ;D I'm fine with it! but I'm turning 41 in another month and..... LOL Peace!

  • Wow your skin looks great! thx for this video : ) . I was so bummed out cause i found out my 20$ organic lotion brand company was being sued for having cancer ingredients : ( . Sad they don't even put that in the label!! I have that jar of coconut oil : ) gonna go try it right now. Thank you : ) wow 40!!!!!! NO WAY!! No joke u look 20's!! not exaggerating! wow

  • @IampureSol Oh wow! Isn't that scary??? The crap they put in our products in our FOOD! Geeze.

  • you are naturally beautiful ............... love the cosmic blue nails!

  • @typ711 LOL..that nail polish is making a statement of its own ain't it?!?!?! ha ha ha..Thanks!

  • I recently went to a dermatologist to have a fugus lookded at on my face & scalp. Before I went there I had a coconut bar soap. Within 3 or 4 day's I saw it was working on the face. I stopped, because I wanted the fungus gone. Sterroid & something else for my scalp. I'm going to keep using what the physican recommended because it's a yeast. But, the cocount bar already almost cleared up the yeast in my face, but not the sclap yet. So I'm going back to regular bar soap till it's gone & use oil to

  • @rickames Oh wow! I think the oil was helping it..but yeah..use the prescription but definetly continue to use the oil afterwards ;D

  • @ttopcar When I spoke to the dermatologist i asked the questions about younger fimer looking skin. She didn't know of anything but use sunblock, avoid the sun, and a filler over the counter. I was disappointed because I thought she could give more infomation. I'm a nice looking yr old black guy. I was fine but got older. And still get some but not as much notices from the women. I look fairly younger than most guys, but I want to look firm & still good for you women & myself. Recomendations?

  • @rickames Well...as far as I know..there really isn't any products out there that will give you firmer skin. I attribute my firm skin to my black side ;D Definetly limit your sun exposure. I wear a baseball cap most times when I'm out and about. I don't use sunscreen but I do drink a lot of water..it may not be close to the recommended amount but I'll drink water mostly. I don't keep soda in the fridge...that's more of a treat for me. and eat plenty of fruits and veggies.

  • you must smell really nice too lol coconuts XD

  • @LionGoddess1 LOL..ya know what...I don't notice a smell! My sister did when she was here visiting me..but I don't. Guess when you get older your sense of smell fades LMAO!!!!!!!!!

  • girl you look amazing!! you look no older than 25

  • @sosforever LOL...thank you so much! I feel 25..sometimes ;D

  • ur 40?! damn girl you look abt 25!! =D

  • @Goddess0fBeauty LOL..THANK YOOOOOOOU!!!!!!! :-)

  • This is probably a stupid question, but how do you melt the coconut oil? Did you heat it up in the microwave?

  • @soopinkk Nope..not a stupid question ;D Just place the container (whatever the oil is in) in warm water. so fill your bathroom or kitchen sink with warm water and put the jar/bottle/etc in the water for a few moments. OR you can simply melt the product between your fingers or hands. Just scoop out the amount you need at a time and rub your hands together.

  • I seriously thought you were in your early 20's! You look amazing!

  • @MELLOZ8 LOl..thank you so much ;D

  • I like your video. I've been wondering about using coconut oil on the face. It looks like it worked for you. Thanks for the information. By the way you don't look anywhere near 40. :)
