mr kahanek have you had any experience with the seymourt duncan antiquities?
im looking into a new bridge pickup from a seymour duncan alnico 2 to something with sweeter tone, a bit more agressive, and with more midrange, but with a PAF TONE.
im stuck between these pickups and the antiquities, what is your opinion?
@mistad00m . Hey man, I had the same Dilemma that you are having now haha. have a 1960 Gibson Les Paul with seymour Duncan Antiquities. FANATASTIC pickups. I recently got a 1959 reissue, so I figured I'd give the Sheptones a try, Man, these are the real deal, the Antiquities are really nice, But the Sheptone's just have more of a midrange honk and are just alot warmer pickups. Id have to say I like sheps a little more, Brian has an antiquity neck in his 52 tele, in the elmwood modena clean vid
I need to figure out how to adjust my damn plexi man, its so bright compared to this, do you also have the mercury magnetics in this? Im not as familiar with amp guts, only guitars
I took a good 10 to 25 minutes to learn this little thing, i just love playin it, it has sooo much feelin in it. It's simple to play once u learn it too.
hey brian. its kris from myspace. you have to also look into the seymour duncan antiquities if you havent already, those are rigged in my 1960 tobacco sunburst reissue. ive never tried sheptone. i really want to though. you have to let me know where your going to be at namm this year. i couldnt find you
