The american remake was very good. not great, but good. Don't hate on it just cos its the american remake...... doesn't mean its automatically bad. Although i wish they would stop remaking foreign movies and come up with their own original storylines or adaptions of books.
Saw them both. The original kept what time would allow, and was magnificent. The remake didn't remake, it rewrote and changed some things that should have been left alone. The book and original movie were so well received and recognized with rewards for a reason. The American remake was horrible.
To the American guy claiming America will make this film bigger and better, show more of this and that etc... That is exactly why it will not be better. Less is more, subtlety has more impact, imagination is more powerful than spelling it out. The violence and horor element is in contrast to the underlying story of friendship between outcasts.
i thought the movie was really good. its been while since a film had me thinking like the way i was when i watched this flick. yea i too hope your career booms lina!! GL
I coudnt agree more... it is just another sign Hollywood is burnt out. Theres no fresh ideas, just the same old franchises doing their monotonous work every summer.
why did you show us americans this picture. when you know we cant fly over to sweden and meet her. Huge fan love her work and the most beutiful girl i have seen
I hope she becomes what she aspires to be because she has talent. She is such a pretty girl and I bet she'll look better as she ages. I don't know how much Sweden pays its' actors/actresses but if I were her I would stay there and not come to America. It'd be a travesty if she came over here and got caught up with the hollywood lifestyle.
she is special in the film and her amazing portrayal made me really care about her whilst i was watching the film last night and her performance left me feeling sad for the tragic and heartbreaking destiny of her character and the relationship she had with the main male lead role and it is amazing how she can evoke such emotion and feeling with a simple look or a few words.
@disturbed4everluke I'm from the US and I loved LTROI. I am curious about the US version, but I'm really scared that Hollywood screwed the pooch in an attempt to make their own version. Let's face it, whenever you make a copy of something, quality is lost (degradation) and LTROI has a beautifully, haunting soul that can not even be copied.
Her eye colour changed from brown to blue/green in the film. Whenever she needed blood or if she was angry or anything like that, her eyes became blue/green to show her vampiric nature. Her real life eye colour is brown. They used computer graphics in the film to change them to blue/green sometimes.
nice song good choice

actors in Sweden don´t make alot of money. Even less than a factory worker does :/
FreakMarius 2 years ago 2
well, aside from the unfairness of that, I would say that makes them better than the money hungry snobs in Hollywood who sell out daily

Lets establish this now. Anyone else attempting to do another version of this movie will ruin it. Especially an American movie company.
