Laws don't make people moral. Souder proves that. Telling teens that sex is immoral and ill advised does not generally keep them from having sex. Any more than morality, marriage vows and the loss of a House seat prevented Souder from committing adultery.
So teaching teens how to use birth control is more likely to prevent unwanted pregnancy than preaching at them about sex.

Well, a repbulican who screwed up! I mean who would tell teens not have sex while they are getting some on the side besides hypocrite? Some say not to judge him but I am betting if he were a democrat, they would be all over him, calling him all sorts of names. I feel no sympathy for him. Just for his wife and kids who have to be embarrassed and ashamed of him for what he has done.

You can't defend your arguments so you make a straw man out of mine.
Laws don't make people moral. Souder proves that. Telling teens that sex is immoral and ill advised does not generally keep them from having sex. Any more than morality, marriage vows and the loss of a House seat prevented Souder from committing adultery.
So teaching teens how to use birth control is more likely to prevent unwanted pregnancy than preaching at them about sex.

@SamWiseGingy I can tell you that spending more time teaching your child how to put on a condom (which can break) and leaving out the emotional damage sex can do to the children is going to guarantee they have sex. Liberals never think about the emotional toll their teachings bring about.

In the bible when a woman was caught in adultery Jesus told the woman simply this, "go and sin no more." As for the people around her who were judging her, Jesus told them, "let he who is without sin cast the first stone." I'm going to reserve judgment on Mark and hope and pray that he is able to renew his relationship with God and his family. I'm deeply saddened by many of the comments below. Have you never sinned? Where is your spirit of grace and mercy?

But the difference in the bible story you tell and this situation is that Mark Souder is not the adulteress who committed her sin in private. Souder is one of the stone throwers: preaching against the sinners while committing the same sin in private. He runs on a "family values" platform while he shakes the foundation of his own family. He is a hypocrite.

When he stands for DODT he was stoning them. When he tells us what evil people we are because we aren't good Christians like he is he was stoning people. In 1994, as one of those elected in serial-philanderer Newt Gingrich's Contract with America push, Mark Souder pledged that he would only serve three terms in Congress. Obviously, that's not the only pledge he has broken.
