the creature from the gable film looks to be an escaped exotic pet. A gorilla. It moves exactly like a gorilla, and displayed the territorial demeanor of one aswell. Even the teeth at the end where its attacked the camera fit a gorilla. The rich had at one point in time been fond of buying infant gorillas and chimpanzies as pets. Then once they become too large and wild to care for..they let them loose into secluded forests. Those are hopefully days long past though.
@gatheringleaves well in all reality a gorilla is the closest we can get to describing just what this appears to be. It could be anything, but a gorilla is as close as we can get as far as currently known animals. I've seen quadsuits before and they are far too hard ot move quickly in for this to be one of those. There's a great quadsuit maker on youtube named TheBeastCub. You'll see what I mean.

If you watch closely though, you will see that at certain points this creature is actually airborne...a human, down on hands and knees could not run, bounding like that. It's too agile, too fluid. Think about how difficult it is to just crawl around on your hands and knees,let alone go bounding around with that kind of speed and agility. @Logicalpoots You do realize of course, that this video is a hoax. It recieved beau-coup attention a couple of yrs ago and Monsterquest included it in an episode. When the film's owner saw that things were getting out of hand, to his credit, he confessed to it's origin - the owner was actually the creature in the video. He even demonstrated the creature's movements. I must say that when I saw him actually run on all 4's, I was blown away by his strength and agility - almost inhuman~!
@EclipseValthorn Actually yes they have. The amatuer film maker that produced this film was interviewed and explained how he did this and even demonstrated the run you saw in this video. It was the film maker himself in the costume and the time and period were made to look authentic using clothing and old vehicles.
Although it's an entertaining show, Monster Quest is not all that reliable.
Just as there is something mysterious about the Gable film, there is also something odd and equally mysterious about the expose'. It's almost as though people are relieved to hear someone faked the footage. If you want my opinion, the film is real, the admission of fakery is false.

The Gable Film is now to considered to be a hoax, the creator of the film even came forward and showed how & where he did it. It was very well done, even using period equipment & vehicles. But it was a hoax nonetheless. The photograph at 01:13 has been photoshopped/altered also, the original photograph showed a pair of eyes reflecting light, the image of the wolf has been badly pasted over the purported Bigfoot eyeshine.

Agile and fluid? Really? What animal do you know takes the long way to get to its prey? Animals will hurt themselves when chasing something. This thing ran around wtf ever it was squatting next to. To make things even worse, what quadraped runs with an ass to head slant like that? Last, but not least; the damn thing lands on it's front legs (arms of the person in the suit) while they're angled out in the direction of its sides. Must of really liked the camera to hold on to it while fleeing...

If you watch closely though, you will see that at certain points this creature is actually airborne...a human, down on hands and knees could not run, bounding like that. It's too agile, too fluid. Think about how difficult it is to just crawl around on your hands and knees,let alone go bounding around with that kind of speed and agility. As far as the guy goes who tried to claim he made this film, well, we can CLAIM anything, now can't we?

@Logicalpoots You do realize of course, that this video is a hoax. It recieved beau-coup attention a couple of yrs ago and Monsterquest included it in an episode. When the film's owner saw that things were getting out of hand, to his credit, he confessed to it's origin - the owner was actually the creature in the video. He even demonstrated the creature's movements. I must say that when I saw him actually run on all 4's, I was blown away by his strength and agility - almost inhuman~!

@EclipseValthorn Actually yes they have. The amatuer film maker that produced this film was interviewed and explained how he did this and even demonstrated the run you saw in this video. It was the film maker himself in the costume and the time and period were made to look authentic using clothing and old vehicles.

Although it's an entertaining show, Monster Quest is not all that reliable.
Just as there is something mysterious about the Gable film, there is also something odd and equally mysterious about the expose'. It's almost as though people are relieved to hear someone faked the footage. If you want my opinion, the film is real, the admission of fakery is false.

Sounds like an Furry made a partularly realistic suit and decided to pull some pranks. I myself would love to see this highly intelligent anthropomorphic creature. Weather it be werewolf or a true anthro/furry.

the gable film is cool, but fake, we do have bears in some parts of michigan (yes i live in michigan, in Portage, Kalamazoo) but the werewolf/dogman "hot spot" is Ottawa county, i've heard reports that people hav even seen some here in Portage! so my mom hasnt allowed my cats to run around outside anymore, and my dog isnt allowed to play outside with me and my twin brother because shes freaked out that we might get hurt just becuase we're 7 and she thinks we cant defend ourselves ):[

The Gable Film is now to considered to be a hoax, the creator of the film even came forward and showed how & where he did it. It was very well done, even using period equipment & vehicles. But it was a hoax nonetheless. The photograph at 01:13 has been photoshopped/altered also, the original photograph showed a pair of eyes reflecting light, the image of the wolf has been badly pasted over the purported Bigfoot eyeshine.

There were a serious of three tapes (I've only seen two).
The "dog-man" is actually just a guy with one of those camoflauge blankets on.
The teeth were just a close up of Gable's dog which is seen in the beginning of the tape.
