It had a bit to do with the thickness at the bottom as well as the shape where I actually cut it (less work later). Also I went back and cut the rest that was left for a bow drill set!
Couldn't find part 2 . Is it still up? My first bow didn't look quite so good I used Elm, It dried out on me and became too hard to work (Plus I cut into the back tree ring)
I'm inspired to make one now, and ashamed to say that I've always been to idle. That looks wicked, love the handle and the arrow rest. I can see from the video that it sits cumfy in your hand. Can't wait to see the finished article in action 5*
@spannernuts Thanks bro! Can't wait to finish it and try it out. Hopefully it wont snap when i string it. Will be shooting part 2 to keep you guys in the loop. Thanks again
Thanks for sending me yours. That bow was the nutts man and you are damn good with it. Hope I am half that good and mine even works hahaha! Thanks a lot brother I appreciate that.
When i see people cutting trees, i always wonder why cut it so high? if you cut lower to the ground wont it just give you more wood to work with?
