  • Shit was rigged

  • I love the fact that GameDayESPN named this video. Just shows how bad the ruling was.

  • Another reason to hate the Almighty Zebras!!!

  • Robbery. If the refs had made the right call, and michigan was 11-1, people would've STILL been bitching about Michigan getting a BCS bid. That just shows how everyone loves to hate on the top dog. Michigan football is the top dog, and if you only look at 08-10, then you are blind. Michigan is the best football tradition in the country, bar none. USC is a close second, not OSU, not Bama, not LSU. Michigan.

  • @TLmaizeandblue Bama claims 14 national championships, Michigan claims 11. And of those 11 only 1 has come in the last 25 years. Bama has 34 bowl wins, Michigan has 20. In fact Bama has played in 18 more bowl games than Michigan. So please explain to everyone how Bama is behind Michigan as a football program.

  • Comment removed

  • @amsol977 U of M has the highest winning percentage of any team, 42 BT championships compared to Bama's 26 SEC. U of M has had 3 Heismans, compared to Bama's 1. U of M has the most wins in college football with 895, compared to 814 (still good). Michigan Stadium is the biggest stadium in college football. All of these, plus having legendary coaches like Schembechler (not rich rod) are what make Michigan the best football program with the best recruiting and more tradition than any other.

  • @amsol977 Also. Michigan has had 77 All-Americans compared to Bama's 47. IF you want to continue to talk numbers.

  • @TLmaizeandblue And the best fight song "The Victors" John Philip Sousa said it, not just me.

  • @TLmaizeandblue Ok, Michigan has won 81 more games than Bama, yet has 18 less bowl appearences. In bowl games, Michigan has a .487 record in Bowl games, compared to Bama's .602 record. Bama has played in and won more bowl games that any other program in college football. Bama has won more championships than any other program. Where I'm from those are the numbers that matter.

  • @amsol977 How about the 1-2 record that Bama has against Michigan? Haha you're only get people to agree with you if they've only watched football beginning in 2008.

  • @TLmaizeandblue Haha, you'll only get people to agree with you if they stopped watching footbal in 1997. And do you honestly believe that 3 head to head games is a true measure of two programs? And congrats on another greatest in the history of college football. The greatest upset of all time. Do you still have nightmares about that blocked fieldgoal?

  • Comment removed

  • @amsol977No The fact that you're on Michigan videos just shows how worried you are about the Cowboy Classic in week 1. Go Blue!! Tide rolled.

  • @TLmaizeandblue and just to be clear, Bama still had more championships and bowl wins than Michigan prior to 2008. But guess what, wouldn't trade the last two crystal balls for the 08-11 Michigan record any day of the week. Because despite all of Bama's history, at least they're still winning championships.

  • @amsol977 Haha the 2008-2010 seasons is the only defense that anyone has against Michigan. Michigan is 35-9-1 against the SEC.

  • @amsol977 big ten teams were not allowed in bowl games other than the rose bowl until 1975.

  • @amsol977 yeah, except the big 10 teams could only play in Rose Bowls for a majority of their history. So get your facts straight. And yes, we (michigan) still have a winning record- by a long shot- against the SEC. But if you're only looking at the last 10 years, then congrats, you've effectively picked a convenient case study. Must be that 'bama education.

  • Sure looked like the ball hit the ground and moved... And since the call on the field was incomplete, no way that can be overturned

  • they just dident want to loose at home

  • THAT WAS A CATCH....MICHIGAN SHOULD HAVE BEEN 11-1 THIS YEAR

  • @bballbeast100 Really? Because im pretty sure danny coale made that exact same catch in the sugar bowl

  • @nickcast105 false. Coale had two things working against him. Possession AND being inbounds. He had NEITHER after review. That call was reversed by neutral refs. Do you know how hard it is to overturn plays nowadays? Hemingway made this catch.

  • @bballbeast100 umm? if they caught the ball and was ruled a TD it wasnt a game winning catch, it was a 6 point play, that they would still have to get a 2 point conversion and at most tie into overtime.....so it wouldnt of gave them another win even if it was complete

  • This was a catch by Hemingway for a Michigan TD and the VT player in the Sugar Bowl DID NOT catch that pass for a TD. It's that simple. GO BLUE Michigan #1!

  • @wolverine974801 You're exactly right. The ball clearly moved in the virginia tech game and it didnt for the wolverines in this game.

  • @wolverine974801 Hahahaha omg so biased. The guy even says at the end of the video "The reason the play stands is because they dont have enough video evidence" Danny Coale actually made the catch and there wasnt any video evidence that he didnt catch it.

  • @nickcast105 Funny, they look like the same replay...only different spots in the end zone. Say what you want, but Coale's ball hit the ground and moved just as much, if not more, than Hemingway's. Bias is a funny thing...it goes both ways!

  • i was at that game the energy in the stadium was just amazing. Go Hawks!

  • That is incomplete 100%. You want to see someone get robbed of a TD by refs, see 2012: VT gets robbed of TD vs. Michigan.

  • @BillyBong05 u wish

  • WTF

  • I still don't understand how Hemmingway can grab it with one hand, bring it to his chest, put both arms around it, and its not a catch.

Thrill, listen to it your precious Nut announcer, it can touch the ground as long as it doesn't move. This was pure robbery for Michigan to have the chance to tie the game with a 2 point attempt. In the Sugar Bowl there was the same thing, only you could see the tip of the ball move, which means that is not a catch.

  • @Journeyon71 My bad, haha

  • @Journeyon71 i couldn't have said it better myself.

  • Wait, wait...COLLEGE GAMEDAY saying MICHIGAN got robbed?!?! I wonder what they were smoking when they posted this? Cuz if they were sober, the title would be something like "Why are you watching this game when there are $ec games on?"

  • no this isn't a touchdown he's not holding it, and it hits the ground.

  • Nut's and bolts we got screwed

  • i'm a michigan fan for my whole life and this isn't a TD, but i still think its complete HORSESHIT

    fuck iowa

  • for all those saying the vt guy had more control... I dont think he had more control when you can watch the ball move when danny coale made the catch. there isnt any movement when hemmingway catches this ball

  • Michigan fan. This was not a catch and neither was the one in the VT game

  • @Tigersfan829

Michigan fan here, this was a TD and the VT one was for sure a catch.

  • @BalsamicPork The VT one was not a catch at all. This one I don't know about.

  • @DealerCamel i don't know how you could say that. the VT guy had more control of the ball than this guy.

  • @germandrummer13 Nope, not at all. Check the frame-by-frame of the VT guy.

  • @Tigersfan829 youre a michigan fan? The Michigan Tigers?

  • this was the right call, however the call vs virginia tech was the wrong call.

  • @germandrummer13 You are wrong its the same exact thing......If this one wasnt a catch then the VT one wasnt either.........Just because you dont like a team doesnt mean the rules change..

  • @germandrummer13 LOL no

  • Comment removed

  • Disclaimer: I am a VT fan. I thought this was a catch the whole way. He had possession, ball didn't move, knee OBVIOUSLY down. However, I see where the ref is coming from. It was ruled incomplete, they said not enough evidence to overturn (WRONG, he had possession and knee was down). Same thing should have happened in the Sugar Bowl - it was ruled a touchdown, call should have stood - not enough evidence to overturn. Oh well, congratulations Michigan you still deserved to win :)

  • @PAhokie09 I like this guy ^

  • @PAhokie09 They did not deserve to win...

  • @ConsumingFire39 How did they not deserve to win???

  • @PAhokie09 That was a great Sugar Bowl. VT has a lot of talent coming back for 2012...your QB will be a great one. Wish you guys best of luck for the upcoming season...maybe VT and Michigan will play again in Miami for the 2012 BCS title.

  • @wolverine974801 yea right

  • Okay, how can people argue that this was a catch but Virginia Tech's OT catch wasn't a catch? Unreal...

  • @FUZZYxFRUITx well i thought both were catches michigan fan i dont rember seeing one game this year where the refs didnt mess up a call they were really terrible at the end of the season and even worse in the bowl games

  • Back Side view says it all. This is perfect for crying VT fans hahah POUR SOME SUGAR ON ME!!!!!

  • his arms were under the ball when it hit the ground

  • It's ok, we're just storing up karma for the reversed TD call against VT...

  • WHO GIVES A FUCK ABOUT THIS! SUGAR BOWL CHAMPS BABY!!!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • No. That wasn't a touchdown and the call was correct. I can't stand the Hawks at all, but the ball hit the ground and aided in the "catch". Which means it's not a catch. And there was not enough evidence to overturn the initial call.

  • I am not going to say that the ref was paid...But that def was a td no question..

It doesnt mean that michigan would have won the game but i dont see how iowa fans can say that was not a td...it seems very obvious from the video that it was a td..what i dont understand is how the hell the ref who as right next to the action called that not a td???

  • If any of you knew anything about football, the ball can touch the ground as long as the receiver maintains possession and the ball does not wobble, neither of which happened here. Im not saying we would have won, but we would have had a chance. If it had been ruled a TD initially, I think it would have stood.

  • Those refs can't save Iowa or any other B1G team from here on out. No more Rich-rod to hold us back......Michigan is going to destroy this conference for years to come.

  • I would rather a team get rob from a TD by a bad call on the field than a horrible call from review. It was a no TD on the field. Although the review showed it was a TD, it should still stand No TD.Same formula in the MSU Wisconsin, should have been No TD. Throw the TD review away PLEASE just let them play out. We dont need Technodependance in NCAA .

  • The only reason the Iowa fans here are saying we bitch when we dont win, is cause they know it was a catch and we should have had the touchdown, but oh well the blind refs fucked up another call. Michigan will shred iowa next year

  • This replay is not about inbound versus out of bounds.....it is about possession. He clearly bobbled the ball on the way to the ground, and the ball touched the turf without his hands underneath. For it to be a catch, he would have had to control it all the way and/or not allowed the ball to touch before his hands/body.

  • i dont understand how one person would think this is a complete pass when half of the ball hits the ground, sorry bitchigan cant beat the hawks. HAWKEYENATION.

  • hahahaha its funny cause the ball hit the ground. robbed my ass, michigan is just mad that they got beat by an un-ranked team

  • @dustysnipe69 their fans reach, grasp, clutch at every straw they can find when they are drowning. Surprised they didnt try to blame the clock like they did with Sparty one time!!

  • @dustysnipe69 It's funny because the KNEE is down in the endzone before his arms even hit the ground, not to mention part of the ball hits OUT OF BOUNDS while in his hands though but if the knee is down and there's no doubt he had control of the ball it's a touchdown.

  • but it was reviewed so play stsnds...

  • bad call just like michigan didn't get credit against usc in rose bowl

  • I love how everyone forgets that Michigan still had to get the two point conversion for a tie and the fact they couldn't get the ball in the end zone in like what 6 or 7 plays. This play did not determine the game. Just gives Bitchigan something to complain about.

  • @pollittstephen love how michigan's records better

  • @TheRunefan Isn't Michigan supposed to be some big badass football team. Michigan sucks anymore. Good job you got a mediocre record that not worth shit. Oh well

  • @pollittstephen so are you a ohio fan because if you are you have no room to talk.

  • @pollittstephen See how Michigan fans WHINE? They still would have had to get a 2-point conversion to even TIE the game..I've been putting up with their clueless whining for years as a Michigan State fan. They are still in denial that we've beaten them 4 years in a row and we OWN their sorry asses!!

  • @pollittstephen So it seems you ARE admitting that it is a touchdown! It doesn't matter right now in time about what would have happened on the 2 pt. conversion, the fact that they couldn't even ATTEMPT one is where the bullshit is. It should have either went into OT or Michigan loses by 2 points. Either way, Michigan was robbed, it's a shitty call by the refs, and I'm a Packers fan so I know ALL about screwjobs.

  • @pollittstephen A small chance is better than no chance, son

  • looked like a catch to me....guess the refs didn't feel like working overtime that Saturday.

  • @bglions2001 yea thy wanted to go home to see #1 vs #2

  • as a Buckeye, i say catch...but SUCKS. HAHAHAH

  • The title of this video is complete GARBAGE. Michigan wasn't robbed of anything. They played like total shit the first 3 and a half quarters of this game, and didn't deserve to win. Besides, the pass was incomplete. Michigan fans, do everyone a favor and STOP YOUR BITCHING. I guess people call you guys "Bitchigan" for a reason.

  • :13 Ball his ground- reindiputable proof the hand are under the ball + NO COMPLETE PASS! IOWA wins again!!! GO HAWKS!!!!!!!

  • that was complete BULLSHIT!

  • your right, your absolutely right, i'm gonna stop before i get raped by you, nice pic bro, i bet all the litlle girls are subbed to you.

  • So on the field they ruled out of bounds, that was clearly wrong. We are supposed to give the call on the field the benefit of the doubt though? They clearly got the inbounds or not call wrong, why should indisputable evidence be needed to show he held on?

  • This play is going to be reviewed by the big ten

  • foooooooooooooozzzzzzzzzzzzball, make me go zzzzzzzzzzzz

  • im saying the ball never moved because the ball hit the ground

  • the debate in the play is not did he have full possesion or was his knee down. the debate is when the ball hit the ground it did it move because it hit the ground? in my mind no. but i can see why they didnt overturn the call. so the booth was right but the official on the field missed the call. all i know for sure is if they had called it a td no one would be debating that it was incomplete.

  • The ball can touch the ground but the ball cannot assist in the player catching the ball. It's not as if the player had complete control then went to the ground. He was still trying to get it and it hit the ground. Of course the biased Michigan fans will disagree.

  • @jcline87 if he was still trying to gain control how come his arms werent moving when he was going down?

  • Lions get screwed. Michigan gets screwed. Redwings get screwed. And the tigers play get screwed by the queerest baseball team - texas

  • That was such a touchdown!

  • @sldnx800r At what point does he loose control?! and besides it's not just one knee down it's a foot then a knee hit's the ground and then ball readjusted after rolling over! catch? I think soo!

  • I'm a michigan fan. At first, during the game when they replayed it, i thought no catch. but now I think it is. the rule says that the ball can hit the ground as long as you have control. he had complete control and one knee down. should be a touchdown. but it doesn't change the fact that michigan didn't play well enough. i just hope this is a basis for these kind of calls from now on. touchdown.

  • both feet werent down

  • @BricezBB you definitely only need on in college...

  • @BricezBB oh my god, look at the COLLEGE RULES,NFL RULES.cmon

  • He trapped the ball. Not a catch.

  • the ball can hit the ground as long as it doesn't move...and he didn't jump (one of his feet never left the ground) just saying lol

  • Why is everyone argueing even if it was ruled a touchdown and michigan got the extra point the scorew would have been 23 to 24 with Iowa still winning? im so confused

  • @Qiu0618 2 point conversion dawg

  • And why wouldn't they go for two?

  • @TheArthrighteous ahhhhhhhhh true

  • @Qiu0618 you are retarded!!

  • @Qiu0618 They would have went for a 2-point conversion after the TD. The TD makes the score 22-24 in favor of Iowa, therefore if Michigan can convert a 2-point conversion after the TD it ties the game.

  • this was incomplete end of story

  • @Toyeas He probably isn't an Ohio State fan because Ohio State fans wouldn't be able to spell those words correctly, let alone know what 'sickening' or 'hatred' means or use it correctly in a sentence. And as you can see, I am NOT an Ohio State Fan and I agree with him 99.9%. I like ESPN, but there can be complete assholes who work for ESPN.

  • @MPetrozzalsGod THANK YOU!

  • ESPN sucks. To even act like that was Michigan getting robbed is sickening. Their hatred for Ohio State has them blind. No catch. Read the rule book closer Michigan crybabies and ESPN.

  • @MPetrozzaIsGod Ohio state fan much?

  • @Toyeas Indeed, I am a Buckeye fan. The game could have been between 2 high school teams and I still think that it was an incomplete pass. It just makes me sick that all of the Wolverines' fans act as if it was a catch and it wasn't even close. If that was a catch, it was certainly a very close call. These Michigan fans act like this was the worst blown call in history. The only way it would have been a catch at all is if his hands were under the ball when the ball went to the ground.

  • @MPetrozzaIsGod now who the fuck is saying whoever posted this is a wolverines fan. they were just showing people that it was indeed a catch, could have been reviewed from more angles and it might have been complete and dumbasses like you are all "oh, ohio state is better than everyone"...thats what you and your dumb ass probably thinks, step off me bro

  • @Toyeas What in the hell are you talking about? I posted something and you post back meaningless garbage? Take a valium or something. I never said anything about Ohio Sate being better than anyone. You came her to argue and cuss and call names. Grow up! Step off me bro? I said nothing bad about you at all. Go screw yourself and go cry to someone else. READ MY POSTS and argue with someone else...then go to hell, mouth. Quit fighting about it. I speak the truth, not what I think. GFY and die.

  • Good thing we have youtube to resolve this conflict. Once we get out answer from the veiwers we can talk the the ncaa about how the got the call correct/incorrect and they can fix the issue................................... Or maybe we cant and talking about it after the fact makes us look sad and desparate for attention.

  • 4 downs to get 3 yards. You have a QB that can't throw, but is probably the quickest and most elusive player on the field....what do you do?

  • the ball CLEARLY hit the ground as you can see at 0:10 . so yeah michigan you can go shove that up your ass

  • @dustysnipe69 It doesn't MATTER IF IT HIT THE GROUND AS LONG AS THE PLAYER has control and he obviously maintained control after hitting the ground!

  • that is a touchdown clear as day

  • The refs missed a good game...

  • even though it wasnt a catch i still gotta give him props nice concentration on the ball.

  • that was a touchdown 100% they were ripped off ugh it makes me so made they could've had a chance to win

  • Ya I was watching this game. Really intense.\

  • You probably thought that was a touchdown, nope its just chuck testa

  • The point is the ref said "the ruling on the field stands," not confirmed. The original call was an incompletion and there was not enough evidence to confirm nor deny the catch.

  • Who really cares is michigan even relevant?

  • watch his right hand (the one the ball was in) as he's rolling over after hitting the ground, he didnt maintain control when he hit the ground, therefore good call

  • The ball can touch the ground as long as you have control... But you can't trap it against the ground or use the ground to gain possesion. 0:28 has possesion in the air no bobble TOUCHDOWN.

  • Robbery

  • what a terrible call!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • what the fuck

  • its clearly touches the ground, the replay says it all....... no touchdown.

  • @justinandrewhoward it did touch the ground, but it looks like the ball was stiff and didn't move, him having control of the ball, but I understand how it could have gone either way

  • @justinandrewhoward Do you know the rule? The rule states, "The ball can touch the ground as long as the receiver maintains possession of the ball," which he clearly did. Therefore, it should have been a touchdown.

  • @ILoveTorriesPuppies What? I know the rule...and saying that he CLEARLY maintained possession of the ball is ludicrous. If he had caught the ball on first contact and then the ball hadn't hit the ground without his hands underneath it, you would have a point. Since that isn't the case, you don't have a point. Michigan sucks in November...get used to it.

  • It's a touchdown, refs fucked us, what's new.

  • GO HAWKS three years in a row.

  • touchdown

  • Incomplete. End of story. I don't know how anyone could even argue it as being a catch when it clearly shows the ball touching the ground and moving when it touches the ground.

  • @heyyy19

It's more arguing that if the ref shouldn't have called it incomplete from the get-go. Even the announcers said the only reason it wasn't overturned was because of a "lack of evidence." If the refs didn't need to be 125% sure, it would have been a touchdown. Knee down, no ball squirming, forearm under ball. Touchdown.

How about we reward some effort every once in awhile, and even more so when its the right thing to do.

  • Good call, ball hit the ground.

  • To all the people complaining or making comments about why they were throwing the ball and not running. There were 15 seconds left and no time out so if a runner got tackled short of the td the clock would prolly have run out before they could set up another play or spike it. Throwing gave them the most chances at a successful play from the 3 yd line.

  • GO STATE!!!!!!!!

  • no control of the ball.. and throwing it instead of running it in just shows that Michigan coaching has no faith in the front line, to throw it that many times from the 2 yrd line....

  • @meanguy53571 They only had 19 seconds left with NO timeouts. Why would you run the ball? Doesn't make any sense. They could have taken the chance to run it and get stuffed only to down the ball to lose another chance at the end zone. I agree with you if they have a timeout but not when you don't have any.

  • Why the hell did mich pass on all 4 plays from the 2yard line smh

  • @iEmbarcadero no timeouts left with less than 1 minute to go. if they didnt get the score on a runing play then time would run. its smart to call 4 passes even if u need 2 yards.

  • why are there more msu haters on here than iowa and michigan fans? lol

  • Just another example of how replay can be a total waste of time. Replay officials have to have eyes, or else there is no point reviewing anything.

  • @Premier67

I strongly believe that both coaches instead of referees should get together instead of referees and review the play. That should build sportsmanship... or coach fighters.

  • 13 second mark...clearly he trapped a ball that he had not shown to have been in control of. Somehow Michigan fans know more about the rules than the person paid to review the play

  • great call by the official..... ball hit the ground, no complete control at the time

  • @occlude32

cuz u ca n clearly see he doesnt have control. there was no evidence proving it was incomplete but no evidence ruling it complete shitty camera angles

  • His arm is clearly under the ball lol. Pause it at 12 seconds. he has complete control before he hits the ground, Thats why when the nose of it hits it doesnt move at all, only compresses up against his arm as seen at 22 and 31 seconds. A lot of sparty trolls on here hahaha.

  • he had possession of the ball when he was officially down which was when his foot and knee had hit the ground, the ball was not moving until he had struck the ground, it was a touchdown, but, we still would have had to make a 2 point conversion

  • Could have been ruled a TD, but they wouldnt have gotten the 2 pt conversion

  • Lol that is clearly not a catch. Go read the rules of football, you can't trap it against the ground.

    GO GREEN!

  • Touchdown. Doesn't matter if the nose of the ball hits the ground, his arm is under it and the ball didn't move after contact, while his knee was still down.

  • Haha...Go State!!
