  • back to school was Rodney and Sam's were finest moments

  • I just realized that he just pretty much said bruce almighty when he said he'd be misusing those powers, something tells me he probably came up with the idea for bruce almighty

  • hasnt been in alot recently

  • jim is great at stand up & in movies

  • @5janine18 didn't laugh once at Jim..not funy

  • wow . . . Jim Carrey predicted his lead role in 'Bruce Amighty' - which didn't happen until about a decade later . . . interesting!

  • You guys are right. Jim Carrey's magic is on the movie screen. Not stand up comedy. I miss Sam. He was great.

  • 6:15 ,,,about 14ish years later.... you will.

  • the part with Jim wasn't funny

  • @ Raventoll: I agree, Jims standup = Godwin. He really does need to fucking do it more.

  • God, I miss Sam too!

  • he's got the same short fuse as that fat guy from snl.can't be good for the heart.

  • is there a jim concert dvd . imagine seeing him before his movie career and thinking he's not that funny.oops!!

  • I find it hard to believe Sam thought that dumbass routine was remotely funny.

  • The 12 has stopped flashing!!! Thumbs up if you got that one!

  • @meanmoegel Common Sense!

  • That messiah bit got him Bruce Almighty? Duuuuuuuuude...

  • so this is where jim got the idea to do bruce almighty

  • nice shirt, Jim

  • you were my boy sam, peace

  • I didn't like the Jim bit.

Sam was the man and would of gave Jim a pitty laugh for that bit.

  • @Lvduggo69 Have you ever heard of cult of personality? Sam Kinison was that. Jim carrey - objectively - is much funnier then he was.

  • Haha wow. A vcr joke. This was a while ago.

  • This was before Bruce Almighty lol

  • was this before ace ventura

  • @superwomanfilms

Yes, this is from Back To School, and it came out in 1989.

  • @jreily88 No it was 1986

  • @tonyrobin31

    yeah you're right. My mistake.

  • @jreily88 No it was 1986

  • he was the best

  • SAY IT!!!!!!SAY IT!!!!!!!!

  • For instance, a lot of you didn't know this but, Sam was in terrific physical condition. He used to say to me, "Jim, long distance running, that's the key!" He hated confrontation of any kind. And other comics took advantage of that. They'd push him down, steal his beret, "Come on Sam!" I'd say, "Sam, come on, you gotta get mad!" and he's say, "No! People from Oklahoma just don't do that." Shy retiring, never quick to judge. That's the Sam I knew. And I'm sorry if that bursts your damn bubble!

  • "My psychiatrist says I have a messiah complex, but I forgive him." LOL

  • thanks for this

  • so awsum

  • jim pitching bruce almighty here...

  • @000EatMan000 Don't know where you figure that Jim is pitching Bruce Almighty in 1993? Bruce Almighty wasn't filmed until 2002 and released in 2003. Jim was making reference to Sam being a former real life revival preacher.

  • @slopitch27 just a joke because of the similarity

  • hes from illinois so TO BAD CARRY

  • resurection time for sam

  • Was that Sam's mom at 9:32?

  • @squrilleyboy

    Yes indeed. Marie Kinison.

  • Rest in peace, Sam. We love you, brother.

  • SAM KINISON WAS ONE OF THE GREATEST COMEDIANS OF MY GENERATION

AND HE WAS ONE OF THE MOST CRAZIEST BASTARDS IN COMEDY

REST IN PEACE SAMMY AND GOD BLESS!!!!

  • i watched weapons of mass hysteria by robin williams omg he can still rock

  • What's a V.C.R?

  • @Bearimy Bahaha something people over 15 remember.

  • Bruce Almighty what 10 yrs laters

  • ................Love It.........

  • It saddens me to think that the modern generations are missing out on so much, for example, many of the younger set don't understand the whole "The twelve has stopped flashing!" bit. Maybe I'm just getting old...

  • LMFAOOOOO @ The beginning!

    Berading the girl

  • @RastafariPoet Lol that's in the movie "Back to School."

  • I wish Jim would do a little more stand up. He's brilliant!

  • @Raventoll does he still do any standup ?

  • @Frankenpalin Not in a long time. The most recent full-on standup special I've seen was Unnatural Act... and that was ancient history. Someone feel free to let me know if there was anything more recent. He's incredibly talented, but he's largely put touring away in favor of movies. It's a shame he doesn't to the Robin Williams thing and still do a little standup tour and DVD every now and then.

  • @Raventoll ppl do standup to hit the bigtime asswipe, not after they have

  • @jayrobson88 Some comics will do stand up their entire careers because they love it. Working without a safety net. Live comedy separates the wheat from the chaff in the comedy world. Guys like Chris Rock, George Carlin, Richard Jeni, Richard Pryor, Jerry Seinfeld and Sam Kinison were true stand-up comedians.

Sure, some go the way of Jim Carrey, Eddie Murphy, and Steve Martin, but most love that live spotlight. Jim is great, and I hope he does have a tour again sometime before he's done.

  • @Raventoll I don't think Jim will ever go back to slumming it doing stand up. He is still trying to win that elusive Oscar...the path of Robin Williams and Tom hanks.

  • @biffbyford It's a shame. He went from being a great stand-up comedian to a movie-comedy actor to a serious actor, but I honestly think Unnatural Act is a more brilliant piece of work than Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.

  • It depressed me and my friends for 2 weeks when we found out he died. Still can't believe it.

  • Love this, Jim's great

  • I miss Sam fuck

  • And then Jim Carrey did Bruce Almighty lol

  • How lame! A tribute aired on HBO would've been more like it!

  • sam rules,saw him live!

  • A great saluting a great.

    God, I miss Sam.

  • @Soleman92 I agree. He was an amazing comic. There aren't many people, comics, rock stars, or even "rebels" have the balls to say what he said, how he said it. He was a fucking amazing man.
