  • What a damn shame that this never came to be. Richard Hatch obviously had his finger on the pulse of the fans! It looks, and feels, like the original series (Galactica 1980, aside) with updated FX. Very cool to see that John Colicos would have came back as Baltar, too! I applaud you, Mr. Hatch, for your valiant attempt. Too bad the studios didn't share your vision. Thank you for your effort, sir!

  • Richard Hatch is the real Captain Apollo

  • I heard of this a long time ago when Richard Hatch tried, by himself, to get BG back up. He made a film, I guess this is it, to show only to producers. He failed to convince them and that was the end. I read that the film was never meant to be seen by the public. It should have been. Richard would have gotten a legion of fans to back him up. Compared to the new BG, I really miss the old stuff. At least it had heart and actors!

  • I had heard about this a long time ago when Richard Hatch took it upon himself to try and get BG back up. He had made a film but only showed it to the 'powers that be' and never meant it to be released tot he public, so it was said. It's a shame this didn't make public at the time, he would have had a huge group of fans helping him out in convincing whoemever needed convincing that it would have been at least money maker if not a great show (or just movie)

  • I never heard about this until today, now why didn't THIS version come out instead of that shitty new battlestar galactica series?

  • Wow.. I really hate to say this, but given what an awesome job I think Ron Moore did with BSG, I'm glad this never made it off the ground. Ron's rendition may never have come to pass. I've watched the entire series three times now, and I still get chills up my spine with certain scenes. The man is a genius.

  • i have to give it thumbs up, we love the action, absolutely awsome

  • J aimerai le voir j ai tous les anciens quelq un pourrait me dire quand il arrive on france?

  • wow, I never saw this before. that would have been an AWESOME show! too bad internal company politics and corporate greed ruined a great show. I watched a few short clips of the reimagined BSG and about 15 minutes of the beginning of the first episode. I was so disgusted with it I couldn't watch any more than that. Talk about SHALLOW!!! I saw NO BSG in it whatsoever. The should have given it some other title instead of trying to steal the BSG name. The reimagined series was NOT BSG!!!

  • @mrbubetube I don't think 15 minutes is enough to judge...just sayin'.

  • Action Stations! Set Condition One throughout the ship! Launch Viper squadrons! This is not a drill!

  • The frakk is this!!!????!!!!!

  • that need a man there to save them every time they do somthing but in real life that is not true thats why they made starbuck a woman and id say they did a dam good job of that dont get me wrong the new one will never beat out the old ones but i got to say the CGI used in the new ones is way better then what i have seen in many moives for a long time and you also got to remmber the the new battlestar galactica is a sci fi drama/action/mistory as well and for it being that they did good

  • if someone where to take on the new one i can tell you this the CGI word be much better then in this 4 min clip and it word be nice to see how they take all the worlds they have lost and to let you know the new school battlestar galactica was ment for the new gen. thats why it is so far off from the old one plus the new one was also ment to show that woman can be heros to because in the old and way to many of the new shi fi and even other types of shows and moives they show woman as weak things

  • sorry but is this fan made?

  • @ismcb4sc You could call it such.

  • He mortgaged his house for that? LOL!

  • I never seen so many people in love with such campy garbage.

  • Universal Sucks for not taking this one on! I don't care for the new version, in all it's blonde pornified glory, one damn bit...! LONG LIVE RICHARD HATCH!---Johnny.

  • @0zed119 This would have been shit.

  • the new skool BSG is Bull Shit Gangrape of the original ... totally fucktard producer & script writer.... i bet those guys never watch any episode of the original ... Richard Hatch would have done a better if not an excellent job with the 2nd coming ...this 4 mins is totally cool: i rather watch this 4 mins a million times than 1 min of the new skool thrash !!

  • Ouch....That was terrible....

  • RICHARD HATCH!!! ---How in the pits of Kobol did those idiotic suits not go for this wonderful adaption you concieved!!?? I was only 10 when BSG came out. I currently keep you all alive in my Roleplaying Group Game. I would rather have seen YOUR vision made fact, than that semi-shameful re-hash! ---Love you and all you've made me. ---Lt.John Burton, Blue Squadron.

  • Shame Hatch sold out and hopped in bed with Ron Moore's rape of the franchise.

  • Too bad this trailer never got picked up. 1978 Battlestar was the best sci fi series ever made.

  • interesting plot lines at beginning...i think maybe someone lifted his ideas for the new series...not surprized..hollywood is so unoriginal

  • Thanks for sharing.

How did this NOT get made...that was the most incredible teaser of something that never made it to full production that I have ever seen. What a missed oppourtunity!

  • @aac729 Larson has just gotten the green light for his own Battlestar Galactica movie. The two most popular rumors are either a continuation or a reboot thats more faithful to the original.

  • @ReverendSyn Larson is sticking with the original format. He is getting help from Bryan Singer and Tom DeSantos of X-Men fame.DeSantos is a big fan of the original in making the feature film.

  • @Isotec1 So it's going to be a continuation?

  • @ReverendSyn I haven't talked to Stu Phillips who did the music for the original in several months. But he is upset at Richard for using the music track in The Second Coming without his permission. He hadn't told me whether Glen's project is a continuation, but he is sticking to the original format. If Universal Studios isn't interested in releasing Glen's project in the theatres,it may come out on DVD only. But there is talk FOX want Galactica to replace the X-Files and they want Larson's version.

  • @Isotec1 Can't say I blame Stu for being angry.

As much as I once respected Hatch's efforts, some of his novels weren't THAT great. The later ones after he sold out to the new show seemed to be him reworking Glens story to reflect RDMs more.

I have no faith or respect for Tricky Dicky anymore. He's obsolete now as far as maintaining the original goes.

  • There must be some kind of way out of here...

  • This single 4 minute trailer is better than all 4 seasons of new BSG combined.

  • Lol...poor Dirk Benedict! He couldn't even get cast as Starbuck in this dud, but they kept talking about him! I was watching the clock at like 2:34 wishing it was over. Bad news.

  • @Allen2saint I think Dirk was busy elsewhere at the time Hatch filmed this

  • That viper at 1:39 is wicked, now i know where the viper vii came from

  • What are you all smoking? That was laughable.

  • a did bazaar died in the 70s too, you cant beat the real thing.too bad they didn't make a TV show.they would be a hit now.

  • omg this was amazing

  • @aradioactivedonut : Well, yes and no. Remember, it was produced in 1978 - (maybe shot in late '77?) and Star Wars was THE most popular property in the WORLD at that time. Every studio wanted something with a space ship in it. If not for Star Wars, Paramount wouldn't have revived Star Trek. So, if you know the history, the original BG was based on an old pilot. It was lucky enough to have ILM handle the FX so, it had the Star Wars "look". Storyline was NOTHING like Star Wars, though.

  • @dancingdog60 Galactica is not a Star Wars ripoff.Larson had Galactica written nearly 10 years before Star Wars was made but Universal Studios wasn't at first interested in his project.

  • @Isotec1 Originally conceived as "Adam's Ark" 10 years before Star Wars, it wasn't a ripoff-HOWEVER, The project went through many changes to make it as "Star-Wars"-like as possible. 1st , the name was changed to "Star Worlds" and there were characters with names like "Jack Starkiller" in it. Larson even hired Ralph Mcquarrie and ILM to design the look of the series - obviously to make it look like Star Wars. Back in 1968, you know "Adams Ark" would have looked more like "Lost in Space".

  • Now This would have been something to see! Not like that stupid, boring re-make with Horrible casting!

Yet Another reason that I am glad I got Out of the Business years ago!

    ^^X^^

  • By gods this would have been awesome.

  • This would have been much better than what eventually was produced. The actual remake was popular - but, it really should have been called something else. To me, it wasn't "Battlestar Galactica". Oh well...maybe next time the people who own the rights will stick closer to the original series.

  • @dancingdog60 The original one seemed like a star wars ripoff to me.

  • Yeah, this would have been awesome if they could have gotten the rights and a decent budget. The Sci-Fi Channel version was overrated...and not campy enough.

  • This footage was Jon Colicos' last acting scene before he died. According to Hatch (when I saw him many years ago at I-Con, Stony Brook), they had about 3 or so minutes of him in front of a blue screen which they could insert somewhere if they needed to. And they were going to use old footage of Lorne Greene as a hologram in the computer's memory banks -- they said they had a way of altering the dialogue to make it new.

    This would have rocked.

  • I really liked the Scifi Channel remake myself, but this would have been seriously awesome.

  • If they would have made Hatch's version? That would have been the best apology for "Galactica:1980". But from what I read about this, Larsen put up a stink about this "intellectual property" and all that garbage. What did the fans end up with? That craptastic, soapy novella on SyFy. >(

  • Ah, awesomeness that never was. Sad.

  • The new BSG should have been more like this. Less drama. Less slow scenes. WAY more action and excitement. That;s why I watched the old series!

  • I REALLY wish this had been produced !! Granted what SciFi did was nice, I think this would have been an even darker version that would have been more familar to the fans, young and older alike.

  • oh awesome a whole cast of graduates from the William Shatner School of Acting and members of the Science Fiction and Processed Cheese Society. Hey Originalman320 Simon was Black and there were other Black actors as well as alot of diversity in the cast. Thank the Gods for BSG:Reboot...better story line AND acting. Hatch made a good dirty politician/anarchist though.

  • this is what the new BSG should have been....it rocks!! where as the new BSG is just plain Crappy!!

  • @TheRagManSmiles Crappy as in Best show on TV in 2005 according to Time Magazine, Peabody award winner, winner of multiple Emmies for not just FX but also writing?

You know this isn't actually too far off what nuBSG did. Cylons return, they have evolved... new breed etc.

  • @Nemesis000000 Crappy as in It was soo bad that even myself (a 45 year veteran of sci-fi and television lover) have to stop watching it as it made me seriously think about getting rid of my TV for good.

it was like watching Eastenders in space...they took something great and corrupted it into a tedious space soap....that's what I mean by crappy...and I don't read Time magazine as I like to make up my own mind and my mind says 'CRAPPY!!'

  • @TheRagManSmiles You are of course entitled to that opinion, but you should refrain from saying it as if it's the majority opinion.

  • @Nemesis000000 Majority opinion??? i said the new BSG is just plain crappy...how is that using majority opinion? now if I'd said everyone believes it's just plain crap that would be different, but I didn't ...you really should learn the meaning of terms like Majority before you embarrass yourself further....tut tut tut...LOL

  • @TheRagManSmiles I just think it's proper form when expressing a minority opinion to either say "in my opinion" or "imo", or if you don't wanna be that concilatory, say something like "I don't get why most people liked this, I think it sucks" to properly represent what people really think. Someone who has never seen nuBSG might see your comment and get the wrong impression about the show as it pertains to the audience in general. But maybe that's just me.

  • I'll say one thing about the original, which I love dearly. At least Boomer and Tigh were Black men. I never saw Black people on the new one, what little I watched of it.

  • Too bad Lorne Greene (Adama) is dead. So is John Colicos (Baltar), and Lloyd Bridges (Cain).

  • @LawnboyBaker Respectfully disagree. I've become a huge opponent of 're-imagining.' Initially, I looked forward to the '03 series, until I'd seen what they did with the stories and characters my generation had come to admire. Hatch's vision of the continuation of the saga was more of what my generation was looking for, and BSG was made for my generation. Today's young producers need to quit 're-imagining' what was made before their time and come up with something original.

  • I bet if Universal Studios released this on DVD imagine the millions in revenue it would bring in

  • Have you ever fired two laser guns whilst jumping through the air?

  • This would have been a great sequel!

  • I still think that RDM may have had access to this, thus inspiring some aspects of his re - imagined BSG - New breed of Cylon, Cylon Civil War, a planet that looks a lot like New Caprica - It wouldn't have been impossible to include elements of " The Second Coming " in " re - imagined " BSG, just use more story arcs & excise some of the " cheese " of the original.

  • This looked really good to me. To bad it never made it. I bailed out on Battlestar Galactica 2004 after the 2nd season but found it once again on netflix. It was vastly improved on netflix when the commercials were removed. I am re-watching The 1978 version on netflix and it's has it's charm.

  • "You care for no one but yourself and your quest for power!" - Richard Hatch as Apollo

And then, that's what he did when he played Tom Zarek hahaha I love BSG, old and new.

  • Thank God this never happened :D

  • No way! I thought I was a fan of the old show but ever since I got into the overhauled series... I believe that old titans may be laid to rest where they belong... in our hearts. Cuz now it all seems so cheesy and ridiculous

  • 1:25 He ran away from the planets explosion? :D

  • @SternMann93 Wouldn't you?

  • Every time I see this, I get chills up and down my spine. Oh, crap, am I Cylon??? LOL! Seriously though, despite the fact that it was done in 1999, it's still outstanding. As a die-hard TOS fan, I really would love to see this come to fruition. But, no, it is not meant to be b/c the "reimagined" is so popular. What a bummer.

  • @qballrail Considering how hard Richard Hatch pushed for BSG to come back to life even if it had to be re-imagined, this trailer is something he could totally push for.

  • Maybe they'll do a remake with an alternate universe as the setting, but with a more intelligent story this one seems like it would have the potential even though it is a dated trailer with bad effects and sets the actors are using! Yes I'm sure Hatch didn't have much to make this trailer, but with today's effects perhaps it can be made special effects are much easier now with computer graphics; but must remember a mature story not a kid crap-fest please!

  • OMMFG!!!!!!!!!!!! this is exactly what my generation was hoping for, but didnt get, even tho the reboot was great... THIS SHOULD STILL HAPPEN (it wouldnt be the first time a reboot was rebooted) love live Hatch & Benedict!!!!!

  • Ah, I never like the old show. It was too campy and unrealistic. I'll stick with the new series.

  • Wait... Starbucks....A MAN!!!!!!!!!

  • this looks so much cooler than the new series!

  • OMG that trailer kicks ass!

  • amazing... and baltar was stunning! we probably have this to thank for BSG 2004

a complete remake of the concept from ground zero would be just fine with me, bring on boxy :) and daggit, hahaha... will never be able to outdo Jane Seymour, but they can try

  • amazing... and baltar was stunning!

  • I've seen this a few times. I agree with most people on here, that this one should have been made instead of the soap opera disguised as BGG that is/was on TV. I tried and I tried to watch that newer one...I just couldn't get into it at all.

Going by the looks of it, Hatch tried to keep the high morals of the original and not like something how the new Trek movie was completely lacking.

  • @WannaBeatle The problem is that you can't just do a "new" Battlestar Galactica picking up from the first one as if no time has passed. The sensibilities of the 70s are just out-of-step nowadays. It would come off as something between silly and/or morbid. It was like the last Superman movie, one done as if it was still 1983 rather than 2006. It came off as dated and even a bit macabre given that Christopher Reeve had recented died. It would have been MUCH better to just start from scratch.

  • @WannaBeatle One other thing -- the original BSG handled the whole idea of the near genocide of the human race in what is in modern eyes a completely unconvincing manner. It was treated at best as a momentary inconvenience with everyone just joining up with Papa Adama to go off and be noble. Sorry, but human beings wouldn't respond that way to such an utter disaster. The new BSG handled this bit FAR BETTER and far more convincingly even if it did get overly negative at times.

  • Original Galactica is Ripe for a Return in the Form of a Big Budget Feature Film. It would work as a Total Remake from Scratch of the Original Series , right down to the Sets, themes and Characters. But would give it Flavor and Charm would be to bring back 4 or 5 of the Original Leads as they have now Seasoned 30 years later, and have them lead a nall new Generation of Heroes on the Original Ship named Galactica as they Continue their Quest for Earth.

  • IN Galatica 1980, Apollo was dead, so is this version in between BSG and 1980?

  • @Iluthra Galactica 1980 never happened, Pamela Ewing dreamt that Season too ;)

  • @Iluthra

Galactica 1980 should essentially be thought of as expensive fan fiction.

  • @KaitainCPS - Galactica 1980 wasn't as **good** as most fan fiction ! It was a " grasping at straws " mostly piss - poor attempt to keep the original show going, & sell more models & action figures to kids.

  • @knoxvilleguy2

    No argument here.

  • @KaitainCPS - It was good if you were into flying " Viper " bikes that could travel back through time at the speed of light ( Superman did that 1st, I think..... & the original Enterprise a couple of times. ), Cylons ( 1 fake humanoid version ) landing on Earth on Halloween night & being laid low by deadly microwave ovens, & flaccid acting that could be called cheesy at best.

  • Would love to find the full promo video. Does anyone have it?

  • this would have been a much better remake than the garbage PC version that they ended up making.... too bad they couldn't get the funding for it.

  • @CE750 No thanks, I like my sci-fi to be NOT goofy and dated.

  • There was much about the old series that was corny and poorly done. But there was also much that was better than the new series. The old style cylons were better i think. The vipers were cool. I would have prefered if they carried on from the old movie and added some more adult themes and deeper story line. But it cant really be done anymore. BSG 1978 was my favorite program on tv when I was a kid.

  • I've heard much about this project & am sad it never took off as it clearly had loads of potential.

  • A little fine tuning and you got a movie. Both series just kicked ass. You know, The idea of completely different stories based on the same characters is nothing new. DC comics, Marvel comics and the movie producers of Hollywood have been doing it for years. Batman, Superman, Spiderman, and so forth have all been "re-Imagined" in television and the movies numerous times. I really hope they do a Battlestar movie based on the original series. Or even better, a series of movies......

  • That was awful. B-movie rated.

  • impressive!

  • It's ashame that none of the studios, especially Universal, didn't want to back Richard Hatch's vision for a new series. Insted we got crap with the Syfy Channel's rendition (or should I say "re-imagined") of the show.

  • @soxster101

You kidding me? BSG of Syfy was one of the best in TV of that time ffs.

Go back under ur bridge ,troll!

  • @shurednichso Uumm..you might be right but i don't think so. As usual I'm right and you are wrong! It's not a matter of opinion but fact. So while you're there setting alone in front of the computer jacking off..stick a laser toroedo up your very loose ass!

  • @soxster101

    Fuck you too ,mate ;D

And still BSG of Syfy >all.

  • If this had come to fruition, I would have watched it for sure.

  • When will they realise this on dvd ?

  • @xsf908 Lawsuit is the reason,Universal Studios will only allow Hatch to show only the trailer at the Battlestar Galactica convention.Plus he may have done this without Glen Larson's permission and using the music of Stu Phillips.Don't look for the DVD release of this anytime soon.

  • Is this an Atari 2600 video game?

  • Looks like the 2004 series took some inspiration from this.

  • You know this was kind of cool. Would have been nice to have seen them go through with it. However I am in love with the latest BSG, 3 times chronologically so far plus I play the online game. LOL You could just about do anything with that particular genre just like startrek.

  • by your command save stargate universe

  • BRING BACK SPACE 1999

  • silon voice is bad ass

  • I guess this "Second Coming" failed just like the Second Coming on May 21st, 2011 will fail. See you all on Saturday, May 22nd, huh?

  • GRAAAGH! This...THIS is what the new show SHOULDA BEEN.

    *shakes head sadly*

  • Read that Larson is "supposidly" bringing

BSG to the big screen with original series

theme, wonder if they will try and bring back

some of the original cast? Due in 2012

    Jman

  • Not bad for its time. By today's standards pretty rough, of course, but still better than the average fan-produced video. I see some ideas and concepts that seem to have been adopted into the re-imagined BSG, like evolved cyclons, transforming weapons, the new design cyclon fighters [@ 3:00]... Makes you wonder, huh?

  • @Tigadee00 - Maybe RDM cut a deal with Richard Hatch - He could use elements of " BSG : The Second Coming ", & in return, Mr. Hatch would have a recurring role on the revised BSG series.

The " new " Cylons, " new " Raiders, The settlement on the planet that they showed ( New Caprica, maybe ? ), all look like they found their way into RDM's version produced about 4 years later.

  • @knoxvilleguy2 You may be right. Even the idea of the next generation of humans facing the return of the Cyclons, sound much like the reincarnation or reboot cycle of the re-imagined series. And it's so good to see some of the old familiar faces in this 2nd Coming video. I spotted the doc, Dr Wilkes (I believe, the techno scientist?), Col. Tigh, Baltar, the villian from the BSG 1980 series (forgot his name), even the 'ghost' of Adama... Too bad Boomer isn't there.

  • @Tigadee00 - It sounds like maybe RDM borrowed some of the ideas from " The Second Coming ", but basically Original BSG also took ideas from, or at least was heavily influenced by, Star Wars, primarily. I kind of think that if they really tried, they could make a grittier version of BSG that wasn't quite as heavy on the pessimism as RDM's could be.

  • @Tigadee00 - If " The Second Coming " had " Skin - job " Cylons ( I heard that if " Galactica 1980 " had lasted, they would've had a female humanoid Cylon like Six in RDM's version ) then I could COMPLETELY believe that RDM took from it. G:1980 had a humanoid Cylon spy - Andromus - but he didn't fit in very well in the L.A. of 1980.

  • Still like the origanal better. I watched it then, I still like it better now.

  • Oh, and it should not disregard the Galatica1980 show. A logical way could be found to tie the two together. Sure, the 80s show was not perfect, but it shouldn't be ignored.

  • They should really make a movie of this for SyFy. Just a mini-series or something. It woulod sell like gangbusters on DVD! The original 80s series deserves a good closure. Use this 1999 footage at the start of the film, and then jump another 10 years into the future... It can't be that hard to work something out with SAG!

  • Sucks it never made full production, looked like a winner to me havin' the original cast back with some new people!

  • Too bad this vision didn't come to pass.

  • SYFY is run by mindless idiots! This would have been awesome!! I have zero interest in the new series made by people who have to whore off other people's creativity. Thank you Richard Hatch for trying and giving us a glimpse of your greatness. This even looks better than all the new Star Wars films. Maybe it can still happen. Studios are rehashing films that are not even 10 years old now. Go theatrical Hatch! To hell with syfy!

  • @lynxvosmia So you're passing judgment upon something you haven't seen?

  • @HyruleWeirdo I tried watching it a couple of times. It bored the hell out of me. Happy now?

  • So sad that they didn't make this project instead of the new Galactica that I never really got interest in watching more than 2-3 episodes. Nostalgia of being a kid watching the original film and show is just too strong compared to watching a completely remade version. There's so many other Sci-Fi series that are brand new since the 90's. Why redo completely Galactica wen they could have just conitnue the orignial story!? Thank You Richard Hatch for trying!

  • Ohhh how I wish this project had succeeded! It would have made an awesome series, IMHO better than the other re-imaged series Syf-Fy network did (although I liked it fine too).

  • This is what the Original Battlestar Galactic should have looked like

  • "Come get me you little tinheads!"

I believe the correct phrase is toasters.

  • Did this 'retelling' of the BSG story using the original series include Galactica 1980? Was the time on Earth factored in?

  • @chewie211171 From what I remember, it was supposed to disregard the 1980 series entirely (not a bad move if you ask the majority of the fanbase).

  • With the right effects guy on the job this could have been great. Plus the new Battlestar on SiFi just SUCKS. Also Starbuck as a woman is just wrong. You can have a woman just like Starbuck, just not as Starbuck. Sort of like you can have a woman kick ass like Cynthia Rothrock, but she ain't ever going to be a Chuck Norris. So you can have a show go by the name BSG but it will never be Battlestar Galactica.

  • @TK0332 The thing is, if it wasn't called Battlestar Galactica, you'd probably call it a complete BSG rip off.

  • THE Greatest Fan made video of all time!

  • This would have been so cool. To bad they didn't go with this.

  • Yeah I kinda like it. I looks like a sort of mix between both series in that it has a somewhat darker feel while still keeping the good ol' 70's cheezyness. I think this would have been a somewhat good show.

  • this looks sooooooooo bad, no wonder it was never picked up

  • There's no reason why this series couldn't have run side by side with the revised BSG show somewhere in syndication. Based on this clip I think It had potential. Fans of the original series would certainly have backed it up.

  • @Radiumscape I agree 100% with your last statement! You bet I would have picked this up!

  • Pity they held this trailer so hush hush back in the day. They showed it once at Dragon Con and then never again as I recall. I had to wait for youtube, ten years later, to finally see the thing. Had they released it to the web back then, let anyone see it who wanted to see it, it wouldve got severe word of mouth and gotten a LOT more noticed and famous. This looks a lot better than the sappy new BG on sci fi.

  • this is even worst than the original series which really sucked...had mormonism written all over it---just another cult trying to gets its hands around America, same as the commies, socialists and facists as well as all the religious wing nuts in this great Nation.

  • so they fled to Earth, lived there, learned that the cylons evolved in a deadlier form and then decide that they are going to retake their home world.... makes sense....

  • awesome!!! this could have became some really great sci-fi series. a bit of star wars mixxed with the galactica content! =WIN

  • It's not bad for what it is, but if this had been made into a movie, as is... with the same costumes, actors, writing and direction it would have been a terrible failure. The only audience it would have pulled in are the hardcore fans of the original series. It almost certainly inspired those with more money and resources to make the revamped series, though. So, I say well done Mr. Hatch, you are a gentleman and a scholar, and I salute you. Huzzah!

  • that would have been epic

  • Wow that would have been glorious. Too fucking bad they never got a chance to make it.

  • Hatch remortgaged his house to pay for this trailer. It's dated now, but as a one man project, it's stunning.

  • @Morriusvids well I wish he would have comed to the fans to help finance this film I would have invested for sure.

  • @Morriusvids you have to admit it was a labor of love. Yeah its dated, but it has potential.

  • Hatch was the executive producer. I Don´t understand why he doesn´t ending this project. No cash?

  • Maybe they can make a new movie and cast Hatch as Baltar.

The role fits since he sold out on the classic fans and hopped in bed with Ron Moore after a few bucks got waved under his nose.

  • @ReverendSyn ROFL! I love how people use the term "selling out". In the real world it means compromising one's own virtues, ethics and morality for the sake of payment. Instead people use it to mean mean it as "They did something I didn't like!" It couldn't POSSIBLY be that someone accused of selling out actually believed in what they were doing. That would be silly.

  • This is so cool... and much better as the other remake !!!! I love this Trailer !!! And nice Hans Zimmer music inside :) I hope so, that this project with this actors are realized. (Sorry about my english !) All the best, mario

  • I spotted BJ Honeycutt!!!

  • Being a huge fan of the original BSG and of Richard Hatch, I would have definitely watched this.

  • I really wish this would come to pass as I am a HUGE fan of the original series.

  • Anyone notice that Sci-Fi's Battlestar Galactica ripped off some of the new cylon raider designs from Second Coming?

  • @DefconWarningSystem i think it's obvious to anyone with half a brain how much they actually stole.... hollywood has a habit of stealing good ideas from the people who actually has some talent, only to give them to their pawns.

  • Neat, but cheesy and outdated by 1999. I watched the old series a bit, interesting but I was never a big fan. The new series does not interest me at all.

Also, is that part of the Crimson Tide theme?
