6. China used stirrups widely by 500AD, around 300 years prior to Europeans. Fortified cities and siege warfare equipment, cross bows etc were widely used in Warring state period, a long time before Europeans. Military tactics were highly developed during the same era. If the Chinese wanted to be aggressive and colonize, they had all the means. But the Chinese governing philosophies then were mainly non-aggression. Aggressive territory exploit were frowned upon.

4. In Australia, America, the native people's culture are on the verge of being destroyed by colonization. Byzantium empire was lost forever but its culture has not. European colonized China, and Chinese identity was lucky to survive. It survived partly because of its long history and the pride of its people.

You have to ask why the Han Chinese, despite China being ruled in different time by foreign races with more advance militarily, managed to become the dominant culture in the East, and its people the most numerous, the surrounding races slowly recognized themselves as Han, how the foreign emperors when ruling China try to adopt Han culture, and why one of them even force his race to use Han surnames and speak Chinese.

Also, keep in mind, much of the Chinese weaponry were designed to fight bandits, and raiders. Evident from their lack of Firepower.
Items such as leather armor, which were practically useless against any metal weapons, repeating crossbow which could hardly penetrate anything at range.
Romans on the other hand, were geared for conquest. From the devastating Ballista, to ship wrecking Fireships, which by the way, the Chinese had to trade for to get their hands on it later on.

How does the Han chinese survive as a culture and a race. How does the Han Chinese survive for 5000 years continuously when the other ancient civilizations become forgotten? These are the questions to ask. Is it their culture, is it their technologies? Are there something to learn from a race that survive and prosper for so long despite being surrounded powerful enemies and even conquered by those enemies at various times?

Leather armor with metal studs, or Lamellar armour, were the primary equipment used by the Chinese. Some, later on, near the 200AD, began using metal strips, meshed with leather.
Romans had Iron Laminated Strip Cuirass, and Chainmail. Vastly superior to that used by the Chinese.

I am getting tired of teaching you world history. But here it goes before I sign off:
The Mongols were not in Western Europe but they were fighting European Knights in various battles. To name two such battles:
Battle of Legnica, 1241, Mongols defeated a united armies of different Polish states, Knight Templars and Hospitaliers
Battle of Mohi, 1241, Mongols defeated the heavy calvary and Knight Templars of the Kingdom of Hungary. Half of the Hungarian army was killed.

In the early Mongolian raids, they were quite succesful. But again, this caught the Polish off guard.
But, in later attempts, they were defeated repeatedly without much effort when Bela IV decided to take some military reforms against the invaders, in 1280s.
Essentially, what we have here is just introducing a foreign tactics of hit and run, and catching the enemy off guard. But they learned quickly, and repelled the invasion.

The military reforms include building stone castles everywhere in their country. Increasing heavy heavy calvary ratios in their troops.
Catching the enemy off guard? The Europeans were beaten in formal open battles. the Mongols were not hit and running the border towns.
The Mongols did not have much success later partly because of the stone castles, partly because the forest in Western Europe, partly because they were fighting among themselves.

The Mongols were beaten many times by the Hans during the Tang and Ming dynasty. The same army that finally defeated Hans Chinese were the same army that defeated the various united European armies. Despite this, the city of Shan Yan was under siege for 6 years before it fell. so much for being pushed around.

I noticed that several people refer to the 'West' in their posts. To believe that Europe and the Americas are the same is a basic mistake. Although Europeans settled or conquered the Americas we are not European. Our languages of Spanish and English are quite different from the European versions. Racially and culturally their are huge differences between the Americas and Europe. Europeans would NEVER vote a minority into a position of power. The list goes on....
