look you bunch of faggots - queen Anne was fit and fiesty and above all innocent. You should all be burned at the stake or be hanged drawn, and quatered for your slander!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Why is that 1507 date of birth still around in the video. That date has been discredited now, and most historians accept Anne was born in 1501 or thereabouts. The main evidence is that she had to be 12 in order to enter Margaret of Austria's service in 1513 because those were the rules.
hi everybody i just made a new video about Anne Boleyn and would really like to know what do you think about it youtube.com/watch?v=dLeAnUAgeWA&feature=related thank you so much! oh, and nice documentary!
Mary was the oldest, born from henry's first wife catherine of aragon, then goes elizabeth, anne boleyn's daughter (second wife), then edward, the third wife's son.
@pipii5 It's a historical fact that Mary actually was the older sister. She was born 1500 - 1 year or 6 years BEFORE Anne. Philippa Gregory changed that constellation in her novel "The other Boleyn Girl" for dramaturgical reasons.
It MUST be noted that Henry sought Papal dispensation in order to marry Catherine of Aragon; which is a matter that was impossible to overturn. Be logical, H8 wanted Papal permission, in both directions?
Also, Anne Boleyn was pregnant at the time of their marriage.
Cromwell had pushed Henry's marriage to Anne of Cleves. Henry took one look at her, turned to Cromwell and said "what remedy?" She knew the skills of running a household, but didn't dance or play any music at all. Henry had fallen in love with Catherine Howard before she arrived. She was smart enough to agree to an annulment in return for being allowed to remain in England as his "sister". Cromwell wrote begging Henry for mercy so much that Henry had his head cut off. Commoner's died slowly.
Oh and Anne must've fallen pregnant before they were married (January 1533) when they were on a trip to Dover/Calais in November 1532, the first time Anne and let Henry closer than just the usual courting only, she might have felt that she couldn't keep him and his affections in distance much longer. (7 September 1533 - count off 10 months = End of 1532) They might have made it official after the wedding only as it wasn't good to admit havin been pregnant out of wedlock back then.
Strange if you think exactly 475 years ago on this day she was brought to the tower in the evening, she might have been meeting Master Kingston right at this moment...
If she was born in 1507, then it must have been in Hever, since they lived there from 1505 then.
There's dates like 1501, 1505 or 1507 as possible. It is widely belived that it was 1501, since Thomas Boleyn, her father, once wrote that his wife gave him a child every consecutive year. Thomas Boleyn and Elizabeth Howard were marrid roundabout 1498 or so and had 5 children of whom 3 survived: Mary the elmdest, then Anne and George, the youngest.
amazing video, she was born at the earliest of 1499 to the latest of 1512! It isn't known what she looked like. Anne tried to be kind to mary but she blamed her for everything!! the swordsman was hired before Anne's trial so even if she was proved innocent (and innocent she was) they would have still murdered her! I do not believe she was selfish at all, throughout 1533-1536 she donated to lots charities, by 1536 everyone loved her,not as rumoured at her final speech. Queen Anne Boleyn R.I.P
@MissAlisabeth1 Indeed! Cromwell used every information he could gather on her, more hersay stories than true facts to twist them in dubious half-truths for which he could accuse the Queen of. The Queen was unpopular among the people and ok, she might have done some bad comments -who doesn't know the situation of speaking faster than you can think? There was a 50/50 chance on the outcome, it was either Cromwell or the Queen to go down, and Cromwell made sure it wasn't himself. Argh...! :-#
And i prefer Boleyn's family, than the Seymours! The boleyn had a free mind, they protected artists like musicians, poets....the painter Holbein have lived in their house, they didn't deserve what happenned.
Ann was the ONLY real passion in Henri's life. For her, he put his nation in danger, for her, he isolated his country from THE REST OF THE WORLD,for her, he decided to separated England from Rome, for her, he chased out a real princess who was Catherin of Aragon; yes.All that for her. I don't think he would do such things for a "Jane Seymour" or anyone else! And finally, the prosperity was for her! with Elizabeth. A great great and courageous Woman. That's what ANN was.
Queen Anne Boleyn was a woman of passion, vitality, intellect and charm. Her daughter ended up being one of the most powerful Queens in history. I admire them both...as I do Queen Victoria who has been a magnificent power unto herself and an extremely generous soul. May God bless all three of them. Although I have to say that I admire Queen Katherine of Aragon for her strength in what Henry put her through.
Thanks for the info, but I have to say it was hard reading the text across the screen. My eyes seem sore afterward. It was very informative, thanks for posting :)
Though her story is tragic, without the strength and sacrifice she exhibited to the world, Elizabeth would have never been Queen. Anne was far ahead her time for that era. However, she stood her ground, stubborn as she may have been.Without her sacrifice, we would all have remained Catholic's forcibly. Though Katherine of Aragon is well liked even today. Had she remained Queen the world would be much different today. All thing's happen for a reason. Such a shame it came with such a high price.

She wanted power, and although she was fun as a mistress it was unacceptable as a wife and Queen. The way she dismissed Katherine simply laid a path for her to be passed over if he lost interest.
You should have mentioned the fact that most people thought her to be a witch due to the fact that she had 6 fingers and 3 nipples. Henry also brought this against her and used it.

Henry didnt fall in love with Anne. He just stopped loving Catharine. the fact that Anne was playing Hard to get made her queen and made her lose her head proof: books and movies The Other Boleyn girl Catharine of Aragon The King's pleasure The tudors the children of Henry VII the children of england the secret diary of Anne Boleyn the rise and fall of Anne Boleyn Henry the Eight
Henry's marriage with Catherine was made for political reasons and for political reasons Wolsey decided to finish it. The King agreed hoping the anullment would build a strong French alliance and a son for himself. Anne came into scene and Henry changed his bride. I wonder how History would have been if Renee of France would have been Henry's second wife...
