Oh dayum I used to play this to death! This joint still tight! I Miss Aaliyah, and her & Timbo collabos. Timbo's beats, plus Aaliyah's voice equalled music Perfection. I really miss those days...
This was one of my favorite tracks from this album. The other track sampled the theme song to "Knight Rider." A year later, Busta Rhymes used that same beat.
It was these kind of beats that had me hooked on Timbaland back in the days. One of the coldest drum patterns I had ever heard. Plus Aaliyah just set the whole song off.
Daaamn I didnt know this song was on that Cd..Cause I some Aaliyah Deluxe where it has 3 Cd's in a pack & this was on there. I swear I fell In love with this song all over again. Timbaland needs to make beats like this again..but it'll never be another Missy or Genuwine or Aaliyah. I wish I was born in the mid 80's atleast so I could've got more of a chance to be a teen like I am now who's really into all kinds of music. This is when artist had fun making music & didnt worry about all the bull!
I miss these days....If Aaliyah was still alive this music would be too. They were all so great together, such a sexy, smooth music...The best!!!It's so different now,but we'll always have memories of a girl that changed R&B for life..I love you and miss you Baby Girl!!
@MidwestFemcee765 This is true, the other day I was listening to a mix somebody did on here with "cheers 2 u" and "one in a million" it blended perfectly since it was essentially the same beat.
I weep with you on the passing of the 90's. Im sorry we'll never get them back but,GOOD NEWS, We can re-live them anytime by going back into the vaults and playing its extra ordinary music. Peace
@kurojin97 this is the real timbaland...when he was producing sick beats like this he was on par with Dr. Dre. especially with the Up Jumps Da Boogie. that beat is ridiculous.
Deeply underated! The bass on this is sick. I love her vocals, the production, the beats, everything. THIS was classic Timbaland back when his music was relevant.
man, you could wear what you own! good music, i miss this, the simplicity of music back then, now its all about what your income and bank statements say or what you drive....please bring back the 90's
quality music isn't it? it's time for it to come back. people listen just give me a few more months and i got what the music industry's been missing music.
for music video i say timbland has inspired me to become a music video producer/ director however, people change grow and we here and get new visions and sounds nothing is the same in fact if it wasnt for change everyone and everting would be lame and plain music in the 80's to the 90's so its a field we creativity is at its best just like timbland THE BEST!!!!!!
u know what i still got this ablum matter of fact i got all of their ablums from the mid/late 90's inducling ginuwine, aaliyah, missy, playa and nicole timbaland and magoo i was like 10 or 11 i was a huge fan in still have all they ablums today
its called evolving and growing... one ever stays the same... michael jackson did it, he went from soul "abc" "rock with you" to "bad" and "dirty diana"
and the music tim makes for pop ppl isnt that bad... it still bangs!
no its called following the money..he's a sell out..The stuff he makes today DOESNT even come close to this and other stuff he did with Aaliyah, Ginuwine and Missy etc..
im a real timbaland and aaliyah fan and i have to admit homegyrl is right, this is called evolving, the music industry has changed so you have to evolve, he cant make the same music that he used to because hes not working with the same people, he cant give madonna or justin these kind of beats that doesnt fit them, but dont worry i respect your opinion though, but as an artist or producer u have to evolve
But evolving doesn't necessarily mean that you have to deviate from what makes you "you", y'know? he's not the the "same" Timbaland..I liked his stuff up until Brandy's cd "Afrodisiac", which is SO a Timbaland-sounding record..Like when you hear it, you know what he produced, as opposed to now, where it's like he's faded in with the rest of the producers..What made him interesting and different and TIMBALAND is just gone, and is replaced by this commercialized money monster.
you have right, he's music today is terrible, I wanna TIMBO & MAGOO ! They was amazing, and Missy,a nd my angel Liyah, This is was the best clique ever...
R.I.P. Aaliyah, dam beautiful and talented;(

This is the coolest, slickest music in the 90's. Aaliyah was the new Quiet Storm, after the Anita Baker era.I miss this, real bad.
