Er...no. Zeta, thanks to the Titans, showed to Char, definitively, that spacenoids need independence. And I'd say, from his view, that dropping asteroids on the Earth so that it can begin anew and that spacenoids can have freedom from oppression is fair play to the Titans' gassing and destruction of countless colonies.

The problem with the one year war was that it was only one colony trying to conquer and or destroy the rest with only their superior people surviving. No the blonde woman is Beltochika Irma. She's supposed to be Amuro's g/f in Zeta. She also had a sizeable role in the novelization of CCA, known as Beltochika's Children. I don't understand why she's never been seen outside of Zeta, though.

The plot of Zeta convinces me that Char's Counter Attack should have never been made.
In Zeta Char seems to have evolved beyond his rage against the Zabi family and his thirst for combat.
Char's tyrannical aspirations in counter attack remind too much of Haman Kahn.
