@echOiOnE I use a GNOME desktop with Compiz fusion to give shadows and transparences. In bottom you can see a gnome-panel with DockBarX applet to manage apps. The desktop background information is made with conky and some conky's configurations. I don't remember what theme was used. Now i use "Orta" for gtk widgets and "AwOken" for the icons. Also, the background icons are disabled using gconf-editor.
