@WillyPhister remember that only n/a eclipse with a 420a piece of shlt dodge engine are american, gs-t and gsx have a 4g63t motor in it brought straight from japan made in the Nagasaki mitsubishi plant, so turbo eclipses no matter how much it hurts you are consider jdm same as the 3000grt vr-4 and dodge stealth r/t turbo, in japan call mitsu gto, dodge/chrysler suxs that why mitsu had to let them go.......mitsubishi=jdm, the name mitsubishi sounds american to you?

So yes the 4g63t is made in japan but the car as a whole is not an import, they were all built in Normal Illinois. Therefor not JDM.

@21nuno You are correct on the not being a JDM part. DSM's were made in Normal, IL. But you are wrong about the fastest 4 cylinder. Brent Rau's fastest 1/4 time with the 4g63 is 6.87 sec. Chivy King's fastest time is 6.84 sec with a Toyota 3s-gte.

@venom3114 they were ASSEMBLED in america. if they were american then why is everything metric and why is the engine made in JAPAN? also, the exhausts that give the angled tip were originally found on Jap performace cars as they wanted the straightest exhaust possible and greddy, apex'i etc use that as a design reference. there were other cars made at the diamond star motors plant besides the eclipse, talon and laser and my galant is one of them.

@Ryguy430 gs came with a 420A non turbo engine the gsx was a 4g63 turbo awd the gst is a 4g63 turbo fwd now the gen 2 4g63 was shit, best to swap a 6 bolt from a gen one into a gen 2 dsm and for the people saying shit about jdm ur retarded the gen 1 and gen 2 eclipse talon laser was made by dsm. dsm stand for daimond star motors which is when christler and mitsu merged for about 10 years.. soo technically dsms are mopar :P

I havent installed it yet cause its a 3" DP. in about a week im putting it all on. Down pipe starts 2.5" then 3" after the flex section into a 3" high flow cat then the 3" catback. Hey does the catback have the o2 sensor bung for the stock o2 sensor?

If I remember correctly, its a full 3" all the way. If I were you, I would order a downpipe at the same time if you can afford it right now. Just remember to do the pricematch, hopupracing . com has it for $525 so price match it from them, thats what I did.
