I know that you say you aren't a musician but I think you are... or if more accurate, you're a great mixer. because yes these people are playing the tunes but you are putting specific sounds together to make a totally different song. it's exactly like using samples so therefore it is your own music.
I disagree with knofle. Sure, the chords were a bid muddy, but kutiman is limited by the quality of the recordings. I think that the sound quality of the original videos is to blame for the (very slight) mismatch. The actual notes of both performances do blend extremely well. Thanks to a little editing magic by kutiman, now they even sound like an intentional jam session! :-)
Lol - reading that featured comment. I was actually grooving on the tonal clusters!! The bassist had some great color tones in there. To each, their own, I guess. Great work!!
i don't like the mixing of the 2 pieces. The bass is way to excited, rather than creating a solid fundament for the guitar's harmonies - Gustavo's song is intended to be a solo?!
