HOORAY for MSI Wind shitty speakers! It's the only problem I have with the Wind. After about 3 months, the speakers are still the only problem i'm having...but that's because they suck, lol. Gonna buy some nice model train speakers (they are just the right size) and add some extra sound padding around them so the sound doesn't resonate throughout the whole damn netbook, lol.......or I could just buy a nice pair of mini speakers to use for when I'm traveling.
The problem with headphones is that I sometimes need to play music for my choir. In most cases you can just open up your laptop, turn up the volume and you're good. But I had to buy external speakers...just another thing I have to carry around with me, lol.
atom is hyper threading--- single cored processor can do double threads as the most dual cored procs. A have got Intel pentium 4 HT (penryn or something) and it is fucking fast
the new winds have been locked from getting overclocked above 1,750ghz but the older ones can get to 1,9 their figuring things out about overclocking atm ill inform it asap
Thanks, I figured out it was HTT from another video. Also, thanks for the explanation of HTT, but i already knew what it is. I am running one on my pc.
wow that runs good my mum has a eee pc that cant even handle x264 video at 720x400 plays slow and lags so much

CoreAVC pro (+24% OC @ 1984mhz) and Media player classic, I've even had 720p playing smoothly at 800mhz with that combo!!

you can overclock the atom possessor to 1.9 right?
extr3m 3 years ago
If this is not a dual core, how come the system monitor shows two cores?
fghj034 3 years ago
intel said that the atom can do core 2!! :D
kiloah92 3 years ago
There's absolutely no reason it should lag on a Atom, just play your 720p video with SMPlayer on Windows, or Mplayer and derivatives on Linux.

MKV test results:with coreavc & MPC, works flawlessly, didnt check the CPU but never lagged like in this video. Did a 720p spongebob.

It is a WMV HD file that loads the processor.
ocworkbench 3 years ago
There is no overclocking feature in the BIOS.
ocworkbench 3 years ago
No, you don't need the BIOS! It's much simpler than that.
FN + F10 -> the power-button-led should change from blue to orange and you did a 20% overclock.
onwb9 3 years ago
Have you turned on the overclock in this test?
Thanks.
