Gorrillas are known not to be aggressive at all. That's because they are vegetarians and the only type of meat they usually eat are insects. The one you have to watch out for is the grayback because he has high testostorone levels. The reason for this is to protect his family though, not to hunt.

Your brain reacts to CO2, not O2, - if your CO2 is low, then your O2 level is fine, don`t have to breath. But in mountains both your O2 and CO2 levels are low due to low pressure - your brain doesn`t command you to breath more since CO2 is low, while actually you need to. So eventually you start hallucinating, then pass out and suffocate before waking up.

talk about over-dramatization. those wonderful animals don´t need that. a little more about the gorillas and a little less about OMFG altitude! would have done nicely, thank you very much. i´ve just made the same trip two weeks ago, in rwanda (parc des volcans) and we also got to spend a whole hour with the gorillas, which was a once in a lifetime experience. it wasn´t scary (or very taxing) at all, those animals are so calm and gentle.

@shussey100 It cost me $560 to sit with them in Uganda and it was wonderful. Our guide said that without tourist money, there would be no rangers and that poachers would kill them all in 2 to 3 years. You get just one hour with them so they stay wild but become human habituated.

That's interesting. I did not know that humans and gorillas share the same set of emotional face expressions.

I know that is true for the larger breeds of dogs, where you can recognize a smile on a Husky or a Golden Retriever. But I did not think that gorillas would display bemusement by contorting the same facial muscles as a human.

Plants need both CO2 and Oxygen. CO2 is for photosynthesis and Oxygen is for Respiration. If they is not oxygen, Plants will die. Respiration take places all the time.

Nope. You're wrong. First, they don't breathe - no lungs. They take in both oxygen and CO2 through stomatal pores, oxygen they use for respiration (we could probably call breathing) and CO2 for photosynthesis.

During the day a lot more oxygen is put out than taken in, however during night NO oxygen is put out and they simply take it in, as no photosynthesis has occurred.
