They had this game in an arcade at Knoebels Grove in the early 80's. It was my favorite. I started getting good at it and used to make it through the Void Zone. It was tough though . . . even more bothersome with a buncha mouthbreathers gawkin' at ya while playin'. This and I-Robot were my faves.

I would play this game on my gamecube. when I heard his voice I would hide under my pillow till my brother killed him but on the game cube you can set the max lives to 99 this game would creep the shit outta me!!!

LOVE... THIS... GAME!!! Unfortunately, I'm not old enough to have played it in the arcades, but am old enough to have had many, many, many hours of playing the game on the William's collection released for Playstation. Awesome stuff. The name Williams should be as recognizable as namco or nintendo in video games.

I dreaded playing this as a kid, Sinistar was that fucking scary. Finally got to play it on MAME back in the 90's. Tough as hell, and still scary.

This was a game of multi-tasking! You had to destroy enemies, destroy asteroids, AND outrun Sini-star, before he came to devour you!

Man, I played this game a lot back in the day. The graphics were actually good and the very smooth. Sinistar and Defender...oh, and Robotron were some of the hardest arcade games to play.
