  • im so young and i love heart! music was soo more idk... just better in the 60's and 70's hey check out blind melon no rain! and it make my day if u said i brung u there lol love and peace STOP SOPA!

  • this group was 5 stars.....absolutely great......

  • they had a great back catalogue to enjoy.... a good mix from rock to country style.

  • Holy CRAP! I love both of them just as much IF NOT MORE today than ever. LOVE HEART

  • Stunning... beautiful

  • Thanks for posting.

  • Could listen to all day long .great song

  • There has to be a reason behind the thoughts of who gets in and at what time. I’m fairly sure this is not a race, what happens today is probably irrelevant tomorrow as far as music is viewed. There must be some type of requisite and analyzing of multiple affects of the music besides the selection of the notes, compositions and the vocal sounds involved?

  • @11dimention11

So from my understanding "Blue Moon of Kentucky” a Bill Monroe tune was covered by Elvis Presley who is often referred to as the "King of Rock and Roll" both of these versions can be found here on the YT. Just one connection to R&R long before most here was born.

  • It's the Rock n Roll hall of Shame until Heart gets in.

  • This is a great fucking album. The hard songs, the soft ones, all good. Was 12 when it came out and my older brother had it. Saw them play it live in 78 or 79. Will probably be thinking of these as I die.

  • I used to want them in the Hall of Fame until I saw who was in there. I know everyones definition of "Rock" is different, but there are bluegrass, country, jazz and blues artists filling the place. That doesn't include the pop acts. No wonder acts like theirs can't make it easily or at all. Bill Monroe in the rock hall?

  • @dm1121ww Yep...Bill Monroe is in...but a great rock artist like Steve Winwood had to wait till 2004 to get in.

  • she's so beautiful!!!

  • imagined if youre living in the 70's and going steady w/these ladys..man build me a time machine , Fast !!

  • This beautiful song should have been longer!!!!!

  • A terrific band. shamefully overlooked and under credited.

  • This is one of those songs that sound so good I'm disappointed when it ends. My only complaint is that I wish it was about twice as long as this.

  • sounds very country to me but nice to listen to aswell first time hearing and seeing this song

  • enchanting-

  • The way these vocals are recorded are sooooooo 70s, i love it.

  • This is a neat little tune. Of all the stuff they did, I think this is the best one. Outstanding audio and video quality in this clip.

  • Ann Wilson is so beautiful here.Stunning!

  • i'm dissappointed that the girls can't even put their differences behind them for a short while so we can re-unite this original line-up for just a few moments and a few songs they were so great, never to be bettered no matter how many musicians they go through, sad just sad other bands even the Eagles played together with Bernie, Randy, & company, not sure if Don Felder was still part of the band at that time (1998?) whatever Nancy & Ann just....DO IT>>!!

  • @MOSKII58 This line up will never be beat I agree just get over it DUHHHHH

  • @danielnordeen i have been over it, but now i hear they are honored by the RRHOF and i am hoping to see them bury the hatchet once & for all, what's wrong with that??

  • Just fantastic. Nice sound & image quality, too (for YouTube). Thanks for the upload.

  • Better music from a better time. What amazing talent.

  • Rock and Roll Hall of Fame NOW for Heart!

  • this can make a man pine.A womans plaint tugs

  • Many types of music.Surely in rock is up there with linda ronstadt, joni mitchell, karen carpenter. Her sister has a nice voice too

  • makes me cry :) happy cry though

  • I have seen heart about a half a dozen times over the years. They were simply incredible. Ann and Nancy sang, wrote their own music, and both played multiple instruments. I use to lust for Ann, it was not just her looks but the whole package. The incredible talent she possessed was amazing. I will say that the personal problems she had did take a toll on her and her music, But their music in the 70'd and early 80's was wonderfull!!!!!

  • Good lord, this video just brought tears to my eyes.

  • @goopah Me too!

  • I lived in this time, it was and is the better part of times for me.....

  • People are in here making all kinds of comments that know NOTHING of this band and were'nt even born then. Back in the 70's female bands were unheard of and these women rocked our world. Nancy has one of the most beautiful voices there is.

  • @justmep61 Female bands were unheard of? Huh?? Tell that to Janis Joplin, Linda Ronstadt, Grace Slick, Blondie, The Pointer Sisters, The Supremes--to name only a few of the many.

  • @McGarVision I don't think you understand justmep6. With "band" it is meant that you play an instrument and together with your band mates make your own music whilst singing. Otherwise you are in a "group". (As in pop group.) The Pointer Sisters and Supremes were not in any bands, but rather in pop groups.

Blondie is actually a male band, fronted by Debbie Harry. (Bet you thought she was Blondie). Janis Joplin used a back-up band, and Linda was with Stone Ponies (I think), another male band.

  • @stofpoeper Um...I don't think YOU understand there are 3 MEN in Heart. That's 3 out of a 5 person group!!. Right there in the video. LOL ...How does that fit with your theories? Or maybe Heart is a "male band " fronted by women?? LOL...Your statements are pretty amusing. Thanks for the laugh today and glad you enjoyed my video

  • @McGarVision Lets not get too technical.. Yes I love this song and video and it has been in my favs for a long time. So thanks yes for the upload. Best regards.

  • @stofpoeper Lets not get too technical? ?...You mean-- like you did? Just used your logic to point out how flawed it was.

  • @McGarVision: I'd say you're both correct. There were prominent females in "rock bands" before Heart (e.g. Jefferson Airplane) and there were female groups (e.g. the Supremes).

However, they weren't common, and Heart is the first band I can think of that was known primarily for being a female "band." Yes, I know it wasn't all female, but when people think of Heart they think of girls. Moreso, anyway, than for example Fleetwood Mac, which also featured two females around the same time.

  • @badpdx Thank you. Well said. I couldn't resist challenging the other guy's logic because he was so nasty and condescending.

  • i think that i am in love

  • I think in the early days.. as looks go..

Ann had it all over Nancy..

Nancy just looked to waif and young..

Ann looks hot back in these days.

    But as we all know..

    Nancy would sure grow up!

  • If britney spears was singing naked onstage she would be one tenth as sexy as the wilson girls up on stage just rocking. saw them four times in the early to mid eighties.

Absolutely memorable. Nancy doesn't seem to age.

  • When things are hectic, or I am blue, I crank up the volume and play this two or three times in a row! Gets me back in a good mood to take on the day!

  • I wish they let me is what I meant say.

  • Marshmop, I wish I was old enough to stay-up and watch it (only 6 yrs. old at the time). I sure my parents and my older sister and brothers might have watched it on Midnight Special. Honestly, I wish they did!

  • interesting mix of 2 songs (silver wheels + dreamboat)

  • Absolutely beautiful.

  • I remember watching that show the night it aired in 76. They were great then and still are after all these years.

  • LOL!

  • @DianelysTatiana Right on! You know ur stuff

  • Oh my gosh, the chord change, the singing, and the picking in the beginning gives me chills. Yes I'm a guy.

  • Recorded August, 1975 , It is the title track from their debut album Dreamboat Annie and was released as its third single in 1976. The song had originally appeared as the B-side to Heart's debut single "Crazy on You" earlier that year. This video is not 80's... circa 1976 - 1977

  • I love Ann's smile at 0:54

  • Thanks for posting this! I love this song and I Love the Wilsons. They are Amazing!!!!

  • Ann is SO beautiful--still is

  • Burt Sugarman's show 1977

  • I love how Nancy went from this to a sexy 80s woman with an electric guitar :D

  • I wish the song was ten minutes longer!

  • Stunningly beautiful song.

  • Oh my is this ever good. Was one of my very 1st records I ever bought. thnx-

  • They are fricken AWSOME!!!!

  • The twelve people who dislike this song have to be tone deaf or just plain idiots lacking any resemblence of mustical taste. Perhaps they need some "rap-crap" or a steady dose of an over rated Justin Bieber.

  • VERY NICELY DONE SO COOL LOVE THOSE GIRLS. THANK YOU FOR OLD MEMORYS.

  • There's only two women who can really sing, Judith Durham (the Seekers) and Ann Wilson (above) both awesome!

  • id listen to ann sing names out of a phone book

  • nancy is so freakin foxy

  • League

  • I've loved this since I was a teenager, when it first came out..................such incredible talent here...............I used to have the album, but from overuse, I broke my phonographs, and my records scratched...........and for the tape of it that I owned, I listened so much I broke most of my tape recorders...............thank you so much for posting this!

  • One of the best female voices in rock n roll history!........"Jagar"

  • i cant do my homework while listening to this...

i keep wanting to watch them play

  • Thank you forever for this upload. And would that be Howard Leese on mandolin?

  • @seekabove no, it's roger fisher.

  • Fantastic!!!!!!! What year and where was this recorded?

  • Who looks as good as Ann today and sings 1/2 as well ? I'm glad I grew up in the 70"s !

  • these ladies just ooze class and they are both smokin' hot ...WOW!

  • Comment removed

  • This was their best song and my favorite.

  • These ladies were awesome! Great original music and NO autotuning. Go Heart!!!!!!

  • always great!!!!

  • This is soooo subtile ,and good music , beautifull ladies too!

Pitty, there 's nothing left ,,just like live...

  • I HEART Heart.

  • she looks like Colleen Camp, the hot maid from the movie Clue...

  • I love Ann and Nancy...

  • I never realized how great this song was before I watched this video...now I can't stop playing it.

  • goddesses <3

  • This was back before all the white girls tried to sing like they were black. You know all that woo woo woo shit like Christina Aguilera .

  • @oldsmar2

I agree, give me Ann any day. she could sing the crap out of Christina without even trying

  • i wish i could've lived back then to be with that blond chick, then again she's out of my leage :(

  • @MyGodzilla99 So is spelling

  • @MyGodzilla99 I just finished my time machine....... its not too late!

  • @MyGodzilla99 this is all you have to say? What about the incredible talent that they possess?

  • @MyGodzilla99 She still looks hot today for her hage too!

  • pretty girls and pretty music

  • this is very nice.... Ann is so mesmerizingly beautiful.

  • The MAN has lowered the standards in the music world and allowed AUTOTUNE.

That is what went horribly wrong.

  • @Texican64 Aint that the truth bro ....

  • @Texican64 Aint that the truth bro ....

  • This was MUSIC. doesn't get any better than this.

  • Fabulous, what a great song and presentation

  • wilson sisters ... know what I mean?

  • Nice hair styles. Here is to FREEDOM.

  • was, and still is, in my opinion, their best song!!

  • @iowajeep I like this one too- and the first Heart album I had

  • Me to!

  • I wish I were young again.

  • This girls voice is amazing .

  • fascinating look at 0:54

  • 9 people would rather be seen with Lil Orphan Annie than Dreamboat Annie

  • Holy Toledo that keyboardists hair is scary!!!!

  • you guys need to get a life..........

  • Heart is Awesome! Beautiful voice

  • How did we get from that to where we are today? What went horribly wrong???

  • @NJStormSpotter samething that goes wrong with everything in America.mass production, inferior product gets thru, less quality control, and we as a people just accept it.dont believe me???just look at coca cola.we get the HFCS.people around the world get real sugar LOL.oh well, gotta love lady gaga LOL

  • @shoobee101 I hear you and believe you. I know the whole deal. Once and a while when I see a video like this, it just make me wonder out loud. One doesn't need talent these days in any genre of music today. You just need to have a big marketing company or be an outrageous "exhibitionist." Personally, I'm not into teenie-bopper music or people that wear raw meat outfits. : )

  • @NJStormSpotter We let the niggers have too much freedom

  • @wiegajc The racial slurs are not necessary or appropriate at any time when having a respectable conversation or comment. I don't think the decline of music is a race issue as much as a decline in morality. If Marvin Gaye was alive today, he'd re-release his legendary song "What's Going On" simply about the conditions we face today and how it impacted the music world...especially the hip-hop scene with all it's anger and acceptance of disgusting lyrics that people like.

  • @NJStormSpotter Auto tuning and the glorification of un-educated misogyny would be my best guess.

  • @solticpanzer Got to agree with that. I guess these days you don't need to know how to sing with AUTOTUNE dominating chunks of the music scene...good thing it dominates the scene in which I don't listen to or care about. Whew!

Also, these people have got to get off of this "I come from a bad neighborhood" or "I'm a gangster" or "I did time in jail" kick. Normally, it's something respectable people try to hide at all costs, but the morons out there see it as it's something to be proud of!

  • @NJStormSpotter What went horribly wrong is that this just isn't America now. It isn't America as we knew it. There's an elephant in the room, and everybody knows it - but they're too afraid to acknowledge it. Political correctness rules, and we've suffered as a result.

  • @NJStormSpotter idk my friend i ask myself that question all the time. their are still little glimpses of hope though in underground music

  • @bullrage74 I can only hope. Besides the horrible "music" being put out, it's getting tiring of see these awful " so called artists" over tattooed and looking like corpses. Ugh!!! No more! It's not attractive and not helping the case!

  • @NJStormSpotter I KNOW!! its crazy! i wish it was still like that!

  • @NJStormSpotter Hi,!

You took the words right out of my mouth, Why is music so beautifull anymore ??

  • @NJStormSpotter What went horribly wrong is The Eighties.

  • cant get any better love u!!!

  • Seriously, does no one have the intro tab?

  • What a great sound they have always had. Love to see them young like this again. Great times listening to Heart!

  • Thx 4 posting ~awesome video~gr8 intro I've never seen until now! beautiful ~ I've been listening to Hearts since the beginning & got "The Road Back Home" loved. And now I'm gifted with this musical & soulful treat. peace

  • I feel so nostalgic whenever I hear this song. So much beauty, yet it makes me sad.

  • The dudes had more product in their hair than the babes!

  • Sooo seventies haha :)

  • Oh so beautiful...Ann and Nancy Wilson...sisters...it really doesn't get any better than this!

  • SO AWESOME TO SEE HER THIS YOUNG :)

  • A most talented group of individuals!

  • incorrect. For every woman there were 1000 men. Sure all these women and many more made it but it was much more difficult. Particularly if they wanted to run the show.

  • The sun kissed the sea as I lay by this shore...a surging memory that I’d seen them before. Head over heels she runs off for some more, and the ocean waves clash she pretends to ignore! Her magic tricks of light a subtle hint to deceive and the sea roars against the gloom he receives. A soul is sent from heaven - a signal to believe; blue skies on green eyes chasing rainbows in a stream. A moon without stars a fading scene...drifting deep in the ocean an indelible dream! (drndrfn Key West Fla.)

  • Seriously though, Nancy fucking rocks.

  • The old grey whistle test. What a great show that was.

  • i wonder how long it takes Nancy to fly to Heaven and back?

  • i would have married Anne back in the day

  • I still think it sounds like a Carpenters' song after all these years. Karen would've done it good too!

  • Perhaps the most perfect version of this song was a capture from the Captain and Tennille variety show circa 1976. It used to be up here on The Tubes, and I adored it, and am heartsick (NPI) to find that it's now gone. Does anyone, perchance, still have it?

Please post it and be my hero!! :^D

  • sublime

  • Comment removed

  • @scitsalcoryp IKR They are the complete package; they got it ALL going on!!!

  • whoa nancy is hot :D not to mention incredible at guitar

  • This is an ourstanding video both acoustically and visually.

  • @JSP1996 Thank you for the compliment!

  • This is such a beautiful song!

  • Or Karen Carpenter...singing and drumming! Rock's most famous female drummer...although eclipsed by her heaven sent vocals!

  • For Omniculler, I have forgotten neither Stevie Nicks nor Joan Jett. If you think Laura Nyro was not appreciated, you don't know song writers. If you are telling people that neither Joan Baez (Guitar) nor Carole King (Piano) could play instruments, I don't think they will agree with you. Women did not attempt many things until the woman's movement began. Nonetheless, the legal, medical, political, and corporate fields were far more biased than music.

  • @LariatQ What you say may well be true, but it doesn't answer the fact that many men at the time did not believe women had any business leading a mixed gender rock group. I said that until Heart, most people still were not accepting of women in mainstream rock. I said nothing about the skills of other women. I said that the Wilsons were still up against the misconceptions of men regardless of the efforts of women before and during their own time.

  • @Omniculler You are dead wrong that people were not accepting of women in mainstream rock until Heart. Heart is an outstanding group, but they did not break any gender barriers.Women were long established in rock before their arrival

  • @McGarVision

Agree. Love Crissy Hynde also, Blondie. The girls were kicking butt.

  • @LariatQ You said that women did not have to break into music. And I said you were dead wrong. That other professional fields were even more difficult for women to break into doesn't help your argument any.

  • This song is about coping with the agonizing lifestyle throughout the 70s in America especially during the Vietnam War; as a former refugee fleeing that damn war in 1975, I can clearly see the messages this song expressess...

"...goin' down the city sidewalks alone in the crowd..." Wow, how haunting that has always sounds to me!!!

  • I'll be buying a fishing boat soon and I will name her "DREAMBOAT ANNIE"...your inputs and opinions please!!!

  • @phambo101 Fuckin a right! I'm gonna name my daughter Ann Nancy or Nancy Ann. Which one?!

  • @phambo101 srsly best boat name EVER

  • Nancy Wilson is the perfect woman.

  • @maskounes Yeah, no need to describe everything a perfect woman would be. Just give example: Nancy Wilson.

  • @Omniculler

Exactly (followed by a million exclamation points)

  • Ann and Nancy rule............

    Tears Reign again

  • I loved this album so much it was and still is awesome. 4 of them came from the Seattle area USA before moving to BC CA.

  • It is Time for Heart.......take me Home

    Again...I love You

  • what a fox back then

  • Ann and Nancy take me away...somewhere close to Home !

    I Love You
