just for the record, one would have to be as sharp as a god-damned bowling ball to believe that the adorable fish starring in this here blessedly marvelous masterwork of a film represents Jesus, or Christianity in any remote way. the fish is simply itself-- a darling fish. if it were meant to represent Christianity it would've rather assumed the identity of a block of petrified shit.

Essa animação tem mais camada de interpretações que podemos, a primeira vista pensar, a figura de um monge (que me parece ser Franciscano) e um peixe remonta aos primórdios do Catolicismo e nos leva a máxima que o mais importante em uma jornada ( que o monge acaba fazendo) é o caminho e não chegar a algum lugar. E ele ser guiado pelo peixe nessa busca/caminho é muito simbólico, quase que como uma busca pelas raízes, por encontrar de novo um início.

Sem querer dar de professor de literatura, pra ver o final luis deve-se olhar nas entrelinhas.

O peixe tem um significado, o egito remete a uma passagem da biblia, provavelmente nao cristão podem nao entender.

O peixe eh o simbolo dos cristãos.

Talvez o monge tivesse perdido sua fé.

This piece is one of my favourite animated shorts!! "The Businessman" cartoon of mine is slightly inspired by this one.. Well, not intentionally, but the running cycle came out so similar, so I was probably subcounsciously making an inspired mod :P GREAT film!
