Thank you for your post. That is a very creative way to create a compost bin. While inexpensive, the materials you used (because untreated) will also begin to decompose over a short period of time. Concrete is a natural green product made with sand, gravel and Portland cement. It does not pollute the environment. Treated timbers may be the worst. I designed and made my compost bin from six untreated pallets/skids and minimum metal fixings. It has a waterproof lid and the total cost was 50 cents! I would be worried about making a compost bin from concrete - it is one the most polluting building materials on the planet..
