Of my experience, that i also had Bulimia & pro ana.. i lost 15 kilos in 3 weeks. It took a drastic turn in my life. Wich i regret so badly. Because now it has consekvenses.. But that was how i chose to be that time.. I really hope that so many people will think about, what they are going into, Be smart! Xoxo malene <3

  • You are beautiful.

  • Katie, you are incredibly beautiful and strong. You're story is really inspiring and you have so much logic behind your issue. I genuinely believe that you can beat this. Thank you for being so honest, it's so inspiring to see. X

  • I wish i had your strength.

  • This was very inspiring Katie! I don't have an eating disorder but I’m currently writing a research paper about eating disorders specifically anorexia so I'm glad I came across your interview. I think you are beautiful. I wish you the best :)

  • Thanks for sharing your story Katie. It gives me a glimmer of hope that I can beat my anorexia and bulimia. Keep up the fight!

  • psychiatrist or psychologist ever has, and i'm thankful every single day for the women who helped me. perhaps for some, money is the only incentive to get out and fix their problems. ("i'm paying so much for this, i have to go") -so i see where you're coming from. but might i just say, you sound extremely ignorant saying as bold of a statement as "free therapy never works". in this case--it does.

  • @katherinelh22 Hey Katie, I just want to say that you are so brave for sharing your story. I'm citing the video as a source in my final research paper for my health class in college (I hope you don't mind that I did) and I hope that you are doing well today. :)

thank you for sharing your opinion, now let me tell you mine:

by the way, i'm katie hunt (the girl IN the video) and let me just tell you that

a few years back, when i was in high school, my mother paid close to $400 a session to see a Psychiatrist. We did not commit to my therapy BECAUSE it cost so much. while this may be hard for you to believe, i was much more committed to my free therapy here on campus--they did much more for me than any

  • i cried during this idk y recently ive been having bouts with food and purging i honeslty idk how i feel about myself or what i will do but im rly happy that katie was able to get help :)

  • Free therapy never really works; you have to pay at least something, even if it’s not much so it can work. I’m a psychologist and I know how this. In order to make it work it has to cost you something, the more it costs, the more serious you’ll be about it. If it’s free you don’t commit to it. Of course there’s always the exception, but when it comes to therapy money’s symbolic, (commitment, responsibility, effort, seriousness, investment, etc.)

  • @isabel042085 In the UK we have the NHS. It is amazing. They offer a wide range of therapies and treatments for eating disorders completely free of charge. They have saved my life and thousands of other lives like mine.

  • @isabel042085 If it wasn't free. I couldn't afford treatment and I would have died.

  • @isabel042085 if your a psychologist, you better fix your grammar. that paragraph was written very unprofessionally, with the dumbest meanings behind it.

  • @MildlyMannered How would you know? You’re just an average teenager right? And these words aren’t mine, that is how you describe yourself on your account. Anyway, I guess since you’re just an average teenager it must be “super cool” to correct the spelling, it surely makes you feel “super smart” right? Have a good one kiddo.

  • @MildlyMannered It’s not creepy, I meant to humiliate you but I guess you’re still too young to comprehend sarcasm, typical average teenager. You should learn how to read first because I never said I was a psychiatrist and it’s so immature to say something is dumb when you have no idea about it. Ask any PSYCHOLOGIST the effect that free therapy has on patients and you’ll see. By the way, killer advice on how to dye your hair, did you read it from the box? LOL. Night kiddo.

  • @isabel042085 You (as well as MildlyMannered) referred to yourself as a psychologist.. so wtf? If you were a psychologist I doubt you'd be automatically lumping 'immature' teens--that's a blanket statement and those are really frowned upon. Also, what about young adults and teenagers who have received therapy for 'free' because their parents or insurances pay? Do they not get any benefit because they're not buying it themselves with the money they don't have? Doubt you're a psychologist.

  • Let me start by saying you are absolutely gorgeous! Those magazines suck. I think girls that skinny dont look good. This is a guy saying this. Your body is Beautiful.

  • I feel you girl, thanks for making that video! I have such a hard time looking at magazines and especially for bikinis... because they look so skinny and boney. you are really beautiful and don't need to change a bit :)

  • awsome story i feel the same way sometimes..whats the song btw ?

  • @xokizza your beautiful as well!

  • @xokizza yes, u r!!
