IF you research it, not all of his predictions came true. That is how you know someone is from God. Everything they say will come to pass. Not to put anyone on the spot but, Halloween is a day for Witches and suchlike ones. I can't even imagine what kind of rituals are being held! I've lived on an island full of witches who celebrate this day to the extreme! They were all downtown parading around a huge bonfire, fireworks etc. You can't even go downtown and not have this overwhelming feeling of a demonic presence in the air! My church is having a Hallelujah Party this Sunday so that the kids in my church will not feel deprived or mistreated since they cannot celebrate Halloween by going out and trick or treating like so many of their classmates are doing. They will get candy and if they dress up as characters they will not dress up as evil or demonic characters. I see nothing wrong with this. On the contrary, I see my church doing this as helping to ensure that our kids don't grow up thinking church is no fun.

I'm not an Christian but when I was one, I did celebrate it as a kid. It's harmless, though for religious reasons I no longer celebrate, but a Blessed Halloween to all the Wiccans out there.

Christian here of Irish decent. Im offended when fellow Christians say I should not celebrate Halloween. Sould Filipino Catholics give up their cultural events? What about Native Americans? The Old Testament of the Bible is possibly more accurate than the New Testament because it is based on ancient Judaic Talmudic and Torah traditions. There were many Gnostic books left out of the traditions of the Bible as well. These mythologies predate the Bible and its sources by thousands of years. An example is the Wedding Feast of Capernaum where Jesus turns water into wine. This story was taken from the Dionysus myth where this god performs the same miracle at a wedding feast.

What many of you don't understand is that Christians adopted these holidays and made them there own because they were very popular in there day so instead of getting rid of them they adopted them and changed there meaning to be days for Christ. IF you research it, not all of his predictions came true. That is how you know someone is from God. Everything they say will come to pass. Not to put anyone on the spot but, Halloween is a day for Witches and suchlike ones. I can't even imagine what kind of rituals are being held! I've lived on an island full of witches who celebrate this day to the extreme! They were all downtown parading around a huge bonfire, fireworks etc. You can't even go downtown and not have this overwhelming feeling of a demonic presence in the air! My church is having a Hallelujah Party this Sunday so that the kids in my church will not feel deprived or mistreated since they cannot celebrate Halloween by going out and trick or treating like so many of their classmates are doing. They will get candy and if they dress up as characters they will not dress up as evil or demonic characters. I see nothing wrong with this. On the contrary, I see my church doing this as helping to ensure that our kids don't grow up thinking church is no fun.

While Halloween may be Pagan in tradition , it is not generally accepted as a religious holiday or ritual.
Halloween is a custom that has NOTHING to do with cultism or paganism , anymore.
Halloween being pagan is the least of our worries. I think Jesus would be very upset if he came back right now. We get mad over one day , a single day that is based on a Pagan custom , yet most of American culture was historically pagan.

The Old Testament of the Bible is possibly more accurate than the New Testament because it is based on ancient Judaic Talmudic and Torah traditions. There were many Gnostic books left out of the traditions of the Bible as well. These mythologies predate the Bible and its sources by thousands of years. An example is the Wedding Feast of Capernaum where Jesus turns water into wine. This story was taken from the Dionysus myth where this god performs the same miracle at a wedding feast.

The Bible does support indentured servants, wars as necessary, genocide when God calls for it, "racism" as self-righteous fools would call it, no antisemitism, and definitely colonialism. You need to let go of your idolatrous thoughts and learn to think like God (Isaiah 55:7-9).

I never said that the Bible contained doctrines on antisemitism and colonialism. I said that it was used to promote these ideas. As far as idolatrous thoughts go, my belief and love in God is just as strong as yours my friend. However I do not justify the existence of God as some sort of genie in a bottle or Christ that will wash away my sins. That is a cop-out! An excuse to have some invisible elusive entity to blame problems and faults on. Free will is a gift to mankind, not a curse.

If you would understand God you would know that he is perfect so how can we be in the presence of his majestic if you look into the old testament it mentions a coming one a perfect sacrifice to cleanse us of our sins Jesus was that sacrifice. He died on the cross to cover our sins so that we would be blameless before God the farther. So do you think then that the coming one is still coming then? I'm not a Christian. I think the Bible is an interesting document, and has some gems in regard to behavior, but for the most part is too contradictory for me to take it seriously as a guide for... Pretty much anything actually, and certainly not my soul. You seem to make about as many assumptions and grandiose accusations as any fundamentalist Christian. Interesting.

I agree, not every Christian is hypocritical about the holidays, my point was, none of it matters. I doesn't matter if people celebrate Christmas, Easter, nor Halloween. They all originated as pagan holidays, but the meaning of each has totally changed as society changed. Today no one believes Oct. 31st is when spirits roam about, and bonfires have to be lit to appease the evil spirits, etc. It was absurd then, it's absurd now, and will always be absurd. It's just fun, nothing more.

What many of you don't understand is that Christians adopted these holidays and made them there own because they were very popular in there day so instead of getting rid of them they adopted them and changed there meaning to be days for Christ. For the Jews actually did try to impose the law on Christians But then Paul wrote to them and told them all you have to do is Love God, Love your neighbor, and stay away from sextual immorality and you will do very good. When the Romans adopted Christianity (BTW the Babylonian King he spoke of was known to Isaiah as the title Helel which meant Morning Star which translates to Latin as Lucifer i.e. Phospherus, a title given to the Roman Goddess Venus) through Constantine they naturally put their own pagan customs into their new "faith".
