i don't know what to think, I many way "science" is not what i was taught in school. How can you study life and call it science? I was always told that science follows the scienceific method. How can you experment and test and use a control factor for most of what is called "science" today? Chemisty is a science, i can use the same chemicals change variables and do them over and over agian. Most science seems more like mythology to me. not based on facts, but based on interpertations.

You portray that all atheists argue amongst each other like religious people do, for the most part that isn't true, since atheists are the ones who believe in science. The real threat to peace is overpopulation though. More people need more resources but already we use them at a faster rate then the earth can deplenish, slowly but surely depleting resources. (And the Iraq war is a symptom of that actually.) Even if everyone HAD goodwill towards one another, lack of resources would eventually lead to 'it's either them or us' situations. Ensuring first the destruction of nature, then when that runs out too, war.
Still though, even if all forms of extremism, from religious, to political, to nationalist to what have you, are all eradicated. I actually still think we'd only barely get along better. I think the divisions between humanity are actually hardwired into the very brain chemistry. A strongly emotional vs. a strongly rational brain cannot really understand eachother. Nor can an authoritarian oriented brain a non-authoritarian brain. And I fear these things are genetic.

i don't know what to think, I many way "science" is not what i was taught in school. How can you study life and call it science? I was always told that science follows the scienceific method. How can you experment and test and use a control factor for most of what is called "science" today? Chemisty is a science, i can use the same chemicals change variables and do them over and over agian. Most science seems more like mythology to me. not based on facts, but based on interpertations.

If your so narrow minded to read the book of God out of context then theres not much hope for you... The Quran talks about fighting etc. in context of war. There is no compulsion in religion, (2:256) so all the verses you talk about are referring to either Hell, Gods punishments or instructions during warfare.

Some Christians believe in science and evolution, but they still think it had a helping hand from their God Yahweh, who when you look at the evidence is no more real then Zues or Odin or Susano. The real threat to peace is overpopulation though. More people need more resources but already we use them at a faster rate then the earth can deplenish, slowly but surely depleting resources. (And the Iraq war is a symptom of that actually.) Even if everyone HAD goodwill towards one another, lack of resources would eventually lead to 'it's either them or us' situations. Ensuring first the destruction of nature, then when that runs out too, war.

Still though, even if all forms of extremism, from religious, to political, to nationalist to what have you, are all eradicated. I actually still think we'd only barely get along better. I think the divisions between humanity are actually hardwired into the very brain chemistry. A strongly emotional vs. a strongly rational brain cannot really understand eachother. Nor can an authoritarian oriented brain a non-authoritarian brain. And I fear these things are genetic.

There is no evidence for evolution, not even a drop of it. Intermediate species have never been found. There is proof that the earth isn't even 1 million years old (the moon). Science is observation and application of observation. Evolution has never been observed and has never been tested. Theory = guesses/suppositions, and evolution follows early philosophers: make it up, tell ignorant masses, ignore everything else.

Quantum theory on multiverse shows us that a universe can eixist in alot of different ways with diferent velue of the four fundamental forces. 2. By luck? Philosphy have existed for as long as we have and there have been made observations like the turning of the seasons and so on.
But there are also many stories there that defines all laws of physics and just would not work. Religion are a way of understanding how the world around us came to be. But much of this have been done through philosophy not experimentation.

But the apple hit my head and it stopped falling because the earth is holding it. From codons to spirals, from spirals, to barrels, to multiple barrels, then to chromosomes, then to nucleus, then to cells, then tissue and eventually organism... ALL this ORDERED organization came when everything else is preferred towards more DISORDER... Receiving energy from the sun is irrelevant in the answer to my question... Answer it... @Jaywasaki Well... If you had any understanding of how the laws of thermodynamics this would be allot more easy.
The has a significant efect on these laws. But remember that DNA replicates and "bad" dna get filtered out through natural selection. And every living creature will eventualy die.

@Jaywasaki Ok so you understood good :). It have to do with Enthalphy because as loong as we receive more energy that we use it won't go towards disorder for a loooooong time.
And thing die as a break down in their bodies (enthalphy)
But how could life form? well Im really not a chemist or biologist but I found a good book that might answer some of your cuestions on this point. just google: Handbook of organopalladium chemistry for organic synthesis, Volum 1.

What I really want to hear is your explanation in terms of how does each organism or species know exactly what to do in perfect order? pseudomymerex (the red sting ants) guarding a fruit tree in the desert of australia against other predators. Parasitic wasp that target foreign red stinging ants in America (arizona esp i think) but is completely harmless to native ants.

Species "know" what to do since the spicies that "didn't know" what to do is no longer among us.
This is what natural selection and evolution have thought us.
These acts increase their survival rate and lets the breed.

Another one for you, African bombarder beetle sprays hot acid at 50+ degrees celcius, mixture of HCL and H2O2 yet if u mix them together in a tube nothing happens.... Why is that so?

@Jaywasaki No I admit the complexity of species. But I disagree with that they had to be "made". You can easy find scientific writing on its evolution. A eazy version of the bombardier beetle is the stink beetle. Evolution has just made this beetle more effective.

Parasitic wasps target foreign stinging ants but not native ants, bombardier beetle have acids that include HCL and Hydrogen peroxide at 50+ degrees yet in test tubes they mix but nothing happens... by the chance of evolution? all this happens by chance? the bumble bee dance to show where the flowers are... still evolution? a few birds beaks from an island convinces u its evolution but not any of the others??

The mountains of evidence are enormus on this subject and if you want to know how this works why don't you go look it up?

we didn't directly evolve form great apes there where dozens of transitional forms.
the earth is a open system because it gains energy from outside sources and the universe is a closed system because it dose not get energy form outside sources.
