i hate avery as much as the next guy......but the fact is, the guy can play hockey.....his stats and the rangers win/loss ratio when he is or isn't in the lineup proves that....he can be a consistent 15-20 goal scorer when he plays a full season and who plays on the PP and kills penalties......i don't know too many college players who can claim that

@robosushi Ok, he's looking DIRECTLY at the referee, he's shaking his head "Side-to-side" (uh, that's "no" in any language) AND he says/mouths ONE word, while he's shaking his head "NO". In most fights, when the combatants are tired or finished or had enough, they'll grab and hang on and look directly at an official. Barnaby does the opposite and the officials let it go for another 30 seconds. So, you tell me genius, lip reader; what exactly was he saying that kept the officials from jumping in?

@robosushi btw, re-read my first comment. I said he was "effing nuts" which he was, I saw him fight MANY times and rarely won a fight. Good fighter? no. Tough? Hell yeah. When you aren't an exceptional fighter as he clearly wasn't, you have to pick your spots. That is what Barnaby did for years.

@robosushi he fought every giant in the league (including chara 4 times) and he was never over 190lbs (came in at 175). He routinely waved off refs and told them not to come into fights. He wasn't the best fighter (though he did fairly well when he actually fought someone in his weight class) but he was still tough as nails. Was actually a somewhat decent hockey player too.
