  • i did this but lets just say i need a new 360 ..........and desk

  • how a fuck!?, i wonder how many ppl are still doing all this, just buy a Slim console and forget all that crap!

  • As a follow up to my comment, I was very careful to ot torch anywhere but the heat sink and also made sure I didn't heat it too long, probably about 30 seconds total. I let it cool overnight. When I initially turned it on, it gave me the RRD on the first try, then gave me a 2 light error, but I also hadn't fully assembled it back up yet. I didn't have the fan duct piece back in yet, and once I put that back in, it turned on full green 5 times and I

  • This totally worked for me! Torched the heat sink, plugged it in the next morning and it turned on 5 times in a row, green lights, after RRD so bad it wouldnt turn on at all! Thanks for a fabulous 'ignorant' solution!

  • Thats like saying "hey, I hate you cause you don't like Cheddar cheese. Fuck you and your Swiss cheese lovin' ass."

  • Nice video! Btw why are people saying ps3's are better and to go buy one, why are they even on this video? If you have a ps3 then stop searching how to fix an xbox.

  • Lol forgot the fan shroud there.....good vid thanks for the help i just heatgunned mine works like a champ

  • I think a blowtorch is a bit extreme. We just tried it on 2 separate xbox's using a hairdryer and they are now running BF3 like a dream

  • Don't head the heat sink. Your gunna ruin your GPU. The 0110 error is a ram error or cold solder joint located on/near the ram chips. This will only ruin your xbox360 it willnot fix it.

  • has this worked for some1?

  • Polska potwierdza :) nie wiem jak, ale to działa :) zrobiłem tak jak kolo i wszystko śmiga :)

  • @alaczo mi też działa all

  • Own baking and chip frying.. owning a xbox 360 is a crash course to home cooking.

  • Damn this gave me 0003 error now :( lol

  • I did exactley what you siad and now my Xbox does not turn on anymore. Im so pissed GRRRRR :(

  • I am confused, 0110 is ram, but you heated the gpu?

I also have this error, ugh I got RROD recently.

  • @RenegadeFury 0110 also can be a cold solder joint under the GPU

  • wtf? 0110 is cpu overheating. put 1washer on each side not 2, xD

  • @Iwrruk this does work it jump starts the thermostat, this is a different way of doing the towel trick. Sorry but you got your fact wrong

  • hahahah ....ok i`m sure i dont have to say this as the intelligen t people amongst us wouldnt do this , but for the dumbass few...DONT PUT NAKED FLAMES ON YOUR XBOX ...dickhead

  • @lwrruk dont judge people on how they do shit go troll somewhere else

  • @WhosFluffy fuck you , moron . I guess you`re another blowtorch user huh ...fucking dick head . I`ve been an electronics engineer for 20 fucking years so dont talk to me like i`m some spotty kid that dont know what they`re talking about , Go ruin another console or two ....prick .

  • 1 was lucky and my 0110 was from the x clamp shorting the capacitors

  • the blowtorch looks epic cause its blue :D

  • @booguh2k7 you have to reball if reflow doesnt work

  • would be nice if the video came with a blowtorch... jokes aside, it worked. nice job!

  • man i've reflowed the GPU and RAM and I still get 0110!!! What do i do?

  • @booguh2k7

make sure the x clamps aren't shorting the capacitors

  • @booguh2k7 You need a professional GPU reflow. Nothing to do with RAM, but with RAM connectors under GPU.

  • You need to run games off the HD to lessen it happening again, the DVD drive warms up and toasts the GPU even more, making the solder dodgy

  • @tomfurstyfield

Thats why I don't have my CD drive in it's normal position, my Xbox is completely taken apart for hotswapping, and I keep the CD drive on top of the white part on the fans so the heatsink underneath it can breath

  • LMAOOO thats sick

  • i spent the entire night owen baking my 360s...and FAILED!!!!]

thats it!!!! am not a fanboy or anything im just a gamer.... i know the 360 is hell fun and i still wan to buy a new 360 but thats it i can not afford anymore RRODs....PS3 it is!!!!! FUCK YOU MICROSOFT ! :(

  • @rustyragster buy a slim :)

  • @Clubpenguin520 cant risk it bro ... the slim is new and all but i don have faith in them anymore....though i hate my ps3 now the controller sucks alot if ur used to the 360 one

  • @rustyragster if u want you can get it reballed for $85 heres the link to the site dports.me

    Your welcome :)

  • @Clubpenguin520 i live in pakistan ..... but thanks anyway :)

  • @rustyragster just do the 12v fan mod

  • @Aimanrulez tried it didnt work and plus you dont want to do that and steal power from your dvd drive.

  • @rustyragster i see but i have done it nothin wronge i had my xbox for over 4 years didnt change it ;)

  • @rustyragster until you get a YLOD on the PS3. (PS same fix for both

    )

  • @rustyragster 12 volt fan mod duh!!!!

  • @rustyragster no fuck you you are a fanboy fuck off with your stupid ass little ps3

  • @TheChickenrun3 i have a 360 and a ps3 and enjoy them so u go fuk urself

  • @rustyragster go suck a dick PS3 fanboy

  • @TheChickenrun3 is that how you were born?

  • @TheChickenrun3 I laugh at idiots like you who try to start a war just because someone has a different choice of console. Do you realize how much of an asshole you sound like right now? ITS A FUCKING GAMING CONSOLE!!!!

  • @rustyragster then let it fix by a pro instead of trying amateur tricks.

    a normal oven ???

and there wasnt a moment that you thought, what the hell was i thinking?

  • @ImmortalUniverse iv fixd tons of 360s with the oven trick except the one i own myself :(

  • fuck you.

  • merci !!

  • Great tutorial on how to ruin your 360.

  • hey numb nuts the issue in the first place is the xbox getting too hot all your doing is melting the motherboard. What are you gonna do in a week when it gets rrod again? maybe that time your xbox will completley catch on fire you dumbass

  • or you can towel trick it and never turn it off.

  • You forgot the fantunnel which caused the fans to go louder and louder in the and xD

  • you are a noob. all you need to do is re tighten your screws as if you used the nylon they will shrink over time with the heat. Not only are you scorching your xbox you are banging it around. Could cause a bridged connection. I don't suggest anyone to do this.

  • you are a noob. all you need to do is re tighten your screws as if you used the nylon they will shrink over time with the heat. Not only are you scorching your xbox you are banging it around. Could cause a bridged connection. I don'tt suggest anyone to do this.

  • it only works because it resets the system, it will mess up in a couple of days, unless the solder did in fact melt back together

  • And how the fuck is this dude a retard or how is his video a fail if the damn system works again seriously watch the fucking video before commenting you sad cunts

  • WTF the fuck is up with the GS3 fanboys seriously FUCK OFF and go play back on your little pussy ass GAYstation that apparently doesn't fail well WTF is the ylod ha and the online play is fucking shit the whole GS3 system is shit go get an XBOX and be real men not little pussy fanboys!!!!!!

  • @highstona777 You sir just called yourself out.. Labeling Ps3 owners "fanboys" and telling them to go get an Xbox 360 only makes you sound as if your an Xbox 360 Fanboy...

  • @bladekiller990 i am a xbox fanboy and i dont care what people think its just all these playstation fanboys commenting on xbox 360 rrod videos to give microsoft more shit but the rrod is long gone now they have fixed that problem so i dont know why playstaion fags keep on commenting on these sort of videos =D

  • @highstona777 Alright now I know where your coming from, personally i do like both but i like the PS3 more because i grew up on play station as a kid.

  • @bladekiller990 yeah well both are really good consoles and i also grew up on playstation but somehow i ended up with xbox haha but i still have my playstations and i got both but i mostly use my playstation for watching bluray movies and playing games like gh and other games i use my xbox mostly for online so yeah are both good console in their own way its just im more interested in xbox =)

  • Your a retard

  • this works but it could last 2 years or 2 days

search up how to do a xclamp fix and heat gun reflow your mother board

  • Are you serious?

  • lol wow it worked

  • Good man, microfractures suck, and heating up the chipset making it work. simple yet affective

  • you suck

  • @cumesoftware you idiot. you know gaystation 3 gets the YELLOW light of death at the same rate as the xbox. plus the gs3 has a CONSOLE LAG. so its just as fine to go get an awsome xbox 3shitty. (im an xbox fan)

  • @ZAZM4ST3Rv2 Unfortunately, the facts are not in your favor. The PS3 has a lower failure rate.

  • Incredible! Got a knackered hdmi falcon model last week with 4 lights. Found a capacitor that had unsoldered so I repaired that and got to 3 red lights. Already had xclamp mod on it so I re did paste etc, no joy. Could not overheat it either.

Decided to try this and incredibly it has worked. BEfore this the best I could get was the menus and trying to start a game froze or rrod. Now it plays fine. Been on for an hour so far. Fingers crossed. Thanks for the video!

  • Worked for me! Thanks! :D

  • HAHA WTF! BLOWTORCH! LOL i think i'll stick with my heatgun fix :D besides i've never got the RROD again after i did the heatgun fix :P

  • OMGOD!!! It work perfectly for me! After using the blowtorch, wait like 30 minutes to be sure that all is right. With that trick, you can fix:

    0100

    0101

    0102

    0103

    0110

If you are in garenti, don't try it =x!

    Thx you

  • Take the heat sink off first...

  • co za moron.

  • I would trash that and buy a PS3. Really, it is shocking that all XBox eventually fail that way because of poor materials and manufacturing processes! Micro$oft sucks at software and hardware. They are just incompetent idiots.

  • Thanks! But I managed and hair dryer, heating up to 30 seconds after a slight pressure! 2 Rrrod first one, then started the machine! ----vooálá

  • Guys, i was also skeptical, but had tried the other things people had suggested, with no success. As a senior engineer at IBM, i understand unorthodox methods are sometimes quite successful, and as nothing else had worked, i resigned to try it. To my surprise, it worked. i did 12 seconds of direct heat with a propane torch, waited 20 seconds, and did another 12 seconds. Cant argue with success. Bailey734, condemning something that has obviously worked, is stupidity at its finest.

  • I bought a xbox 360 that had rrod. When I got it it had 2 red lights but I took it apart and fixed the guys work before me and now it has a secondary error code of 0110. This means a ram chip problem and I saw on one of the ram chips on the bottom it had a little chuck out of it, what should I do?

  • You fucking idiot. Get a proper reflow.

  • LMAO i tried this because my Xbox was practically Dead funny thing was i forgot i had put the plastic washers xD melted forgot the heatsink had a copper pipe in it melted xD and the mother board bent xD i was sooooo tempted to putt the GPU off with the whole MOBO LMAO!!! now i still get RROD but with a beep and i think error 0001 xD idc im getting a new one it was fun to burn mine out xD

  • when you unplugged it sounded like you ripped of velcro.......what was that you were doing when you were holding down the sync button and clicking the eject button?

  • Thanks a lot dude for this fix, actually I was able to bring my dead Xbox to life with a very simple fix.

    Thanks again!

  • Wow it's sucks that you have to do this to play games xbox fails again

  • omg amazing how that fixes it so u do it every few months?? i seen a guy fry it on a oven lol ima subscribe to ur creativity!!!

  • Honestly I wouldn't use a blowtorch, that's just a dumb idea. Blowtorch would probably cause you more problems then you would fix.

  • ok guys but i have a question .. what do you do when the error 0110 is caused by the ram and not by the gpu???? thanks a lot for who can help me

  • And for the retards saying oh look the AV cable aint plugged in,Fucking learn something you retards!!! 0110 error code is a memory error or memory overheatin

  • because YTN3rd most haters are about 13 years old so when there xxbox get's rrod they cry to mummy like a little bitch and because mum hates the sound of her winey little brat of a son she goes and buys him another one to shut him the fuck up,,

but the people who actually look for a fix knows some idea how to fix. if its reflow/blowtouch. frying it. or baking it.

But i would of took the heat sink's off and replied new thermal paste, then put them back on then done what you did mate, but GJ

  • DUDES ! just didi on mine and worked !! .... brought my 360 back to life....thx

  • DUDES ! just didi on mine and worked !! .... brought my 360 back to life....thx

  • I have no doubt in my mind that this works. But Im surpised there are no haters saying its a different xbox in the start of the video than in the end of the video.

  • xbox 360's are pieces of shit. I went through 6 360's before I finally gave up on microsoft. PS3 is the way to go.

  • be careful not to melt the capacitors they are only rated to like 98 degrees celcius

  • LOOL THE REDNECK WAY ROFL

  • LMAO, i like how he doesnt have the av cable plugged in....that will give you the rrod. And using a blow torch is the dumbest fuckin idea ever. Spend a couple hundred dollars and get a rework station...

  • yeah it may work for the time you do it.. but what happens when the solder melts off the prongs again and or leaks over to another circuit an shorts out your xbox?.... Do it the right way and fix your x-clamp

  • wow I'm SO surprised this works.. been thinking about trying this for a while now on my 0110 box.. no joke

  • ninja blade FTW

dude wierd...it only lets u know that they could have fixed the prob but were too lazy, oh and if only it was as easy as duct tape and wd40

  • dude, you need that air duct on there for optimum cooling!

  • omg!

  • .that thing was just about to shut down you can tell from the fan speed trying to compensate for the heat which im sure a few people have heard them do

  • there are rarely any problems with xbox 360s(or most other electrical items most of which are done in china including the old xbox)they look just as good as nokia phones made in japan i think to many people that have no idea diagnosed them i bet it is something else i had one with a solder fault and it didnt even light up just clean the mother board with metho and get rid of the thermal paste.

Now i think ill get my chainsaw out the shed and make a sandwich.

  • there are rarely problems with solder joints in xbox 360s it would be something else everyone just started diagnosing them and talking shit now everyone thinks the red light means your xbox is a throw away just clean the mother boards now im going to get my chainsaw and light my neigbours house on fire so i can have a pop tart, retard

  • woo that fixed my xbox, now I just keep my fan on so it doesn't happen again, only thing my fan is so loud,I'm gonna get a stand fan for xbox you put on bottom, maybe that will work along with the intercooler, but thanks for video tutorial it worked good so far. I hope it lasts a while but I live in new mexico so it's pretty hot in summer so I need to leave fan on or it will happen again,

  • @daMods100 u can´t hairdryer only make maximun 67º celsius, blowtorch make 1900º + !!! thats why you need blowtorch

  • im not knocking your shit cuz it seemed to work, at least temp. but i wud never do this. if i was you, id get one of those industrial heat guns, its infrared and can get as hot, if not hotter than a blow torch and they're under 100$ and is way safer. i've even resoldered/reflowed with a 20$ walmart heatgun and repaired more than a few. ive even used a table top griddle/stove top and a heatgun before as well.

  • is that really all you have to do cus the ps3 ylod u have to re sinc the graphics card and the cpu but on the vid u only seem to be only doing one thing what is that ur blowing on the gpu or the cpu and ppl say this vid is fake whats up with that?

  • im pretty shure that voids the warrenty

  • @mryummynummy Nah, The warrenty is fine. Enough.

  • @mryummynummy yea this is the only way i can fix mine since my warranty is already voided :(

  • Howd u make the lights spaz out before u used the torch on it

  • You're nuckin futs.

  • Amazing, i have the 0110 also, have tried everything, but this is brilliant, it applies that crazy amount of heat to one spot :D

i'll be doing this soon :) thank you

  • I have got a 0020 error would this meathod work also would the heat gun meathod work?? PLEASE HELP!!!!!

  • Worked for me!!! Thanks mate!!

  • don't underestimate the blowtorch

  • @daMods100 not enought heat can be applyed by one of these..

  • im just letting you know that i have a fix for the code 0110 but after about a day the xbox will start to freeze and get the RROD again but if you put your xbox 360 in the freezer for a hour every time you get the RROD you will be fine for awile

  • Have you seen he video on why his fix is bad? I'm wondering if it actualy screws up he solder balls. PS I have actually ried this fix like 4 times, and yes it works for like 4 months for me. I havn' checked the solderballs though.

  • @waterdragon1908

Don't tell me what I'm trying. You are wrong, plus I didn't "try", "I did". I resoldered the connection to the board. I used a blow torch on the heat sync to tranfer heat from the heat sync to the chips to the pins to the solder to the board.

No point and taking the heat syncs off and reapplying the Artic Silver 5 again. Thermal paste is intended to increase the transfer of heat away from your chip to your heat sync. Not for fixing a bad solder connections.

  • @jluoni but you could have damaged other parts with that blowtorch his idea is safer

  • @jluoni You could do a permanent fix like I have.

  • @waterdragon1908

Ok. Your fix worked, but it dried out the thermal patse. Unless you replace it, your Xbox 360 will get the error soon. This is because the thermal past will not conduct when dried out. This is a valid saying because in the end, with your test of Ninja or whatever, the fan was speeding up = heatsink not cunducting enough heat. IT would last even longer if you replaced that.

    Neat though...neat.

    Tristian

    Owner of TANGO GAMES

  • @waterdragon1908 - thermal paste does not resolve RRoD and kick anyone who tells you otherwise.

  • Omg thanks for this vid. It looks so easy! if one of my friends or me ever get this i woud recomend it! :D

  • How to fix things: burn them!

  • yep, deffinently gonna work now!

  • @mastadonmoitab

The video is real, you don't get the 0110 error code from no av cord. Though as I in the video and others have said "this fix is ignorant". I'm an electrical engineer and know how to fix this stuff right, but with that said its better use of my money and time to go to Gamestop and buy a new 360 versus obtaining all the equipment and spending the time to repair it. Use this fix to get your broke 360 through the night so you have time to go to the store and grab another one.

  • @mastadonmoitab dude thats like an old xbox new mother bourds got better heat sinks

  • @123454d Depending on how long you play even new xbox's can break down wih RROD. I have an elite system that has a jasper board (kinda new, 2009). It had RROD cause I used to play like 4-5 hours a day.

  • @mastadonmoitab ASSHOLE 4 RED LIGHTS IS NO FUCKING AV CORD GODDAMM NOOB FREAKS!!!

  • @mastadonmoitab You my friend GTFO.

  • @mastadonmoitab

No av cord would give you 4 red lights not 3 stupid

  • @mastadonmoitab fail

  • @mastadonmoitab The only way to see or read any error codes you have to have rrod, not having the Av cable wouldn't let you read the error code. When you would try to read the error code without the AV cable the cd will just open. So you're wrong buddy.

  • @mastadonmoitab - you'll find that no AV cable will give you 4 red lights, not 3. A simple Google would have stopped you looking like an idiot.

  • @mastadonmoitab wow ur stupid u get 4 lights when it isnt plugged in also 0110 is when the cpu and gpu have lost a connection on the motherboard

  • i don't know why people would use blowtorch, the reason it might work because it melts the soldering leads. which in a safer way would be using a 'soldering iron' and NOT A BLOODY BLOWTORCH.

  • @neogaiden

You need something more like a BGA Rework station that cost at least double a brand new Xbox 360.

  • @neogaiden no it dosnt just melt the soldering it heat the xbox will reset the board that why it works again

  • @mikelfc1991 Im kinda cunfused, i already try heat my xbox with hairdryer, so my last change its really use the blowtorch? i got 5 blowtorch and i will use it IF SOMEONE say it can really works!

  • @neogaiden Where and how?

I mean i got a solder iron but what u mean use it? where shud i use it?

    Thx

  • You fix things like real men do. Props to you.

  • this problem is caused mostly by the two ram chips underneath the gpu if you reflow those it shouldnt get this same error again, if it does the gpu and cpu should be reballed and hybrid clamped. the traditonal x clamp does more damage then good

  • sorry I have to troll this shit....

MY ORIGINAL PS3 STILL WORKS LIKES ITS BRAND NEW.....

on a serious note, buy a new heatsink and thermal paste (arctic silver 5) and you wont have any problems. the shit overheats and melts the thermal paste that is there, so by shock heating it as you did, you probably made the heatsink material re-attach between the chip and heatsink making it work again. heat is bad for electronics. its funny to watch retards do these shitty fixes.

  • @boottmaker LEARN TO TYPE BETTER

  • That is dumb.

    For 1: A blowtorch.. Really ?

For 2: It doesn't work. You can hear your fans spinning faster. Your about to get 2RL until you turned it off.

    For 3: A BLOWTORCH ? REALLY ? WOOOOOW !

  • work my ass. I an hear you console cooler getting start do spin faster. This console gave him 2rl IN FACT :P

  • cool

  • good work

  • My xbox was normal green lights audio working i just had no video my screen was full of white dots . I did the xclamp fix and now i get 3 rings automatically and the error is 0110 Can you please help me

  • don't do this....this kid is stupid as fuck and i bet that xbox is shit by now lol do it right use a heatgun before doing this!!! i did mine with a heatgun and its been working for 6 months....use liquid flux under the gpu and heat it up with the heatgun for 4 mins on high about fist length away from the gpu and hit the hana chip also and you should be sorted

  • blowtorch fix.. rofl

  • man this is insane, using a blowtorch :O omg man this is unbelievable. you guyz heating your 360 to extreme degrees and saying the solders are fixing in that way but what if the solders join together and make a short circuit. its something like your tv is broke and you smashing the tv and saying hey this is the way i fix it.

  • ajjajajaja

    WTF?

  • Sn96.5Ag3.0Cu0.5 is also used for reflow soldering. Reflow soldering is used to attach components to a surface. Components pass through a reflow oven or under an infrared lamp to melt the solder @ 217 C/422.6 F - 220 C/428 F. That is right around where he is heating his xbox.

  • Just so everyone knows. Every method that fixes RRoD involves heating your console to the extreme. Solder's melting range of 90 to 450 degree Celsius (190 to 840 °F). Commonly used for electronics is Sn63Pb37. Solder that melts at 182 degrees Celsius = 359.6 degrees Fahrenheit. So heating your xbox into those ranges replicates the construction processin which was used to manufacture the product. :P

  • fake my xbox blew up :(

  • Dumbass u forgot to put the fan tunnel back on that's why ur fans got really loud lmfao

  • Wow does this really work? I got the 0110 error also after after 1.5 years of using the x clamps. Now I guess my ram chips have been desoldered. What a Crappy box!

But I'm in singapore. How do I go about getting a blowtorch to do this?

  • when i did the x clamp fix, my xbox broke 5 months later, i fixed it again by reapplying the arctic silver 5 thermal compound, and "baked" the xbox again. This fixed it, and its been working for months again. I would not recommend doing this because you can fry whatever is around it and u could do the same process by leaving ur xbox turned on for 40 minutes. =/

  • did the same thing but with a heat gun for a bit longer and it works :D

  • how can people say this is fake for real how stupid are you ?i did it to mine for 7 mins with a wagner heat gun, let it sit for about 20 minutes an walllaahh, for real is swear on GODS soul, it worked for me no lie, now i just hope it does keep doing that cause its a 12v fan mod talismoon blue LED fans an i like it, goes good with my 50" plasma !! THANKS for the video bro you an me know it works fuck the haters !

  • Yes you used a heat gun, which is clean 650 degree heat. This guy used a butane/propane blowtorch, which is a dirty, carbon filled 1100 degree open flame. BIG DIFFERENCE. This video is a great tutorial on how to destroy your 360 in anger after losing your 7th match in a row in Call of duty, but is about the worst tut ive ever seen on how to fix a 360 in any sort of context, whether it be RROD, making the console HDMI compatible, or whatever the fuck this guy is trying to acheive.

  • You know what, this is NOT a fake, because it reflows the solders inside that heat-thingy. However, this may (100% chance) melt the green mainboard under the X-clamp... So if you do this with an heat-blower (not blowtorch), the heat will be spread all over the mainboard, so it doesnt melt or anything! That's hoe it's done (or smach your xbox with an hamer and buy an new one)!

  • hello friend I have a question to be force to work artic silver mine is a second and lights a power source is put into orange and red lights flashing and all three can not do it from pressing the button to know that error have any solution to this problem

  • THATS HOW WE FIX THINGS ON NASA
