  • How do you mix color and b&w like the electric mayhem appeared in the first time through?

  • This was from 1972, wasn't it? I saw the pennant on camera right. (stage left)

  • @JGCooney This one was from 1977 or 1978 as this was the Star Wars episode.

  • I like it :D

  • great song

  • love it when the other instruments come in

  • I can imagine it was weird for the guitar player on the acoustic, you learn to play the best you can, he had to play badly deliberately.

  • I wonder if this is from where I got my nickname from at work...

And I realize he is a puppet and can't really play guitar, but I find it really funny how he is playing a D/F# or D/G the entire song, which effectively means he is sticking his middle finger up the entire song...

  • both to jayef53 and MRSUMONE thank you very mutch.

  • The Muppets are all left handed because the Muppeteers are all right handed. They manipulate the Muppets backwards so they all end up looking lefty.

  • sorry, no.

they do not manipulate the Muppets backwards. they use they're right hand to move the Muppets lips.

  • @jayef53 Most of them are but some are right handed and I'm a right handed person.

  • look how they hold there gitaars.

    left handed,.

so why are they holding them left handed?

  • Because the Muppeteers use their right hand to move the Muppets lips, and the left to move the rest of body.

  • Scooter XD

    RIP Richard Hunt T_T

  • great stuf.

does someone know why al muppets are left handed?

  • maybe a tribute to Jimmi Hendrix

  • Great song! The sax entrance (0:45-0:50) is really great! You gotta admire Jim Henson and everyone else. They were great muppetteers, great musicians, great comedians, great actors... They were great artists!

  • Hoo boy! I am impressed! I do puppetry, and that kind of rod manipulation takes talent (and a lot of practice).

I love this song, too. I like Henry Chapin, but I also like the Smothers Brothers rendition (available for viewing on YouTube).

  • I have a boss who looks just like Scooter.

  • Rest in Peace, Richard Hunt.

  • Very warm and pretty cool in the same song. Pretty deft, Scooter. ;-)

  • Scooter does a great job of Harry Chapins original version of this song, but,No,this is not an original song. This is a cover of the song "Six String Orchestra" by HARRY CHAPIN. Harry Chapin wrote this song as well. Harry Chapin was an AMAZING artist and has MANY MANY wonderful songs. Most people know Harry Chapin for his song "Cat's In The Cradle" or "Taxi", but he has a multitude of wonderful music about everyday people in everyday situations. Check out his music. You won't be disappointed!

  • scooter is also my favorite muppet.

  • who ever thought he wasnt a star....scooter rox

  • your a star to me Scooter! <3

  • You don't know how to spell orchestra do you?

  • I guess not...

  • It's okay. :)

  • @spectre111 I think JDay3000 is inadvertently trying to tell you to change the title of this video to be the correct spelling. I'd have to agree and ask that you please do. Thanks for the upload!

  • What a great song. It is just perffect. A very fine piece.

Is it an original? or a cover? and who wrote and composed it?

  • What a great little song! This is the Muppets at their best.

  • Awsome! I love this music...especially with scooter! :-D

  • so cool! i love the muppets

  • Scooter and Harry Chapin forever!
