When I was about 5 my parents got this movie for me for my birthday, and I watched all of the time. When I turned 10, I stoped watching it. Recently, I remebered about the movie, and it turns out, I've lost the movie! :( I've been looking for my copy for a while so this was great! Thanks for posting this. I never realized the guy that was "Willy Wonka" was the turtle!!!

I love the bit between 00:35 and 00:44 when he keeps on bending down and then looking up again to say something each time. I have this film on video and I think its more true to the book than the disney version - the disney version occassionally tries to be a bit too funny and lacks most of the realism of this one.

Yes, Griffin is the most commonly used name but in this case they use Gryphon which is also a popular way to spell it and how his name is spelled in the book.
